Chapter 820

Approaching the end of the year, Huanxi once again abruptly threw a thunderbolt into the film and television industry, blowing everyone speechless—Dong Ping actually took down Jia Zhangke quietly?!

Lin Nan and Liu Yifei had just sat in Watching Watching Lao Lin's car, and they swiped this news.

Section Chief Jia didn't want to be constrained and bound by Huanxi, so he refused the shareholder cooperation model and chose a relatively independent and equal cooperative relationship:

After Huanxi paid him a large "sincerity fee" for cooperation, in the next 6 years, the former will have the right to exclusively or preferentially invest in movies under the Xihe Xinghui Film industry.

Including 3 movies directed by Jia Zhangke himself, and many movies produced by Jia Zhangke, all of which are art films and realistic themes.

In general, Huanxi's great director alliance can barely be considered to have added another "newcomer", and the total number officially reached 7 people.

"From the perspective of film industry capital, to be honest, I admire this person Dong Ping more and more now. Full of courage, determined to hold together to grow bigger!"

"Since you have returned for the New Year, don't care about work matters anymore." Watching Watching Lao Lin "scolded" Lin Nan with dissatisfaction, his Mandarin is now very fluent and switches freely.

After all, this city is a popular tourist destination in the country, and with the continuous improvement of the national economic level, the number of tourists is increasing year by year;

And the diners from all over the world in his own restaurant all speak Mandarin, so Watching Watching Lao Lin naturally learns passively and subtly.

"Exactly, exactly." Liu Yifei nodded and echoed, with a sweet smile on her face. At this moment, she is like a sycophant.

"That might be a bit difficult? Hahaha..." Lin Nan smiled and shook his head at Watching Watching Lao Lin, the latter must be clear about this, just couldn't help but care about his son.

"Dad, what are we eating for lunch today?" Liu Yifei was very considerate, taking the initiative to change the subject and transfer the firepower for Lin Nan.

"What do you want to eat? You report the dish names..."

Okay, it still has to be Miss Liu, Watching Watching Lao Lin heard this and instantly had a smiling face, and even his tone was much lighter.

Lin Nan, the biological son, once again experienced this "differential treatment", and could only helplessly lean on Liu Yifei and continue to swipe news.

Starting from noon, the good review drafts of 'Kung Fu Yoga' spread across the whole internet.

The gossip revealed by Cheng Long at the premiere showed his international influence to the fullest:

For the sake of his face, the Dubai royal family lent 70 supercars for free, including a global private custom model;

And after he accidentally crashed one while reversing, the next morning, they sent another brand-new car that was exactly the same!

Just for this gimmick, 'Kung Fu Yoga' steadily gained the viewing desire of countless fans and audience members.

And the pressure was also completely given to another blockbuster in the same file—'Journey to the West: The Demons Strike Back'.

Shortly after two o'clock in the afternoon, the conference room of China Film was full of producers of 'Journey to the West: The Demons Strike Back'.

"The costs of 'Buddies in India' and 'Duckweed' are not high, and the lineups are not very good, and other movies are even less worth worrying about, our only competitor is this 'Kung Fu Yoga' by Cheng Long!"

La Peikang sat in the main seat and talked eloquently, but his spirit and complexion looked a bit bad; after all, he had lost battles one after another, and everyone present knew it.

While most producer representatives were worrying about 'Journey to the West: The Demons Strike Back', they also occasionally looked at Liu Xiaobin of Wanda and Wang Zhonglei of Huayi with interest and obscurity.

These two companies are now in a situation of life and death, so today's internal promotion meeting was really interesting.

"The production cost is 440 million, even if the promotion work is done by ourselves, if we want to break even, we need at least 1.1 billion in box office.

So to become a blockbuster money-making movie, it must have... a 3 billion+ box office like 'The Mermaid', because we have a total of 23 producers!"

"As long as some companies don't engage in small actions and destroy themselves because Huayi is a producer when arranging screenings, then I think a 3 billion+ box office is no problem at all."

Wang Zhonglei took Zhang Qiang's conversation and said sarcastically. Anyway, it was already life and death, he didn't mind giving Wanda eye drops in person.

Under the expectant eyes of many people, Liu Xiaobin unexpectedly didn't speak, but feigned ignorance;

Instead, La Peikang glanced at Wang Zhonglei with frost on his face, because in his view, the latter "seeking private revenge" at the China Film meeting was clearly slapping his face and giving him eye drops!

