Chapter 295

~37 min read 7,217 words

This "Master" was called without sincerity or truth.

Because the transaction is equal.

There are visible transactions, and there are invisible ones. The former is clearly marked, and the latter is about human feelings.

Li Zhuiyuan's original attitude was that no matter which transaction method, he could accept it.

No way, who told him to be relatively weak now, and there was not much room for maneuver in the cracks.

Even if he finally only exchanged for "human feelings" with the Great Emperor, Li Zhuiyuan didn't feel he lost, at least he could get room for imagination. As long as he didn't cash it out, the valuation was still there.

The one who broke this tacit understanding first was actually the Great Emperor.

Yesterday at the door of the guesthouse room, Li Zhuiyuan heard the conversation between the two inside. The Great Emperor's last sentence acknowledged that Li Zhuiyuan was his—direct disciple.

In the entire Jianghu, probably few people could withstand such affirmation, and infinite emotion and pride would inevitably rise in their hearts.

However, Li Zhuiyuan was an exception.

Because besides emotional value, the boy had channels to obtain actual value.

As one of the only two people in the world who mastered the Twelve Dharma Decrees of Fengdu, Li Zhuiyuan had the ability to secretly rub against the Fengdu Great Emperor.

And getting the Great Emperor's personal acknowledgment was equivalent to obtaining a justified legal status, and Li Zhuiyuan would therefore obtain higher authority.

Therefore, after "eavesdropping" on the conversation at the door, Li Zhuiyuan immediately returned to his room, not hesitating to risk the danger of backlash, wrapped the red thread from his right hand to his left hand, and performed a deduction on the causal entanglement behind him in the mirror.

However, the result of the deduction was that the Great Emperor phantom behind him... had no changes.

This means that the Emperor's remark about a "direct disciple" was truly just talk, meant for you to listen to for amusement and a bit of joy.

The Great Emperor... drew a cake for himself.

Li Zhuiyuan chose... to eat it!

Since you gave me a "direct disciple" title without any actual value first, then I'll take it seriously.

Our sect's foundation, I should move it, I should rake it, anyway, I also return you a "Master."

After Li Zhuiyuan shouted "Master," he never got a response from the Great Emperor in his ears.

No response is needed anymore. At the stage of both sides laying out chips, just take things out. No matter how many words and so-called emotional cards, it is "heavy," but it doesn't weigh the scale.

Zhao Yi is "dead" now, so he didn't witness all this, otherwise he would really cheer excitedly.

Relatively speaking, sacrificing the dog lazy things to the Great Emperor was just the naughtiness of an ignorant brat, not knowing the height of the sky and the thickness of the earth. The one surnamed Li's wave was the real sitting at the table and eating with chopsticks.

However, the changes that occurred again next still showed the other side of the Great Emperor.

The Great Emperor... is the Great Emperor after all.

Any existence that attempts to threaten him will pay the price for it.

Even if he can't flip the table at this moment, he still has his way of playing.

Black patterns appeared on Zhao Yi, first on his limbs, and finally gathered on the other side of his heart, where a human face emerged.

Su Luo, the tomb owner.

Li Zhuiyuan in the passenger seat looked at this scene, his eyes revealing a bit of solemnity.

Zhao Yi had taken over his own layout in the tomb owner's body and used the black leather book secret technique once.

He also paid a corresponding price for this, leaving behind hidden dangers that could not be cleared.

But this hidden danger was originally controllable, and Su Luo's personality was relatively good, not fighting, not grabbing, not violent, which made the impact of this side effect reduced to the minimum.

But now, with the further infusion of the Great Emperor's power, Su Luo was strengthened.

Regardless of whether Su Luo continued to choose plainness, his influence on Zhao Yi inevitably intensified. The side effect of using the black leather book secret technique once instantly became comparable to five times or more.

Did the strength improve?

Improved.

But Zhao Yi would rather not have this kind of improvement.

Because the magnitude of this strength improvement was far from being able to compare with the price paid for stability, and it would bury a huge hidden danger for the future.

