Chapter 85: New Spirit and New Look

Inside the ranks!

Wang Zhangsheng was also among them.

The remaining soldiers of the Fifth Company stood to the side watching.

Everyone looked at the Acting Company Commander holding the brand-new rifle, and many of them had eyes shining with excitement.

"This rifle is really nice!"

"If only I could get my hands on this rifle."

Wang Zhangsheng looked at the rifle in Yu Hua's hands, his eyes shining.

Chen Qian nodded, "Alright, I will check again."

"Heh... just you... don't even think about it."

Chen, the Deputy Division Commander, spoke up from the side: "Yang Biao also served on the Songhu Battlefield."

"You take this rifle and fall into formation now."

"However, this German-made Rifle is the latest rifle developed by Germany, much better than the Zhongzheng."

"Greetings, Army Commander Yang!"

From the outside, this also looked like a good unit capable of combat.

"Army Commander Yang has praised this man Yu Hua, and the 19th Group Army Commander Xue Laohu is also fond of him."

One by one, they trained very diligently.

After receiving the 98K Rifle, Wang Zhangsheng smiled happily; he even attached the Optical Sight to it.

"The Company Commander of the Fifth Company of the Jin Jizhong Regiment... was appointed by Marshal Liu's Adjutant, and his name is Zhang Kang."

"Yu Hua was also appointed by the Marshal's Adjutant; I reckon the two of them were in the same company before."

"I will certainly arrange it!"

"Once you are on the battlefield, if the rifle develops a problem and you don't know how to handle it."

Chen, the Deputy Division Commander, didn't even think before saying: "There are none left!"

"You can delegate authority to Yu Hua and let him train the troops well; the suggestions he puts forward are excellent."

"Your marksmanship is terrible; such a good rifle is a waste in your hands."

Marshal Liu, for the sake of the 122nd Division leaving Chuan, rushed to the front lines with combat experience against the enemy.

"Hmm!" Yang Sen nodded with satisfaction, "By the way!"

Therefore, under Yu Hua's encouragement, the Fifth Company already had a new spirit and a new look.

"He is an Acting Company Commander?" Wang Zhizhong looked at Chen Qian: "Then what about the Company Commander of the Fifth Company of the Jin Jizhong Regiment?"

"Are there any vacant Company Commander positions left in our Division?"

Upon hearing this, Wang Zhizhong's eyes shone!

What is his 122nd Division lacking right now?

Of course, it is talent that has come down from the Songhu Battlefield.

Holding the 98K Rifle in his hand, Yu Hua let Wang Zhangsheng come up to try it out.

The 122nd Division recruited a batch of new soldiers, all of whom had never been on a battlefield.

"He has always wanted to go to the grassroots level to lead troops; you should make arrangements for him."

Wang Zhizhong patted his chest and said: "Army Commander Yang, don't you worry."

"This rifle is called the 98K, 1.11 meters long, and weighs 4.1 kilograms."

"Zhangsheng, how is it!"

"Even Principal Chang in Jinling is very attentive to this Yu Hua."

"Yes!" Chen Qian replied, and he left the Division Headquarters.

"Now line up, and come up one by one to collect your rifles."

Yu Hua did not stop them from discussing it.

He did not expect Yu Hua to be assigned to his Division; he must make good use of such talent.

"I love it so much!"

"Lao Chen, you go check again and see if there are any vacancies left."

"Since your Division is leaving Chuan, you can ask him for advice more often."

Hearing this, Yu Hua nodded, "As long as you like it."

"Marshal Liu held him back and arranged for him to go to your Division."

The Sniper Platoon all received 98K Rifles.

"Since he has come to our Division, we must let him fully utilize his talents."

Yu Hua looked at the Sniper Platoon and grinned: "This rifle."

When he first arrived at the Fifth Company, he had previously touched this rifle in the hands of Wei Dayong.

"Effective range is 500 meters, magazine capacity is five rounds."

After finishing, he was about to leave, but Wang Zhizhong called him back.

"You check for me too!"

"Acting Company Commander?" Wang Zhizhong frowned slightly.