However, Chairman La still suppressed his anger and turned his head to look at Stephen Chow and Tsui Hark on the side.

"Director Chow, Director Tsui, please work harder for the premiere the day after tomorrow, and don't stop the promotion during the Spring Festival. As for the extension key, China Film will find a way."

"No problem, Chairman La." The two nodded immediately and agreed in unison.

From the 21st to the 23rd, news information in the film and entertainment industry can be described as flying all over the sky.

'Journey to the West: The Demons Strike Back' shouted the slogan of 3 billion+ box office again, and Wang Baoqiang also revealed quite sincerely: although his directorial foundation is poor, he has really dug out everything and brought it out for everyone.

At the same time, Lin Nan and Liu Yifei were strolling around low-key, shuttling through the fireworks of the market. Hmm, occasionally they would be "caught".

And Watching Watching Lao Lin's spirit these few days was also unusually full, he even went back to the village, heard that he subsidized some money to several families again.

He is old, the hometown feeling is finally getting stronger and stronger, and for those relatives who often come to take advantage of the autumn wind, he is no longer so annoyed.

But it is limited to this, Watching Watching Lao Lin doesn't want those people to disturb Lin Nan, after all, from Lin Nan's side, it is indeed far away.

Counting, it has been several years, every time before Lin Nan returns at the end of the year, Watching Watching Lao Lin will let the restaurant close, and after Lin Nan leaves after the New Year, he will let the restaurant open again.

As for the reason, it is still not wanting to disturb Lin Nan, not wanting to disturb Lin Nan and Liu Yifei...

"Dad is over sixty years old, why don't you want to rest?"

On the morning of the 24th, when Lin Nan and Liu Yifei came back from outside, standing at the door of the restaurant, Miss Liu asked this question.

Lin Nan was directly frozen on the spot, he looked straight at the antique restaurant door, he was also helpless.

A moment later, Lin Nan looked at Liu Yifei and told her about a very metaphysical thing with a smile.

"Xixi, actually I have persuaded him many times, but... sometimes, many people who have worked hard all their lives, when they are old, they can't stop.

A hobby, a thing persisted for most of his life, if you let him stop, he will become very unaccustomed, uncomfortable from inside to outside...

Many times, once the energy in the heart is scattered, the body will also collapse inexplicably, this is the original words Dad taught me; and he is the boss, only occasionally does it himself, not tired, just as moving bones."

Liu Yifei's expression was a bit confused, but a moment later she understood, "Hmm, it seems there are such examples in many script plots?"

"Art comes from life, but our family is not that miserable! Hahaha..."

Lin Nan laughed, Watching Watching Lao Lin's living state is very healthy, no pressure, only hobbies and a little work as a boss;

If he still has any dissatisfaction, that might be... Lin Nan and Liu Yifei have to work harder in these two years?

On the morning of the 25th, it was also the morning of the 28th of the twelfth lunar month.

The entire Chinese film industry was boiling, not just because a new Chinese film box office record was officially born...

"As of last night, jointly produced by Lin Nan Film industry, Enlight Media, Jin Dun, Yinghuang, China Film, and Shanghai Film Group, produced by Liu Yifei, directed by Ning Hao as chief photographer;

Lin Dao Nan's film work, the mainstream commercial blockbuster 'Operation Meigonghe' has taken nearly two months, and the total box office has accumulated to 3.395 billion... there are still three days until the end of the screening!"

"In the same two-month public screening period, the movie 'Operation Meigonghe' broke and refreshed the highest box office record of Chinese films maintained by 'The Mermaid' 3.39 billion three days in advance..."

"After 10 months, Lin Dao Nan has once again become the holder of the highest box office record for Chinese films..."

"Relevant departments issued a document: As a mainstream commercial blockbuster adapted from the real case 'Meigonghe Case', 'Operation Meigonghe' has very successfully and perfectly completed the tribute to anti-drug police, and has also played a great role in the promotion and popularization of anti-drug work..."

"After nearly 4 months of militarized training, the navy mainstream commercial blockbuster 'Operation Red Sea' crew has successfully returned to Beijing this morning and landed at the Capital Airport..."

"On the morning of the 24th Hollywood time, that is, shortly after three o'clock this morning domestic time, the 89th Academy Awards announced the nomination list and the Lifetime Achievement Award winner list;

National first-class actor, Chinese film and television male actor, film director, pop singer, producer, screenwriter... international superstar Cheng Long, confirmed to win the 89th Academy Awards Lifetime Achievement Award..."