After Su Luo's face became solid, it began to move, from Zhao Yi's chest, transferred to his shoulder, and continued to transfer, covering Zhao Yi's face.

For a time, Zhao Yi's face appeared blurry and unreal.

Li Zhuiyuan had seen a similar scene in the one under the peach forest. The current Zhao Yi was rapidly chasing toward Qing'an.

In the back carriage, the gifts given by the new round of concessions were also being distributed.

The four spirit beasts in Tan Wenbin's body emerged again. Originally pure and distinct, under the new round of infusion, they gradually revealed distortion and ferocity.

They became more powerful and more violent. Whether they were still willing to abide by the original oath and whether the Five-Sense Diagram hosted by Li Zhuiyuan could continue to maintain constraints on them had to be marked with a big question mark.

At least, when they returned to Tan Wenbin's body after this infusion, the four spirit beasts all showed varying degrees of resistance.

The light on the Liang sisters began to merge, and even appeared to alternate and flow. From then on, the relationship between the sisters changed.

They, who should have supported each other and been stronger together, became each other's predators. The weakening of one could make the other stronger, and the death of one could give the other the greatest benefit.

It is not rare for brothers and sisters to turn against each other because of money. What the Liang sisters are facing now is the temptation of contention far exceeding money. Can they continue to trust each other in the future?

The tripartite balance just formed on Runsheng was broken. Ghost energy raged forcefully, while evil energy and resentment resisted unwillingly, which caused most of the gas gates on Runsheng's body to appear silted and forced to close.

Three black lights appeared in front of Lin Shu. This time, they didn't try to find Tongzi at all, but all hit Lin Shu's brow.

The White Crane mark on the brow dimmed and was forcefully replaced by the black Ghost Marshal seal, which is equivalent to sealing Tongzi.

If Tongzi wants to wake up and raise his head, the first thing he has to face is Lin Shu himself.

Admittedly, the rapid infusion of external power will inevitably lead to various problems. Pulling up seedlings to help them grow has always been a derogatory term.

But Li Zhuiyuan still thinks that the Great Emperor could have weakened this negative impact, but the Great Emperor not only didn't do so, but deliberately magnified the negative impact as much as possible.

The evidence is that in this round of profit-making, Li Zhuiyuan himself was the only one missed.

On the one hand, the Great Emperor probably also knows that the boy has the ability to adjust and absorb even the most malicious gifts; on the other hand, it is also a deliberate knock.

Regarding this, Li Zhuiyuan had no complaints.

On the radio, Brother Liangliang's crying gradually stopped.

Li Zhuiyuan was very grateful for Brother Liangliang's persistence and help this time, even if this last persistence didn't bring a bright result, but was full of problems.

But this is not Xue Liangliang's problem, it is the partners themselves, "too weak to be supplemented."

In addition, problems are not terrible, they can be solved through research.

The partners' development path was designed by Li Zhuiyuan himself. The boy believes that he can help them adjust back to the right track and finally realize "handling funeral affairs happily."

Guesthouse room.

Xue Liangliang was confused.

Suddenly, he forgot why he was crying and making trouble, why he was sitting on the ground, and why he was holding the report book tightly in his arms?

Liangliang had supported to the limit and couldn't continue.

Elder Zhai opened his mouth at this time:

"Comrade Little Xue, I want to fulfill my last wish before retirement, to be the reporter for this meeting, I hope you can fulfill it."

Xue Liangliang handed the report book over and said: "Of course, Elder Zhai, this reporter was originally the most suitable for you."

Elder Zhai reached out to take the book.

This time, there was no competition between the two sides, and Xue Liangliang let go of his hand very straightforwardly.

Luo Gong frowned, his eyes showing doubt, and turned his head to look at Elder Zhai.

He had presided over many projects and seen the real world. When Xue Liangliang and Li Zhuiyuan were threatened by the Bai family lady, Luo Gong also performed for the two how to open up to the Bai family lady statue.

Therefore, he had a certain sensitivity to things that were incredible in the eyes of normal people.

