Chapter 707

After playing crazy outside for a whole day, Lin Nan came back, took a shower, changed his clothes, and went out alone.

Liu Yifei was too lazy to follow him to support, she was going to organize the photos and videos taken during the day with Shu Chang and Han Jia.

That's right, Director Lin finally acted as a photographer for a group of people in the afternoon!

At 7:00 PM, the closing ceremony of the 2nd "Jackie Chan Action Movie Week" was grandly held on the Xuhui Riverside in Shanghai.

Shanghai Film Group is half a host, so Ren Zhonglun is the host tonight.

More than half of the big-name guests tonight were basically invited by him, including Lin Nan. And the other small part is Jackie Chan's face.

"Morning bureau, afternoon bureau, and activities at night. Sure enough, even if I am capital now, I still can't compare to you. You can do it by ignoring those social engagements and accompanying your wife out to play for a day!"

Ning Hao yawned and caught up with Lin Nan at the end of the red carpet.

"That means you are too small as capital. Learn from Lu Bu, a great man lives between heaven and earth, how can he be depressed and live under others for a long time! Dry Gan Dong Ping and Xu Zheng, you are the only big boss of Happy Mahua, and successfully rank among the big capital in the circle..."

"You are talking nonsense again." Ning Hao retorted.

Lin Nan was just joking. Ning Hao has never been a qualified capital; he can't do complete black-heartedness, nor does he have the strength to become a big capital who can stand alone; he is actually quite good now.

"What are you two whispering about?"

Wang Changtian waved at Lin Nan and the two, instantly attracting a lot of attention at the scene. Lin Nan scanned the circle, and there are quite a few people who don't deal with each other tonight.

"Nothing, Director Ning said he quarreled with his big screenwriter, and he was driven out."

"Go to your uncle, you were driven out." Facing Lin Nan's teasing, Ning Hao retorted immediately.

The seating at the scene is distinct.

Lin Nan, Wang Changtian, and others are far away from Huayi, after all, during the New Year's Eve file last year, Enlight and Huayi sprayed each other on the Internet, and Director Lin helped.

"Don't need so many media reporters, there are fifty or sixty of them?"

Ning Hao was the first to discover the abnormality. Tonight's media reporters are indeed a bit too many, "Jackie Chan Action Movie Week" is far from using this specification?!

"I heard it was the meaning of Sparkle Roll Jackie Chan Film, and invited twice as many media." Wang Changtian explained in a low voice.

Several people chatted and chatted for more than half an hour, until 8:00, the activity officially began.

Jackie Chan wore a Tang suit and black-rimmed glasses, and walked onto the stage in applause; but he didn't make the opening remarks of "Jackie Chan Action Movie Week," but...

"Very welcome and thank all industry guest friends for taking time out of their busy schedules to attend the 2nd 'Jackie Chan Action Movie Week'.

Before the official closing ceremony awards, I want to take this opportunity to solemnly announce one thing to all media people and industry colleagues present tonight..."

"What are you doing?" Lin Nan was a bit confused.

"Look at Huayi over there."

Ning Hao said in a low voice, and several people looked over instantly.

I saw Jackie Chan stretched out a hand and made a "get up" gesture at that side, and the Wu surname artist beside Wang Zhongjun, Wang Zhonglei, and Feng Xiaogang stood up like this; after the "negative news" of the whole network, he appeared in public for the first time!

Dozens of media were instantly like chicken blood, restless. There is a big move tonight!

At the same time, Lin Nan also narrowed his eyes, and he and Wang Changtian on the side thought of the things at the *The Mermaid* celebration dinner:

At that time, Ren Zhonglun at the same table revealed a thing, that is, Sparkle Roll Jackie Chan Film signed Wu Yifan, and will announce it during the Shanghai International Film Festival!

"That's right, what was spread on the Internet these days, saying that Xiao Wu signed a film and television giant, is true.

Today, taking advantage of the Shanghai International Film Festival, I officially announce to the outside world:

He, the film and television brokerage contract of popular idol Wu Yifan, was signed by Sparkle Roll Jackie Chan Film, which I hold shares in. Come up, take advantage of the movie week tonight to say hello to media friends..."

Under the eyes of everyone, Feng Xiaogang smiled and led the person up, and took the microphone for the first time.

"I heard for the first time that Brother's Sparkle Roll Jackie Chan Film signed Fanfan, and a sentence popped up in my heart: This is a great thing.

I hope Brother can build Fanfan into an actor who can write and fight, an international superstar like you. I treat him as my own son, and our entire Huayi is his mother's family..."

Lin Nan and Wang Changtian and others were a bit nauseous. I saw Feng Xiaogang holding Wu Yifan's hand and handed him to Jackie Chan.

"I'm a bit nauseous, I'll withdraw first..."

