Chapter 213: The Bait Has Been Cast

"Report to Division Commander Guo!"

"The 62nd Division, 1st Infantry Company, has 150 men, at full strength!"

"Among them are 4 light machine guns!"

"Company Commander Zhang Zhicheng, report finished!"

Hearing this, Guo Xunqi frowned slightly: "What about the other infantry company?"

Zhang Zhicheng grinned and said: "Division Commander Guo!"

"The 2nd Infantry Company is located in the northern part of the city."

Yesterday!

Yu Hua nodded, then looked at Guo Xunqi.

Regarding this, Guo Xunqi refused!

In the eyes of the common people, Zhao Gongming's Police Force and Security Regiment were also a decent troop.

From the other person, Zhao Gongming sensed an aura of martial prowess; he guessed that the other person must be someone who had long held a high position.

Guo Xunqi looked at Zhang Zhicheng, "Go find Li Chao."

He straightened his uniform, then arrived at the entrance of the Police Department.

Upon hearing that the other person was a Lieutenant General Division Commander, Zhao Gongming's expression changed.

"These two infantry companies of the 62nd Division, as well as Zhao Gongming's troops, are still a force with a good reputation."

See what the reaction of this group of people is!

Yu Hua walked out, "I am a Staff Officer of the 2nd Route Army of the Sichuan Army!"

"I am just a small Captain."

Immediately, Zhao Gongming began to introduce the situation of the Security Regiment and the Police Force to Guo Xunqi.

Zhao Gongming soon received a report from his subordinates.

Seeing Adjutant Yu speak, Wang Dadan immediately shut his mouth and stood to the side.

Seeing the aggressive Sichuan Army, the guards were already scared silly.

Guo Xunqi grinned and said: "I didn't expect this!"

Zhao Gongming patted his chest and said: "Division Commander Guo!"

After speaking briefly, Guo Xunqi prepared to leave.

"Adjutant Yu, please!"

Zhao Gongming sized up Yu Hua, seeing that this person was so young.

At the entrance of the Police Department.

However, regarding the Police Force and Security Regiment of Jinshan County.

"This also exceeded my expectations."

"The bait has already been cast!" Yu Hua smiled slightly, "It just depends on whether the fish will take the hook."

After leaving the Police Force, Yu Hua and Guo Xunqi moved into a large courtyard.

Guo Xunqi nodded gently, then spoke briefly about the Sichuan Army taking over Jinshan County.

Zhao Gongming hurriedly saluted Guo Xunqi: "Greetings, Division Commander Guo."

This was the first time he had encountered such fierce soldiers.

"I am the Police Chief of Jinshan County, and also the Security Regiment Commander... Zhao Gongming!"

A team of fierce Sichuan Army soldiers arrived outside.

Guo Xunqi also told Li Chao, Zhao Gongming, and Zhang Zhicheng about the mission of the Seventh War Zone.

"Tell him to come to the county's Police Department; I will see him there."

"May I ask who the commanding officer of the Sichuan Army is?"

For this group of Sichuan Army soldiers to be so arrogant, someone must have instructed them.

"Yes!" Zhang Zhicheng saluted.

At dinner time in the evening.

After Zhao Gongming finished introducing the situation of the Police Force and Security Regiment.

In the courtyard!

Wang Dadan began to report the situation in the city to Guo Xunqi and Yu Hua.

Regarding this, Yu Hua expressed his emotion, "Indeed!"

"Will the little Japanese devils take the bait?"

Zhao Gongming stepped forward, his sharp gaze sweeping over the members of the Sichuan Army.

Moreover, the troops were all at full strength, and the weaponry matched what Zhao Gongming had said.

"Hurry and let us in; we of the Sichuan Army have urgent business and need to find your Security Regiment Commander."

The 62nd Division 2nd Infantry Company, Company Commander Li Chao, also arrived at the Police Department.

They hurriedly shouted: "Stop!"

Regarding this, Guo Xunqi waved his hand and said: "Fine!"

This scene was also captured by Zhao Gongming, and he was startled inwardly.

"Stop shouting!"

Zhao Gongming then stood out and said he wanted to host a welcome banquet for Guo Xunqi and Adjutant Yu.

He did not expect that a Division Commander of the Sichuan Army would personally come to Jinshan County.

"From now on, my troops will be under your command."

And they are all at full strength, with a total of five machine guns: four light machine guns and one heavy machine gun.