At this moment, Luo Gong realized that Xue Liangliang's strong contrast didn't seem to be entirely Xue Liangliang's problem.

"Elder Zhai, you..."

"Hum!"

Before Luo Gong could finish his words, another scene appeared in his and Xue Liangliang's vision.

In this scene, the actions and words of the two began to play backward, all the way back to Elder Zhai knocking on the door outside.

Then, at this scale point, fast forward again.

Elder Zhai came in, and the three of them communicated the meeting process and precautions in the room.

Xue Liangliang didn't refuse or cry, and Luo Gong didn't have any doubts or incomprehension. Everyone talked very naturally.

Finally, Elder Zhai put forward his uninvited request, Luo Gong agreed, and Xue Liangliang also handed over the report book very straightforwardly.

Since then, everything has returned to normal.

The discordant wrinkles were smoothed out.

Xue Liangliang and Luo Gong were not Li Zhuiyuan yesterday, who could clearly perceive this change and remain sober, they directly forgot what happened in the "first round."

"It's getting late. Before the meeting starts, I'll make some preparations. I'm sorry to disturb your rest."

Elder Zhai stood up, ready to say goodbye.

Luo Tingrui said: "We can't sleep anyway, let's go downstairs to drink tea together."

"Okay, just in time for me to see, I can make some exchanges and supplements."

Just like that, Elder Zhai left the room with Luo Gong and Xue Liangliang and came to the first floor.

Thinking that it was too early, the guesthouse staff shouldn't have been on duty yet, so Xue Liangliang brought his own tea leaves, tea sets, and a bottle of hot water.

However, today's meeting was extremely important, and the reception work was highly valued. The service staff had long been on standby, and several tables of people were already sitting downstairs drinking tea and waiting.

Elder Zhai found a quiet corner to sit down, talking to Luo Tingrui while flipping through the report book, waiting for the meeting to officially start.

In the middle, Xue Liangliang went to the toilet, and when he walked back, he stopped unconsciously.

There seemed to be an extremely important promise in his mind, but he didn't remember it.

"Did I fulfill this promise?"

Looking up, looking toward the Ghost Street direction, there was heavy fog this morning, and the Ghost Street side was completely wrapped in thick fog, gray, and nothing could be seen.

Xue Liangliang's heart couldn't help but be in chaos.

With something on his mind, he walked back to the first floor and came to the corner where his teacher and Elder Zhai were sitting.

Xue Liangliang's gaze fell on the report book Elder Zhai was reading again subconsciously.

Elder Zhai tilted his head slightly, looked at Xue Liangliang, and then closed the report book and placed it on the inner side of the seat.

The sofa was a bit slippery, and the report book fell into the gap between the sofa and the wall.

Xue Liangliang: "Elder Zhai, I'll pick it up."

Elder Zhai stood up and refused Xue Liangliang: "No, no need, I can do it, you sit."

First, he pushed the sofa out with some difficulty, then bent down and reached out, finally picking up the report book again, self-deprecatingly:

"Sigh, I'm old, my body is really getting less and less useful. Sometimes, you really have to admit you're old. It's time to retire."

Luo Gong: "Even if you retire, relying on your experience and cognition, you can still continue to shine and heat. I don't believe you can really rest."

"Let's see if I can go to school to bring students again."

Hearing this, Luo Engineer immediately looked at Xue Liangliang.

At present, the graduates of Haihe University are basically assigned. Whoever can master the power of distribution has a higher right to speak in the school. The current Xue Liangliang really has it.

Xue Liangliang understood and directly issued an invitation: "If Elder Zhai doesn't dislike it, you can come to our Haihe University to be an honorary professor, give students lectures, and expand their horizons."

Elder Zhai's face was moved, but he didn't rush to agree.

Xue Liangliang continued: "Xiaoyuan is also studying there."

Elder Zhai laughed: "Good, after the things in hand are handed over, I can go to Jin Ling to stay for a while. Jin Ling's scenery is nourishing."