Before Lin Nan could finish speaking in a low voice, he heard a media reporter "violently" interrupt the "sending relatives" scene on the stage.

"Jackie Chan, Wu Yifan is trapped in public opinion recently. Why did Sparkle Roll Jackie Chan Film sign him at this time? Don't you consider the social public opinion response?"

Good question!

At this moment, Lin Nan's raised buttocks fell again. Not just him, Ning Hao, Wang Changtian, and others on the side also wanted to hear the explanation.

Sure enough, I saw the Wu surname artist above trying to maintain stability and silence, but his face was unusually ugly; and Feng Xiaogang directly showed an unhappy expression and scolded:

"Have you media verified it, and you are adding fuel to the fire here?

How many young and promising artists in the industry, who originally had a bright future, were ruined by unscrupulous media, and even if they were clarified in the end, it was of no avail..."

"This sentence came out of his mouth, why is there a stench? How many things have Huayi done to manipulate public opinion and harm actors and artists?" Even Ning Hao couldn't listen anymore.

"Listen, after listening, I'll go." Lin Nan crossed his legs and said indifferently.

"Director Feng, you have to change your temper."

Jackie Chan smiled and interrupted Feng Xiaogang, then looked at the media direction and said very kindly:

"Everyone has negative news, actors and artists all have them, I have them too, media have been reporting for years? True, I admit it, I never admit the fabricated ones.

Of course, those news are in the past, but I summarized an experience, the redder you are, the more low-key you have to be."

Speaking of this, Jackie Chan turned around and put his hand on Wu Yifan's shoulder, preaching:

"Be low-key, speak less. In the era of self-media, we don't have the energy to refute rumors or debate or provide evidence for various untrue news one by one; but freedom of speech and hype also need to abide by the bottom line of the law, when necessary, learn to strike decisively and fight back..."

"Withdraw, I gave Shanghai Film Group face to support the awards ceremony, not to participate in any 'signing ceremony' and 'negative news media meeting'."

Throwing a sentence in a low voice, Lin Nan got up directly, bent his waist, and walked quickly to the side door of the venue. Many big shots at the scene, and even official personnel, thought he went to the bathroom.

"That, Chairman Wang, I also withdraw." Ning Hao followed closely and chased after him.

"I..."

Looking left and right, Wang Changtian curled his lips and left silently under Ren Zhonglun's gaze.

Half an hour later, the people from Shanghai Film Group gathered to Ren Zhonglun's side and whispered:

"Chairman Ren, Director Lin, Chairman Wang, and Director Ning are not outside at all. The security personnel said they left by car half an hour ago."

"Okay, I know!"

Ren Zhonglun's expression was serious and cold, and he responded in a low voice.

He looked at Jackie Chan who was smiling and presenting awards on the stage, frowned, and shook his head obscurely again, "What kind of people are these signed."

When he returned to the hotel, Liu Yifei and the others were still fiddling with the videos and photos of the day, and they were quite surprised that Lin Nan came back so early.

Lin Nan didn't explain much, just said it was boring, and changed his clothes and went to the open-air bar on the 16th floor of the hotel, not disturbing the few of them who were busy.

However, Tom really caught the point and called.

"Lin, the filming time for *Fifty Shades Freed* has been set, at the beginning of next month. We plan to land in the North American market early next year, and then distribute it in Europe..."

"Hmm, there is no problem with this time." Lin Nan waved at the waiter and asked for a glass of soda water.

"By the way, there is one more thing. The academy seems to be holding a big meeting recently, and the Oscars are going to reform."

"Hmm, what do you mean? What reform?" Lin Nan really didn't react for a while.

"I heard from James that it seems that the admission qualifications for academy members, that is, Oscar judges, are going to change!"

"Tell me in detail." Lin Nan waved again and asked for a piece of pastry.

"The previous Oscar judges were all lifetime systems, just like you. But after the reform, the newly joined academy members only have a 10-year term. Well, I only know this much for now, and the official document should be out as soon as the second half of the year."

"Newly joined?" Lin Nan muttered.

"Yes, only for newly joined members. The past Oscar judge qualifications are not affected and are still lifetime systems. Many people analyze that the number of Oscar academy members expanded every year after the reform may increase by many times.

Especially for China, because Hollywood sees the development speed and prosperity of the Chinese film market. Therefore, many Chinese filmmakers may be invited to join the Oscar Academy every year in the future.

This is also a purpose of the reform. Although the new members only have a 10-year term, they can use the quota of academy members to greatly narrow the relationship with filmmakers and film markets in various regions..."

Lin Nan understood, that group of people at the Oscars is really cunning. For the Oscars, this is a completely benign reform, beneficial and harmless.

Because the newcomers who get the Oscar judge qualification must be the leaders of the film circle in their respective countries; these people will definitely try their best to pursue and support the authority of the Oscars, making its influence constantly expand invisibly!
