But Alpa Xaden was the one who instructed that she be brought down here.\" One of the guards said,\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Erik turned to stare at the guard, and the guard began to tremble.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\"Do not speak back at me.\" He warned.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>The guards nodded quickly.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\"Open the cell.\" He ordered.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>They quickly did.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Erik didn’t need to go far.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>He saw her leaning against the wall.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\"Open the main cell.\"\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>And one of the men did.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\"Missus, you will be taken to the servant’s quarters.\" The guard said, but she didn’t move.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>There was silence.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>She just lay there.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>The guard became impatient and kicked at her. \"Hey, get up! No one is going to carry you up, princess!\"\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>But she still didn’t move.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>The guard prodded here again, and Erik flared.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\"What the hell is wrong with you? Stop that, you idiot!\" He snapped.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Then, he went into the primary cell.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\"Be careful; she might just be deceiving us.\" The guard warned.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Erik ignored him and checked on her.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>She wasn’t conscious.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>He touched her hand and felt her pulse. It was almost gone.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\"She isn’t conscious.\" He said this as he lifted her into his arms.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\"Did anyone get in here?!\" He demanded it quickly.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>The guards began to sweat in fear.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Then his eyes caught something.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>It was a piece of bread.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>And he knew instantly that she had been poisoned.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>\"Quick! Get the healer!\" He ordered the guards as he ran ahead.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Her tiny body was cold and limp in his arms.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Goddess!\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Why was she a latent wolf?