Xue Liangliang had long seen Elder Zhai's love for Xiaoyuan. Of course, there shouldn't be any teacher who wouldn't like a student like Xiaoyuan.

However, Xue Liangliang didn't tell Elder Zhai that Xiaoyuan was basically not at school now. Let's cheat people over first.

Elder Zhai unfolded the report book again and continued to read.

Seeing the teacup was empty, Xue Liangliang prepared to pour tea for the two teachers.

Just as he stood up, Elder Zhai closed the report book and leaned back slightly.

Xue Liangliang joked: "You look like I'm going to grab something in your hand."

Elder Zhai picked up the teacup, took a sip, and laughed. He himself felt inexplicable, because he really had this feeling in his heart.

At this time, Zheng Hua ran in, didn't see the people sitting in the corner downstairs, ran upstairs first, and then ran down to ask the waiter after a while, only then noticed the position of his teacher and them.

Zheng Hua: "Teacher, Luo Gong, people are here."

Luo Gong and Elder Zhai both stood up, tidied their clothes simply, and walked out together to welcome them.

Although the meeting time was set in advance, most people would arrive very early. After the truly important figures also arrived, the meeting could start at any time.

The TV station staff had long arranged machines in the conference auditorium, and specifically divided a group of people to film at the entrance of the guesthouse.

The sun in the early morning had already come out. This Fengdou was half covered by heavy fog and half sunny and cloudless.

After a series of handshakes and greetings, Luo Gong and Elder Zhai walked toward the auditorium, each leading a few people while being surrounded by a group of people.

Walking and walking, Elder Zhai stopped, and the team on his side also stagnated.

Everyone looked at Elder Zhai first, and found that Elder Zhai was looking up at the sky.

A rainbow hung overhead, very beautiful.

Li Zhuiyuan felt it didn't matter that he was missed in the last round of profit-making.

What he couldn't understand was that he himself in reality hadn't died yet.

The boy didn't even know why he could hold on so long.

This delay in dying also has trouble, that is, from time to time, Li Zhuiyuan will switch to the dying state.

Once "back" to the Ghost Street, the feeling of the whole body like a semi-melted ice cream is really tormenting.

At this moment, the Sanskrit sound is getting louder and louder.

The team carrying the white dog and the Buddha statue is constantly approaching.

Whether it is the Arhats carrying the palanquin or the monks opening the way, each one is solemn and exquisite.

That layer upon layer of Buddha light, from bottom to top, illuminated the entire Ghost Street.

But it didn't move against the dark clouds at the very top for a long time, just illuminated themselves.

The shop fronts on both sides of the Ghost Street opened their doors and windows gradually, revealing Buddha shadows inside.

This feeling is like moving all the Buddha statues of a big temple to the Ghost Street for an exhibition.

The team arrived in front of Li Zhuiyuan.

The monks had a fragrance on their bodies, which should have been refreshing and good-smelling, but the number of monks was really too many, making the smell too strong and turning it into smoky and fiery.

Li Zhuiyuan was already breathing out more than breathing in, plus this smell rushed, making him start to gasp for breath at a high frequency, really going to the truck under the yellow river for a while and returning to the reality Ghost Street for a while.

This switching frequency made the current Li Zhuiyuan feel carsick.

However, even if it was intermittent, when that palanquin passed in front of him, Li Zhuiyuan also saw some clues.

Reasonably speaking, the smell on the Arhats carrying the palanquin should be the heaviest, but it was not. Their smell was a progression in a non-distance way.

Moreover, the sound of footsteps after each Luo Han stepped down was not timely. Clearly, the Luo Han in front had already walked past, but his footsteps sounded in the empty space he had passed.

Li Zhuiyuan: So, Bodhisattva, is not synchronized with this human world?

There are past Buddhas, present Buddhas, and future Buddhas. Looking at it this way, Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva chose to put himself in the future?

Li Zhuiyuan couldn't help but sigh in his heart, these guys, in order to live long, really can do anything.