"The Regimental Commander is here!"

Wang Dadan stepped out and shouted loudly: "Who goes there?"

After Guo Xunqi set off, Yu Hua followed, and the rest of the Sichuan Army troops, a platoon, entered.

Now is a time of combat readiness; everything must prioritize the battle, so the welcoming banquet can be skipped.

"The Police Force and the Security Force are now both under the management of Zhao Gongming of the Security Regiment in the county."

The doorway is not the place to discuss matters; Zhao Gongming made a gesture of invitation.

They arrived in the office hall.

"I received the order from above long ago."

Violators will be shot on the spot!

Li Chao, Zhang Zhicheng, and Zhao Gongming all expressed that they would certainly do their utmost to intercept the Japanese devils.

That is to consolidate the outer defenses of Jinling and block the Japanese devils from outflanking along the Taihu Region.

"My surname is Yu!"

Major to Major, Yu Hua stepped out and looked at Zhao Gongming.

Only then did Yu Hua introduce Guo Xunqi's identity to Zhao Gongming.

"Who are you people?"

For Zhang Zhicheng, this was indeed somewhat difficult.

Guo Xunqi and Yu Hua, leading the Sichuan Army troops, quickly moved to kill toward the county Police Department.

The Police Force and the Security Regiment of Jinshan County also learned that a Division Commander from the Sichuan Army had arrived.

He also reported the situation of the 2nd Company to Guo Xunqi.

Just as Yu Hua and Guo Xunqi were discussing.

Zhao Gongming also received the order from above that the Sichuan Army 23rd Group Army was about to take over Jinshan County.

Upon hearing this, Zhang Zhicheng lowered his head: "Division Commander Guo!"

"Let us discuss the details inside!"

He now suspects how many people inside here are actually Traitors.

"I am your Sichuan Army grandfather!"

After listening to Wang Dadan's report.

Upon hearing this, Yu Hua grinned and said: "Dadan!"

There is no other way!

The troops of the 62nd Division remaining in Jinshan County are too few, and furthermore, the officers' ranks are not high.

The two sentries on guard saw a large number of soldiers arriving.

It seems the leader of the Sichuan Army is still this middle-aged man before them.

Before clarifying the situation, Yu Hua would not give the people of the Security Regiment and the Police Force a pleasant look.

Last time, the people from the 62nd Division were very polite when they came to the Police Department.

"I will obey your orders one hundred percent!"

He would first cause a scene at the Police Department today, and then conduct an investigation.

"Jinshan County is now under the takeover of my Sichuan Army."

"Rest assured!"

Looking at Yu Hua, Guo Xunqi took a sip of warm tea, "Brother Yu, we have performed this play you arranged today."

"This Zhao Gongming's rank is higher than mine; he is a Major."

This was rented by Yu Hua with silver dollars.

In this situation, Guo Xunqi also sighed helplessly.

He hopes all the soldiers in Jinshan County will defend the land and resist the war, and not retreat without orders.

The Jinshan County Police Force has two hundred men, and the Security Regiment has six hundred men.

Moreover, it was said that Jinshan County had already been taken over by the Sichuan Army.

Seeing Zhao Gongming's series of emotional changes, Yu Hua also knew that Zhao Gongming was feeling unhappy inside.

After the guards saw Zhao Gongming arrive, they also shouted loudly: "The Regimental Commander is here."

"I have no authority to inquire."

"The military rank is Major!"

It seems that if one wants to understand the armed situation in Jinshan County, one still has to make contact with Zhao Gongming.

"Since that is the case, are you familiar with the Police Force and the Security Regiment in the city?"

The 2nd Infantry Company has a full strength of 140 men and four light machine guns.

"The Company Commander is Li Chao; as for the situation of the 2nd Company, I am not very familiar with it."

He was also secretly shocked in his heart: could this be someone with connections?

Or perhaps a gilded young master?

To have reached the rank of Major at such a young age.

"Zhao Gongming resides permanently at the county Police Department."

First, the two infantry companies of the 62nd Division are both at full strength, and their Weaponry is the same as what the two Company Commanders said.

The chaotic scene at the entrance of the Police Department also attracted the attention of the people inside the Police Department.

Even some of the common people in the city heard from others that a high-ranking official at the Division Commander level had arrived in the county.

He is now staying in a large residence within the Seven Great Hutongs of the county town.
