Chapter 11: Earth Fire Crisis
"Roar..." A dragon's roar shook the heavens.
Mengchen unleashed the Supreme Technique of his left arm bone, the Eightfold Heavenly Dragons.
It instantly shattered the surrounding Earth Fire, and eight Runes of Heavenly Dragons—red, orange, yellow, green, cyan, blue, violet, and gold—swept away all the killing intent.
"What a powerful precious technique!"
The group of Primordial Remnants was shocked; it had easily neutralized all their attacks.
"Let's attack together and seize his precious technique," the Black Tiger said.
"This youth has a significant background; if we kill him, it will bring great disaster upon our tribes!" a Primordial Remnant said in a deep voice.
It was a Heavenly Ox, which suddenly recalled Mengchen's identity and immediately felt an urge to retreat.
Its words awakened many of the Primordial Remnants, and for a time, they split into two factions.
The Heavenly Ox's faction decided to stop and chose to remain neutral.
Meanwhile, the other faction, led by the Black Tiger, was determined to kill Mengchen to seize the precious technique and had already begun to act, preparing to launch a thunderous strike.
Over there, Mengchen stood with his head held high, having noticed the division among them.
"You have chosen the wider path; I, this humble monk, am magnanimous, so I will not hold your previous attacks against you!" Mengchen said to the group of Primordial Remnants led by the Heavenly Ox who had ceased their attack.
Afterward, he looked toward the Black Tiger and the other Primordial Remnants and began to speak coldly: "As for you, since you want to walk the road to hell, then those who should be killed will be killed, and those who should be ridden will be ridden."
"What boastful words! You do not know the height of Heaven or the depth of the Earth."
Hearing this, the Heavenly Ox creature sneered to itself. It knew the strength of the Black Tiger and the other Primordial Remnants better than anyone; they were not so easily dealt with.
In an instant, the Black Tiger and the other remnants were enraged again by Mengchen's words and lunged forward together, rays of light shining as their precious techniques surged forth with astonishing momentum.
For a time, the clash between the group of Primordial Remnants and Mengchen in the ruins was awe-inspiring.
After a series of exchanges and struggles, four Primordial Remnants had already been beaten until they were covered in blood.
"How can this bald human be so powerful!"
At this moment, the Heavenly Ox creature began to believe that what Mengchen had said earlier was no empty boast; this bald human truly had the strength.
The group of Primordial Remnants standing on the sidelines watching also exclaimed, glad they had made the right choice and had not continued to be his enemy.
In the ensuing battle, Mengchen's fists moved with wide, sweeping motions, his fighting spirit unparalleled.
"Damn it, how can this bald man be so strong?" Seeing that their combined attacks were yielding no advantage, the Black Tiger was heartbroken and furious.
Its mouth was bleeding, and one of its tiger eyes was swollen and bulging.
Clearly, in the fighting between them, it had collided with Mengchen's fists more than once.
Other Primordial Remnants had also suffered varying degrees of serious injury.
Some had broken limbs, some had sunken ribs, and some had their fine teeth knocked out... the miserable state was fully displayed.
"You are in luck. Recently, this humble monk accidentally obtained a supreme divine art, so I shall perform it for you to watch."
As soon as the words fell, Mengchen moved his hands and feet slightly, and a sacred seal began to take shape.
At the same time, as the seal rotated, his entire body reflected a brilliant, precious light, exceptionally dazzling, like a Golden Body.
This was the Sanfo Bashi!
"Boom—!"
Just as the first seal manifested, suddenly, a sound like a mountain flood erupted, the ground of the ruins began to crack rapidly, and endless Earth Fire gushed out from the ground.
"The situation has changed, run!" Seeing the Earth Fire churning and fearing the place was about to become a sea of fire, the Heavenly Ox creature roared and began to flee at high speed.
The Black Tiger and the other Primordial Remnants who had been fighting Mengchen also fled at the first opportunity.
Seeing this, Mengchen also hurriedly ran toward the outside of the ruins.
Outside the ruins, from all directions, tens of thousands of creatures were fleeing back from the ruins, their faces pale and devoid of color; among them were powerful lions, terrifying flood dragons, and many human geniuses.
As they successfully escaped, looking at the ruins that were about to become a sea of fire, each felt fortunate that they had not ventured too deep, otherwise they feared they would have turned into a pile of charcoal, becoming a part of the ruins.