Whether it was monks or Arhats, they didn't pay attention to the boy who was "semi-melted" on the side of the street.

The white dog on the palanquin was almost killed by Li Zhuiyuan's blow earlier, and it was paralyzed at this moment, very quiet.

Instead, the Buddha statue on the white dog slowly turned its head and faced Li Zhuiyuan.

The familiar gaze struck again.

Li Zhuiyuan knew that this was the Bodhisattva examining himself.

But the Bodhisattva didn't flick lightly to destroy himself, although the boy hoped the Bodhisattva would do so.

It's just that the Bodhisattva didn't "pinch" this little ant to death.

Because the current Li Zhuiyuan, besides melting here waiting for death, couldn't do anything else. Killing or not killing had no meaning.

The front of the team stopped at the offering table left by Li Zhuiyuan.

The monks chanted scriptures, and strands of belief condensed onto the palanquin, forming golden light flowing. A large hand as white as jade reached out from this golden light, raised a finger, and pointed forward.

"Hum."

Like water ripples, extremely miserable screams sounded, and endless ghost shadows overflowed, wandering the entire Ghost Street.

Even though all the monks on the whole street were chanting scriptures, they still couldn't suppress the small overflow of ghost energy at this time.

The sound of fierce ghosts roaring was shielded by Li Zhuiyuan himself. He now heard a very slight sound of flowing water.

It didn't rain, it wasn't the pier, but there was a real river, as if falling from the sky, smoothed out, and flowing toward this side.

This is... river water.

The reason why he came to Fengdou this time was the river water pushed by the Bodhisattva.

Li Zhuiyuan has the authority to open the Ghost Gate, and the Bodhisattva has the ability to open the Ghost Gate.

Even if it wasn't the boy who opened the Ghost Gate himself, as long as the boy came to the Ghost Street and moved the river water, the Bodhisattva could take advantage of the river water to push the door and open the Ghost Gate.

As long as the key is here, whether to decide to open this door no longer depends on the key's opinion.

"Boom boom boom!"

The Ghost Gate is opening, bringing the breath of decay and dust.

More and more ghost energy surged out. All the monks on the street sat cross-legged, and golden marks appeared on their brows. Next, this large amount of ghost energy was absorbed into their bodies by these monks as soon as it came out of the Ghost Gate.

Li Zhuiyuan watched with his own eyes as many monks' faces turned green, changing from kind-hearted to twisted and ferocious.

They were using this self-sacrificing way to help the Bodhisattva disperse and bear these pressures.

Even if Li Zhuiyuan felt that they didn't have to do this, if the Bodhisattva couldn't even bear this little pressure, it would be better to get off the lotus platform early.

It was they who wanted to do this, to obtain a great sense of satisfaction, and the Bodhisattva didn't stop them, let alone reach out to help them share, even if this was very simple for him.

The opened Ghost Gate is no longer just a door, it is more like a crack that has been torn open again, like a scar left in the world.

The Arhats carrying the palanquin stopped there, even though the Ghost Gate had already opened, they didn't continue to move forward.

That large hand reached out again, grabbed a corner of the Ghost Gate, and soon, strands of gold spread from that large hand to the Ghost Gate.

Li Zhuiyuan finally understood that the Bodhisattva didn't intend to enter this Ghost Gate and enter the Yin Division at all.

The Bodhisattva deceived the world and deceived myths.

Of course, it is possible that the Bodhisattva once had the intention of entering the Yin Division. Now, it is possible that the Bodhisattva changed his mind.

The Bodhisattva doesn't go in, he wants to master this Ghost Gate, so as to seal the Ghost Gate forever.

A Ghost Gate that cannot be opened again will also lose its meaning of existence, and the Yin Division that is completely isolated from the outside world will no longer have value of existence.

Eternal sealing is equivalent to destruction.

Then, the Bodhisattva can create from scratch, his own new Yin Division, and redefine the relationship between Yin and Yang with his own blueprint.

It has to be said that this is really in line with the Bodhisattva's behavioral habits. He gave up the True Lord to seal it forever, and then established the Guan Jiang Shou system.