"It is reported that this year's Academy Awards ceremony will be grandly held on the evening of February 26th Los Angeles time, this is also another Chinese filmmaker after Lin Dao Nan won the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay and Best Director!"

Can the whole internet and the entire film and entertainment circle not explode? One is a new box office record, and the other is an Academy Lifetime Achievement Award.

For the former, everyone was psychologically prepared long ago; but for the latter, everyone was completely caught off guard;

To put it ugly, everyone's heart couldn't stand it, because they hadn't heard any wind before. After all, this is the Academy Lifetime Achievement Award!

The public may question that the Best Actor and Best Actress of the Academy have water and are public relations, but for the Lifetime Achievement Award, no one has ever questioned it.

Because those who can get the Lifetime Achievement Award are filmmakers who can't pick out any faults and have made huge contributions to the global film cause!

"Congratulatory calls, text messages, and Weibo, at this moment, are absolutely overwhelming. I guess, Big Brother is afraid he has to hold a celebration banquet?"

Lin Nan was answering Wang Changtian's call while looking at Liu Yifei beside him, Miss Liu was editing text messages and Weibo at this moment.

"Yes, an Academy Lifetime Achievement Award is considered to have made his life complete.

By the way, we set the celebration banquet for tomorrow night, just count it as 3.4 billion; although it will be off the screen the day after tomorrow on New Year's Eve, let it be."

"Hmm, you guys do whatever you want, anyway Yifei and I will definitely be absent." Lin Nan nodded and joked.

"It's okay, we'll make character standees for you two, just stand by the cake, haha..."

There was nothing serious anyway, Lin Nan simply chatted with Wang Changtian a few more times.

With the news of Cheng Long today, it is estimated that the entire industry, no matter who it is, cannot refute a fact, that is: as long as the movie quality is not too bad, then 'Kung Fu Yoga' will likely be the hegemon of this Spring Festival file!

The 25th, 26th... time turned to the 27th in the blink of an eye, the morning of New Year's Eve.

The box office of 'Operation Meigonghe' also successfully broke through 3.4 billion, reaching 3.402 billion. It is only this last day away from the final box office data.

From early morning, Lin Nan didn't stop, helping Watching Watching Lao Lin prepare various ingredients; looking at Liu Yifei again, she was much more comfortable, responsible for supervising Lin Dao... and adding chaos by the way!

"Don't look at me, seriously wrap your dumplings, wait until I record it and send it to you, hehe." Miss Liu took her mobile phone and gave Lin Nan a series of instructions.

"Okay, follow your convenience." Lin Nan smiled speechlessly, and then kindly suggested that she adjust the angle, just this, and was given another hat—mocking her camera skills!

The great Lin Dao felt that he was more wronged than Dou E, do you have any count in your heart about your photography level and camera technology?

"What's with your look? You must be muttering about me in your heart!"

"No."

"Yes!"

"Really no."

"You can't lie to me..."

When playing and making trouble, time always passes very quickly.

Shu Chang and Han Jiav, who don't take the usual path, called in the afternoon, and then it became a multi-person video chat... Of course, both of them greeted Watching Watching Lao Lin.

At seven o'clock in the evening, the sound of firecrackers gradually sounded, and Lin Nan also waited for the fresh data.

Because today is New Year's Eve, there are basically no screenings in the theater in the last few hours, and the audience is even more sparse, so the final box office of 'Operation Meigonghe' can be counted in advance.

"How much?"

"Lin Dao, the summary data from the China Film Distribution Company, 3.405 billion!"

"Okay, thank you Director Yue for standing the last shift, Happy New Year's Eve."

"Lin Dao is polite, Happy New Year."

After hanging up the phone, Lin Nan started to prepare the plating for the New Year's Eve dinner, and Liu Yifei was already having a video call with Liu Xiaoli and the others, laughing and talking.

Watching Watching Lao Lin handed a small dish to Lin Nan and said in a low voice: "Why don't you guys leave early after the New Year?"

"Hmm?" Lin Nan was a bit confused.

"You two should also go there and stay for two days, and then return to the capital from there." Watching Watching Lao Lin said with a smile, the wrinkles on his face were deeper.

Between father and son, they were silent for two seconds like this.

"Okay, you are more thoughtful than I thought." Lin Nan's voice was a bit light, his nose was a bit sour... he was thinking for him again.
