Chapter 916: Lin Nan's Intention; Life-Saving Straw

"This morning, the Air Force mainstream commercial blockbuster *Sky Hunter* held a grand global premiere ceremony at the Great Hall of the People, and Director Li Chen said domineeringly on the spot:

Although I dare not hope to benchmark the epic box office of *Wolf Warrior 2*, I am confident that I can achieve good box office results, at least not dragging the legs of mainstream commercial blockbusters — *Sky Hunter* aims at 3 billion!"

"Fan Bingbing wore a rose-colored ladies' casual suit, wearing an engagement diamond ring, and gave Director Li Chen an 8.5 rating on the spot! Claiming that the latter is the first time to be a film director, really working hard, very hard, very focused..."

"Many leaders of the Air Force and relevant units attended the premiere ceremony of the film *Sky Hunter*... China Film Chairman La Peikang spoke on the spot, presenting a gift to the Air Force..."

On the morning of the 26th, the internet was full of news about *Sky Hunter*, and there was no sign of *The Foreigner* at all; even if there was, it was outside the top five trending searches, or in the sub-section, or in the corners.

However, for those like Lin Nan who attended the premiere of *The Foreigner*, this film was undoubtedly the best film in the National Day slot this year;

It gave all the guests present a particularly complex psychological feeling, nostalgia, missing, sighing that time is like flowing water...

Jackie Chan is old, he is old for the first time in the film; he is no longer that "god" who can fight, can fall, and is invincible, but a "mortal" who will also be tired, will also bleed, and will also be afraid.

This is the personal feeling of all the guests who came to attend the premiere of the film *The Foreigner* on the 26th.

In this film, Jackie Chan took off his halo for the first time and became more flesh and blood; he can't fight anymore, but he still wants to fight one last time, and that is this *The Foreigner*!

"Just like yesterday, the premiere we attended is again the one with fewer big names."

During the luncheon, Liu Yifei couldn't help but mutter; and at the same table were Wu Jing, Xie Nan, Wang Changtian, and others, all their own people.

"That side is after all the Air Force's film, with 18 producers. For most filmmakers and actors in the circle, it is naturally the first choice."

For Lin Nan's joke, Wang Changtian and the others nodded in agreement. This industry is like this, weighing two benefits and taking the heavier one.

"Come, I'll toast everyone, thank you all for coming to support the premiere of *The Foreigner* today." Just at this time, Jackie Chan walked over with a glass of red wine with a smile.

"Big Brother, you are too polite. But it must be admitted that your film is indeed very exciting." Lin Nan took the lead in raising his glass, and others followed, all in agreement.

"I remember a long time ago, I recommended myself to you, you agreed readily at that time. As a result, 10 years have passed, and I haven't seen a shadow, and I can't fight anymore!"

Jackie Chan patted Lin Nan on the shoulder while "drunk," full of complaints and grievances.

Liu Yifei and the others couldn't help but laugh, echoing: "It's a pity, I haven't seen Big Brother act in Lin Nan's (Lin Dao's) film yet."

"Soon, maybe in the near future?" Lin Nan responded with a smile.

Everyone thought Lin Nan was joking to deal with Jackie Chan, but he wasn't joking at all, he really had this idea!

"That's good, then I'll wait a little longer. As long as you open your mouth, even if I don't have a schedule or have a schedule conflict with other films, I will make time for you, hahaha..."

In the afternoon, the internet was still dominated by news about *Sky Hunter* on the front page headlines. The promotional slogan "Air Force version of *Wolf Warrior 2*" spread across the entire internet again.

And after returning home, Liu Yifei reacted belatedly to what happened at the luncheon, she pulled Lin Nan and asked:

"The 'near future' you told Big Brother Jackie Chan, you don't mean that film, do you?"

"I have this idea, if everything goes well. What do you think of my idea, is it very meaningful?" Lin Nan didn't hide it, but admitted it directly.

"Hmm... don't say, if it really happens, the attention will definitely be very high!" Liu Yifei bit her lip slightly, thinking seriously about Lin Nan's words, her eyes shining with a hint of cunning.

"I'll take a call." Lin Nan picked up his phone with a smile, it was a call from the company's assistant.

"Speak."

"Lin Dao, the ticket has been booked, on the 29th..."

"Hmm, I know." After hanging up the phone, Lin Nan immediately snapped his fingers at Liu Yifei: "Notify Changchang, we will set off on the morning of the 29th to visit Han Jia's set."

"Good, immediately."

In the afternoon, Jiaxing's news came from behind and squeezed into the trending search.

Just because they will hold a second round of financing celebration dinner tomorrow night, and will also officially announce the detailed situation of the second round of financing to the outside world.

And at the same time, the wind in the circle also blew up — Jiaxing Media got a huge amount of cash!

China Film.

La Peikang looked at the news on the internet, and he was quite emotional for a while.

The development of current private film and television companies is really fast, one by one saying financing is financing, saying listing is listing. China Film's right to speak has therefore become lower and lower, and its influence is getting weaker and weaker.

"Chairman La, the script for *The Mermaid 2* has started the process, and the Film Bureau said that it will pass censorship in at most half a month." After the secretary knocked on the door and entered, he immediately reported.

"Then what about the large-scale media conference for the film project? Have they set a date?"

"It's set, Director Stephen Chow chose the 20th of next month, and we will host it."

"Good, then announce the conference to the outside world after the script passes censorship, and keep it secret for a while during this period. Also, how is the screening arrangement for *Sky Hunter*?"

"According to the plan, it has been implemented. At least on the first day of public screening, it will be a high screening rate."

"It's good that it's implemented."

La Peikang nodded, and this felt a lot more at ease.

Frankly speaking, China Film's films failed one after another, especially the matter of *The Founding of an Army*... really made him a bit panicked.

So for this *Sky Hunter*, he was holding the mentality of a life-saving straw. After all, now is the outlet for mainstream films, there is no reason for China Film to fail again, and it should have bottomed out and rebounded!

Shanghai Film.

The secretary spent two and a half days to complete the task assigned by Ren Zhonglun, that is, to get the "shocking" background check data of someone, yes, it is shocking!

Look, Ren Zhonglun had already been looking at it with a dark face for ten minutes.

"Now, are all these top traffic stars like this?"

Ren Zhonglun asked coldly. He never cared about these "small roles" before, if it weren't for Lin Nan's reminder, he wouldn't have thought of looking at it...

And the result is really not knowing until looking, what kind of sewer creatures are these?

"Chairman Ren, I don't know about the specifics of others, but this one is indeed like this, because he is the hottest one. And those big companies are indeed indulgent to him to the extreme, after all, he is really able to make money.

Look at the business on him, this is already the treatment of super first-line. The companies behind him cannot let him have problems, and will never allow problems. Furthermore, those problems that have already occurred have all been settled with money or power... I suggest, let's not bother with these idle things?" The secretary chattered and said.

Ren Zhonglun crumpled the information in his hand into a ball and threw it into the trash can.

"I really have to thank Lin Nan for persuading me to give up *The Mermaid 2*. Okay, you go out too, this matter ends here." ===== CHAPTER 917 =====