The evil energy on the Ghost Gate is being continuously transformed by the Buddha light. When the Buddha light completely covers the entire Ghost Gate, it means that the Bodhisattva has completely mastered it.

The speed, although not slow, cannot be called fast.

It should be because only one hand was used, so, where is the other hand guarding against?

Li Zhuiyuan's peripheral vision looked outside the Ghost Street.

Maybe, it is guarding against the Great Emperor outside.

Looking at it this way, the Bodhisattva is certain that Elder Zhai is the real Fengdu Great Emperor, or that the real Great Emperor is not in Fengdu at this moment.

Gods are setting up games against each other and guarding against each other.

This level of confrontation, because the Heavenly Dao is pressing on it, has long been not a fight when meeting, and there are many things to consider.

Let's see who wins in the end.

Li Zhuiyuan felt that the Great Emperor would win.

Even if the Bodhisattva's performance and true purpose exceeded or even subverted Li Zhuiyuan's original expectations, this did not affect Li Zhuiyuan's judgment of the result, because he didn't put the variables on the Bodhisattva's side to begin with.

Feeling that the Great Emperor would win is because in this wave, the Great Emperor's direct intervention was the least. Unlike the Bodhisattva, he never appeared, but his obvious intervention times were very many.

Li Zhuiyuan felt that the one who had the confidence to sit on the Diaoyutai had a better chance of winning.

How long has he been walking the river? The Bodhisattva picked up this knife of his, but the Great Emperor had been operating in the identity of Elder Zhai for so long.

"Boom!"

Just at this time, two huge, withered, and thin hands probed from the Ghost Gate and grabbed the Bodhisattva's clean and holy hand.

Immediately after, began to pull it into the Ghost Gate.

The moment the two sides touched, terrible aftershocks rippled. Fortunately, they were above, and the cut surface that scattered was also above. If this happened on the ground, Li Zhuiyuan felt that at least this Ghost Street would inevitably be erased in an instant.

The Bodhisattva miscalculated, the Great Emperor... is in Fengdu.

The Great Emperor is forcibly pulling the Bodhisattva who attempted to master the Ghost Gate into the Fengdu Yin Division.

The Bodhisattva's other hand stretched out, and the two sides began to wrestle.

The images of the four hands quickly dissipated, and instead turned into the black Great Emperor's aura and the Bodhisattva's Buddha light in a stalemate, both sides were consuming their own foundation.

At this moment, Li Zhuiyuan felt that all the crimes he had suffered while alive were worth it.

This level of confrontation is rare, and even if you really seek it... you don't want to be able to get close to watch it safely.

Unlike now, anyway, it's a rotten life, death is nothing more than going to the truck to reunite with companions, and can still live. Even if swept away by some small aftermath and turned into ashes, it doesn't matter.

Up to this point, the mission of his wave was completed. He ran here thousands of miles away just to bridge the gap for them and set up a card table.

The stalemate continued. Li Zhuiyuan didn't see who had the advantage. There was a kind of even split.

Under normal circumstances, this is impossible. Although Li Zhuiyuan didn't know how strong these two "gods" were, there was no reason for them to be equally strong.

So, one side didn't use full strength.

It should be that they felt they didn't need to go all out, because the follow-up move was about to appear.

But the Great Emperor is also inside.

Once that follow-up move appears, wouldn't even the Great Emperor be impacted together?

Li Zhuiyuan felt that this should also be the main reason why the Bodhisattva previously thought the Great Emperor was outside, not just because he had met with the figure behind Elder Zhai in the guesthouse.

In short, in this layout competition, the Great Emperor achieved ruthlessness toward himself, ruthless to the point that even his opponent was caught off guard.

Guesthouse, auditorium.

Elder Zhai, as the reporter, stood on the stage and made a report.

Although old, his voice could be loud at this time, and his pronunciation was very clear. In his statement, the future scene of this project was gradually unfolding in the minds of the attendees.

