Chapter 359: Collecting Funds

After finishing the phone call!

Staff Officer Xiao then headed rapidly toward the training ground.

Now that the people from the Military Statistics Bureau have arrived, he must find the Group Army Commander as soon as possible to discuss how to respond.

Leaving the Group Army Headquarters.

Staff Officer Xiao shouted, "Prepare the horses immediately!"

Several soldiers quickly prepared horses for Staff Officer Xiao.

Staff Officer Xiao gripped the horse's flanks, gave the horse a light pat, and then headed toward the training ground.

"This is our Group Army's final funds."

"What is going on?"

Many people at the scene heard that a company from the Military Statistics Bureau had arrived.

At the same time, it was also the source of the Third Group Army's military pay.

Staff Officer Xiao shouted while running.

"This money!"

Sun Dezhong was getting a bit angry!

The sun was so big and the temperature so high this day.

"The Guard Regiment directly under the Group Army must also be arranged for me."

"There is an urgent matter now; I need to find the Commander and the General-in-Chief."

"I ask the three officers to prepare well."

"Isn't this cutting off our Lu Army's military pay!"

Following closely!

Upon hearing this!

He was sweating profusely from the heat; this group of Lu Army soldiers had lost their commander, Han Fuqu.

Saying this, Sun Dezhong pulled a pistol from his own bosom.

Just as he was about to walk out the door, Sun Dezhong turned back again.

Galloping all the way, Staff Officer Xiao arrived at the training ground.

He looked at the guard soldiers and said coldly, "Sigh!"

"Three days from now, when I come to collect the assets, I hope not a single one of these assets will be missing."

"I have come this time under the orders of the Supreme Command Headquarters."

After Sun Dezhong led his men to the Third Group Army Headquarters.

"Commander!"

"The guard soldiers at the gate said several trucks have arrived."

Seeing the changes in the expressions of the three, Sun Dezhong smiled slightly: "Right!"

After finding the person in charge of the training ground, Staff Officer Xiao inquired.

At this moment!

Cao Fulin said coldly: "This Nanjing Command really knows how to play."

"Good... take me there immediately."

"According to our Military Statistics Bureau's investigation, Han Fuqu's assets, property deeds, and so on."

"Where are the Commanders?"

"Now, under orders, we are letting you of the Military Statistics Bureau enter the city."

Saying with a smile: "Oh!"

He did not care at all that the Third Group Army was reporting to the War Zone Command.

After finishing, this Sun Dezhong was about to leave.

Sun Tongxuan asked.

"Coming to collect Han Fuqu's assets, as well as property deeds."

"Running all the way here to act wildly!"

At this time, Staff Officer Xiao arrived at the city gate and looked coldly at Sun Dezhong and the others.

"The Supreme Command Headquarters only gave me five days."

Everyone's complexion also had subtle changes!

"Regarding you of the Military Statistics Bureau causing trouble here, I will report it truthfully to the War Zone Command."

"What exactly does this company from the Military Statistics Bureau want to do by coming here?"

Sun Tongxuan said.

"Possessing the power of life and death!"

There were an abnormally large number of them!

Yu Xuezhong looked at Sun Tongxuan: "Old Sun."

"Worth approximately 200,000 silver dollars!"

Gold and silver—these funds were the capital Han Fuqu had scraped together after managing Shandong Province for many years.

Yu Xuezhong, Cao Fulin, and Sun Tongxuan heard Staff Officer Xiao's shouting.

"Commander... General-in-Chief."

"I am now giving the three officers three days."

The people from the Military Statistics Bureau had entered the city.

"Among them, 5,000 taels of gold and 30,000 taels of silver."

"Military Statistics Bureau..."

"First they executed Marshal Han, and now they come to demand the Marshal's assets."

Suddenly!

Both sides stood in a standoff with guns drawn; the Military Statistics Bureau agents and the Lu Army guards had both reached for their weapons.

Everyone also turned their gaze toward Staff Officer Xiao.