"Not good, the fire is growing larger, everyone speed up and rush out." The Earth Fire churned and surged, nearly covering every inch of the ruins; the Heavenly Ox creature roared in alarm, and several Primordial Remnants in its group were burned to charcoal on the spot after coming into contact with the Earth Fire.
"Awoo—" The Black Tiger creature roared, its body emitting a black glow, stepping on a string of precious bones as it fled at high speed.
Mengchen, the Heavenly Ox, and the other Primordial Remnants traveling with the Black Tiger were all dumbfounded at the sight. It had actually kept such a trump card.
In an instant, the Black Tiger rushed out of the ruins.
It turned to look back, and the string of precious bones was sacrificed once again, the rays of light blazing and illuminating the ruins.
Afterward, under the Black Tiger's manipulation, the string of precious bones emitted hundreds and thousands of rays of light, slashing toward the depths of the ruins.
The light attacks descended like a torrential downpour, and Mengchen, the Heavenly Ox, and the other Primordial Remnants scattered to dodge.
Mengchen's eyes were wide open; at this moment, while dodging the light attacks, he also had to be careful of the churning Earth Fire, facing danger at every turn.
"Black Tiger! You have gone too far. When we get out, we will surely join forces to kill you." The Heavenly Ox and the other Primordial Remnants were furious.
They had not expected it to commit such a ruthless act, wanting to kill them all here.
"We were blind to follow you." The remnants who had previously followed the Black Tiger's lead also saw its true face and regretted their actions.
"Ah... No..."
"Pfft."
Fire splashed, and a giant over ten meters tall accidentally touched the Earth Fire while dodging, turning into a piece of charcoal with no life left.
"Pfft, pfft, pfft..."
Subsequently, a group of Primordial Remnants were successively touched by the Earth Fire, turning into charcoal and lying forever in the ruins.
Seeing this, Mengchen felt sympathy, but at the same time, he made up his mind that no matter what, once he got out, he would definitely kill that Black Tiger to vent the hatred in his heart.
The previous sneak attack and the current act of kicking them while they were down were all intended to put him to death.
In the ruins, flames soared to the sky, and Mengchen, the Heavenly Ox, and the few remaining remnants were still struggling to survive.
But suddenly, from deep underground, a pillar of magma shot into the sky, like a magma tornado, capable of destroying all things; nothing could stop it.
"This is a great crisis, run!" the Heavenly Ox roared.
The crowd's bodies shone with brilliant light as they pushed their speed to the absolute limit.
Just as Mengchen was also sprinting at his limit, a suction force enveloped him from behind, impossible to resist.
Enveloped by the suction force, no matter how he struggled, he could not shake it off.
The next instant, he made the shocking discovery that the group of Primordial Remnants, including the Heavenly Ox, were getting further and further away from him.
"How can this be? Are they truly unaffected?" This startling discovery left Mengchen speechless.
Could it be that this suction force was targeting only him? Was Heaven jealous of his talent?
Heaven is unfair! Mengchen's expression began to show panic, though his large eyes remained bright; facing this tribulation, he did not know what to do.
The Heavenly Ox and the other Primordial Remnants, who were about to leave the ruins, looked back suddenly and discovered that the bald human who had been keeping pace with them was gone.
"It is a pity for such a talented youth," the Heavenly Ox sighed.
Then, filled with indignation, he said, "Everyone, let us go out and join forces to slay the Black Tiger; this villain must not be left alive."
"We have the same intention!" the Primordial Remnants replied in unison.
Soon, they rushed out of the fiery ruins and, aiming at the Black Tiger, engaged in a fierce battle; precious light erupted and Runes filled the sky, causing all unrelated creatures in the area to quickly retreat.
"What are you doing?" the Black Tiger asked, facing the Heavenly Ox and the other creatures.
"We have nothing to say to you, die!" The Heavenly Ox and the group of Primordial Remnants were unwilling to waste their breath and unleashed all their precious arts.
It had to be said that the Black Tiger's strength was not weak; facing the siege of many Primordial Remnants, he was able to trade blows back and forth.
For a time, both sides were locked in a fierce battle.
Inside the ruins, Earth Domain fire churned around Mengchen, yet his body could not move an inch; the terrifying high temperature had already left him drenched in sweat.
His monk's robe was exceptionally scorching, likely on the verge of catching fire.
"I have heard of roast suckling pig, but am I to witness a roast suckling human today?"
Mengchen was impatient, yet he had no way to respond and felt very anxious.