Looking at his old comrade, Wang Zhizhong said: "Lao Chen, you take a look."

Wang Zhizhong smiled happily: "With such talent, I will definitely let him display his brilliance in the 122nd Division."

"Company Commander, this rifle is really nice!"

"Army Commander Yang, don't you worry, I will definitely make good use of Yu Hua."

"To think he actually sent his nephew to our Division!"

"Let Yu Hua train the Fifth Company for the time being!"

"He is a talent; you all know about the battle at Dunwu Temple."

Hearing this, Wang Zhizhong frowned.

The 98K, fitted with an Optical Sight, looked even more imposing.

About ten minutes later, Chen Qian returned to the Division headquarters.

Anyone who excels in training will not only get to eat meat but also receive new Weaponry.

Wang Zhangsheng fell in love with it the moment he touched it; now he could finally possess one himself.

"A rifle is a soldier's lifeline. You must take care of your rifles just as you take care of your own lives."

He never expected that this Yu Hua would actually end up in the Jin Jizhong Regiment.

"Although he hasn't fought on the front lines, for our Division..."

Looking at the excited Wang Zhangsheng, Yu Hua asked with a grin.

Division Commander Wang Zhizhong received a call from Yang of the Sichuan Army 20th Army.

122nd Division, Division headquarters!

The Jin Jizhong Regiment, within the 122nd Division, did not have very good combat effectiveness, and its Weaponry was also average.

"His injuries are almost healed; in a few days, he will be able to take over as Company Commander of the Fifth Company of the Jin Jizhong Regiment."

"The newcomer, Yu Hua, has been assigned to our Division. Where is he now?"

"He is the one who fought that battle, and furthermore, the recent counterattack on the Songhu Battlefield."

"Sigh!" Wang Zhizhong let out a long sigh, "I don't know what is going on with Army Commander Yang?"

In the days that followed, the Fifth Company was like it had been injected with chicken blood.

Pausing, Yu Hua looked at the remaining men of the Sniper Platoon.

"Rifles must be maintained frequently, oiled often, and you must know how to repair firearms and how to disassemble a rifle."

"Yu Hua is currently acting as Company Commander of the Jin Jizhong Fifth Company and is training the troops."

Yang said loudly: "Division Commander Wang, after my nephew, Yang Biao, returns to Sichuan Province."

"The Company Commander will only reward the soldier with the best marksmanship!"

Added to the original Old Soldiers, these troops had never had contact with the Japanese.

"I heard from the Songhu Old Soldiers around the Company Commander that this rifle is even better than our Zhongzheng Rifle."

"Army Commander Yang said his nephew wants to lead troops, so if there is an opening, arrange it for him."

"Then that would be troublesome; the firearms in their hands would become nothing more than fire pokers."

Afterwards, Yang and Wang Zhizhong chatted for a few sentences before hanging up the phone.

Within the ranks, the Sichuan Army soldiers were discussing it heatedly.

"He can be considered a talent!"

"Coming from Germany, a genuine German-made Rifle."

"He is also someone who understands the Japanese way of fighting."

"Yu Hua, the best Company Commander under my command, has now been assigned to your Division."

"Such a good rifle; the Company Commander spent a great price back home to specially procure it from abroad."

He specifically had his Adjutant assign the officers coming down from Songhu to front-line units.

One might ask?

Wang Zhizhong said with a chuckle.

"In our troops, the positions for Company Commander have long been decided!"

"The Guangxi Army 21st Group Army caught the little Japanese off guard."

Which man could withstand such a test?

Yu Hua walked and chatted at the same time.

"After Principal adopted the suggestions proposed by Yu Hua, the results were excellent."

"This person is a Company Commander from the Xiang Wenbin Regiment of the 133rd Division; after being wounded on the Songhu Battlefield, he returned to Sichuan Province."

Brand new rifles, just like a new bride, how could they not stir everyone's heart!

This rifle is very good!

"Our Zhongzheng Rifle is also modeled after the German-made Rifle."

Let them train the grassroots soldiers to increase the combat effectiveness of the troops before leaving Chuan.