"I am a Staff Officer of the Third Group Army Headquarters."

"Damn it!" Sun Dezhong roared: "I am from the Military Statistics Bureau."

Han Fuqu had just been executed, and now the Supreme Command Headquarters was already targeting old Han's assets.

"When he withdrew from Jizhou, he swept away all the assets of the Fujian Province Bank in Shandong Province."

Sun Dezhong gave the three men a perfunctory salute.

As far as Sun Dezhong was concerned, the current Third Group Army.

Boss Dai would certainly help him when the time came.

Sun Tongxuan and the other two also did not have pleasant expressions.

And at the city gate!

The person leading the Military Statistics Bureau team this time was named Sun Dezhong.

"Three officers, I must remind you."

"How is your Group Army Headquarters running things?"

After Sun Dezhong finished speaking, he took his men and walked out of the headquarters.

"What do you think of this matter?"

He, from the Military Statistics Bureau, had come to the Third Group Army to conduct business.

He then went to see Sun Tongxuan, Cao Fulin, and Yu Xuezhong.

Today!

Now everyone understood.

"So flustered?"

"Hurry up and move aside for me; I have important military business."

Then he spoke: "Two Commanders, Commander-in-Chief."

"So much time has already passed."

After all!

"These items are now all state property; I hope the three officers will keep them safe."

"With the Military Statistics Bureau bringing so many people, will they try to take action against some of our Group Army officers?"

"The Commander and the Commander-in-Chief are currently at the artillery training ground."

No wonder the Military Statistics Bureau people brought so many trucks; it turned out it was to transport the assets.

The number of people the Military Statistics Bureau brought was truly too large for the Third Group Army.

The guards at the gate did not yield at all, "Sorry."

At the headquarters!

That was to give the Lu Army a taste of their power.

"Brothers, put your gear away and follow me into the city."

"Yes!"

"You still won't let us pass?"

"This number of people, it's probably about a company."

After all!

"If you block us again, damn it, watch out or I'll gun you all down."

"We must figure out how to keep the Nanjing Command from taking this money away."

"Three officers, you should weigh this carefully yourselves."

At this moment!

The Lu Army artillerymen, along with Yu Xuezhong and others, were applauding.

"At the same time, our Group Army must now be relaxed on the outside but tense on the inside; tell the brothers to be careful."

"What great airs."

Upon hearing this!

In this day and age!

Once a troop has no source of funding, it is completely finished.

"Commander... the Military Statistics Bureau people are here."

"Three days from now, I want to see the assets, otherwise... the consequences."

Staff Officer Xiao, led by Li Ming, quickly arrived at the artillery training ground.

Sun Tongxuan's brow was tightly furrowed!

"Let's go take a look first."

"We absolutely must not hand it over to the Nanjing Command."

Now the Nanjing Command was eyeing this money, which was meant to cut off the Third Group Army's finances.

The many high-ranking generals of the Third Group Army all left the training ground.

Still so jumpy now; it seems he hasn't tasted the iron fist yet.

Sun Dezhong gave a cold snort: "As you please!"

Fallen soldiers need pension payments, and the troops need money for recruitment and replacing Weaponry.

"Now is not the time to talk about this."

"Before receiving a call from the Group Army Headquarters, we cannot let them pass."

"This Sun Dezhong, with that arrogant tone of his, I f*cking want to slap him twice."

Yu Xuezhong looked at Cao Fulin, "Alright, Old Cao!"

"The Third Group Army is the nation's army, not a private armed force; I ask the three officers to hand over the assets immediately."

"Staff Officer Xiao!"

That is just a lamb waiting to be slaughtered, and furthermore, it was personally authorized by Boss Dai.

Now that Shandong Province is about to fall, Sun Tongxuan and the others also intend to use this money as the final operating funds for the Third Group Army.

"We have no territory now; if we have no money, the three of us will soon become commanders of empty regiments."

"The Lu Army will become abandoned pawns!"
