Chapter 437: Planner?

"It is precisely because I have the sincerity to cooperate that I am being straightforward with you." Xu Tian was not in a hurry and continued at his own pace: "Although Nie Jingjing and Murong Xue are not actors, they have high popularity, enough to make your platform gain popularity. And Nie Jingjing has already shot a short video once before. Although it can't be said that she has superb acting skills, at least she didn't hold back."

"As for Murong Xue, although she is also a singer, she previously appeared in Han Zhizuo's musical. Han Zhizuo is famous in the industry for his high requirements. If her acting skills were really very poor, Han Zhizuo couldn't have chosen her as the female lead, right?"

"That's how it's said, but..." Manager Song obviously still did not favor the combination of Nie Jingjing and Murong Xue.

After all, Lemon Short Video had already shot a double female lead. If they shot again, it would be easy for the outside world to say they were following the trend. If the effect was not good, they would also be stepped on by Lemon Short Video.

"Manager Song, can't the main characters be decided yet?" Just at this time, background sound came from the other end of the phone: "If it still can't be decided, our new project will probably have to be postponed!"

Manager Song covered the phone and asked: "What about the few candidate actors I gave you before?"

"I contacted everyone I could contact. Some don't have the schedule, and some, even if they have the schedule, their appearance really doesn't fit our positioning..."

"Is there not a single one that fits?"

"There is..." The staff member stammered: "But the popularity is not high, and the Weibo followers are only tens of thousands..."

Manager Song:...

"Manager Song, because we already sent out the trailer to fight against Lemon Short Video before, if the short drama is left blank, it will definitely cause dissatisfaction from investors. No matter what today, we must finalize the candidates and can't delay any longer!"

Manager Song frowned and finally said to the staff member: "I know."

Then he discussed with Xu Tian.

"Mr. Xu, I can agree to let Nie Jingjing and Murong Xue come over to shoot together, but they must arrive tomorrow morning. Do you have any problems with that?"

Xu Tian replied: "No problem."

The development of things now was even smoother than he had expected.

He had originally worried that Apple Audio-Visual would not loosen up, but Manager Song's side should really have no suitable candidates and could only treat a dead horse as a living horse doctor.

Actually, Apple Audio-Visual and Lemon Short Video had always been mortal enemies. This short video project was also aimed at competing with the other side and fighting for traffic.

It was just that their originally scheduled girl group members suddenly went on strike before shooting, so they were forced to look for suitable candidates again.

But the time was too tight; any artist with some popularity could not possibly have the schedule.

As for those who had the schedule, Manager Song disliked them for not having popularity.

After picking and choosing, there was not a single suitable candidate.

Xu Tian knew the predicament Apple Audio-Visual was facing, which was why he took the initiative to contact Manager Song.

After ending the call with Manager Song, Xu Tian said to Nie Jingjing and Murong Xue.

"You have bookings. Go back and rest early today; I will come to pick you up tomorrow morning."

"Really? Got a booking?" Nie Jingjing's eyes lit up: "What is it? Fashion magazine, or luxury endorsement?"

Xu Tian: "Short video shooting."

"What? Why is it short video again?" Nie Jingjing was originally full of hope, but upon hearing it was a short video, she slumped back on the table again: "Are you planning to let us change careers to become internet celebrities?"

"It's a special period now; it's not bad to have bookings." Xu Tian knocked on her head: "And Apple Audio-Visual can be considered a large traffic short video website. The short dramas they produce are all very popular, and there are precedents of internet celebrities they groomed transforming into actors or singers."

"Times have changed. Don't think that internet celebrities are lower than artists in the entertainment industry. Their income from live streaming and bringing goods is not less than you taking an endorsement."

"But I..." Nie Jingjing still wanted to argue.

"What about you? Originally, this opportunity was something we picked up by leaking; the original candidate wasn't you."

"So I was still disliked?" Nie Jingjing was even more depressed.

"Brother Xu, do I have to go to shoot too?" At this time, Murong Xue asked.

"Hmm." Xu Tian nodded: "Double female lead."

"I have no problem." Murong Xue nodded very cooperatively. If they terminated their contracts from Qingguo Music, they would definitely be banned by the uncle-nephew pair Guo Zhihao and Guo Qishan. Being able to have work so quickly was already very rare.

"You don't need to have any psychological burden; just shoot normally."

Xu Tian sized up Murong Xue and Nie Jingjing.

It had to be said that the two of them represented the two different types of popular female artists in the entertainment industry today.

One was a gentle, kind, and harmless little white rabbit, and one was a wanton, arrogant, and imposing queen, which was also the most popular combination in CP settings.

Especially since Nie Jingjing had taught Song Jiamo a lesson to protect Murong Xue before, it had already attracted a batch of CP fans for the two of them.

With these two acting together, it would definitely achieve the effect he expected.

Of course, Xu Tian would not let them really hype a same-sex CP.

After all, the most important thing about CP is relying on fans to imagine.

If the company intervened or bought related hot searches and deliberately let the two perform an ambiguous feeling, it would instead backfire and cause fans' resentment.

"By the way, Xiao Xue, the talent show variety program I mentioned to Nie Jingjing before, you might also have to participate with her as a mentor later."

"This..." Murong Xue was obviously somewhat hesitant: "Can I do it?"

She had no objections to other bookings, but going to be a mentor, she wasn't qualified yet, right?

"If Nie Jingjing can do it, why can't you?" Before Xu Tian could answer, Yan Qingxue spoke first.

"What do you mean by 'if I can do it'?" Nie Jingjing protested: "No personal attacks!"

"Don't worry, you can do it." Xu Tian said with a smile: "And it's not letting you and Nie Jingjing comment on the contestants' strength and decide their stay or leave, but letting you each pick a few contestants to form a team and PK in the form of a team. I plan to form four teams from the list that passed the auditions. Currently, besides you, I have to invite two more popular singers. As for expert judges, I will invite professional music critics."

"So that's how it is." Murong Xue nodded understandingly. Actually, although they were called judges, in reality, they were just team leaders leading contestants to compete.

"What... I thought Mr. Xu finally affirmed my singing strength." Nie Jingjing was somewhat disappointed.

Xu Tian:...

You really have no count of your own singing skills at all.

"This talent show variety program is a brand-new model, and the planner's concept is also very novel. I believe it will definitely reignite the trend of talent shows."

"Planner?" Murong Xue asked in surprise: "This variety program wasn't planned by you?" ===== CHAPTER 438 =====