The length of the report book was not too long, but every word in it was related to the fate of I don't know how many people.

How many cultural relics have to be transferred for rescue protection, how many people have to pack their bags and head to the arranged new hometown, and how much of this city will be completely submerged at the bottom of the water.

In the past, the vicissitudes of life contained a part of long time, but at present, this possibility can be realized in a short time.

Elder Zhai was tired of speaking. When picking up the teacup to drink water, he signaled Xue Liangliang to come up to help him make a supplementary introduction on data.

Xue Liangliang's supplement made the picture in the minds of the attendees more three-dimensional.

Many people made movements of looking down at their feet or raising their hands. The future here and the current here collided in the perception of the attendees.

Because they believe that the project will be completed and successful, they believe that the future described in the report will inevitably come, which instead impacted the current reality at this moment.

Many people smiled self-deprecatingly after making this movement, which also showed from the side that the level of this report was high.

Technical discussion and verification had long ended. The formal implementation and development of the next project requires the concerted cooperation of many departments.

Therefore, it is very important to let everyone know clearly what they are doing and what they will do.

Xue Liangliang's supplement was finished, and he walked off the stage.

Elder Zhai pointed to Xue Liangliang's back and said to the people under the stage:

"This is Old Luo's proud student. In terms of cultivating students, Old Luo is indeed ahead of

The shoulder pole we took from our predecessors is destined to be entrusted to the next generation. We must not only believe in the wisdom of our descendants but even more so believe that the descendants, having a better platform, will be wiser than us, just as our predecessors viewed us in the same way back then."

Applause erupted from the audience.

Luo Tingrui clapped while his eyes searched for Li Zhuiyuan's figure.

While Elder Zhai's previous words contained an element of politeness, the cultivation of student disciples had always been the part Luo Tingrui was most proud of.

As long as they were still fighting and building on the front lines, even if he were to become so aged in the future that he could only lie in a hospital bed, he would still have a strong sense of participation; in the ever-changing future, there would be that tiny spark of brilliance belonging to him.

"Liangliang, where is Xiao Yuan?"

"He should be sitting behind the auditorium. You know, the front seats aren't very convenient."

The seating for this meeting was very strict.

Luo Tingrui smiled and said, "What's inconvenient about it? If it really doesn't work, he can sit on my lap."

Xue Liangliang: "Teacher, are you trying to take advantage of the fact that Xiao Yuan hasn't grown up yet to show off this little top scholar some more?"

Luo Tingrui: "Top scholar doesn't count for much anymore. I looked at the things Xiao Yuan organized during the meeting that day; in terms of professionalism, Xiao Yuan has already caught up to and even surpassed you, his senior brother."

Xue Liangliang: "Isn't that normal?"

Luo Tingrui nodded: "That's true, too."

Elder Zhai brought the report to a close without any dragging or hesitation. When he spoke the final few sentences, he closed the report and folded it in his hand.

"Thank you all, my report is concluded."

After speaking, the report was slammed forcefully onto the podium in front of him by Elder Zhai.

"Clap!"

Everyone in the room stood up and applauded enthusiastically, because this meeting could also be viewed as a pledge rally before the start of the project.

A shadow detached itself from behind Elder Zhai.

Elder Zhai walked toward the stage, while the shadow drifted upward.

At this moment, rays of rosy light had already gathered here.

The shadow stood in the center of the rosy light, raised a hand, and pointed toward the area of the Ghost Street that was still shrouded in thick fog.

In an instant, the rosy light flew away.

These rays of rosy light were conviction, faith, the fearless courage to dare to call for the sun and moon to change into a new face to forge this world, and even more so, the highest level of fortune.

It would ebb and flow, rise and sink, but at this moment, it was surging like a rainbow, the five stars appearing in the east, unstoppable!

"Ksitigarbha, you want to seal my Fengdu and recreate the Underworld.

Then today, I will personally help you realize your great vow.

Enter my hell,

and for me,

suppress ten thousand ghosts!"

Ghost Street.

The dark clouds in the sky were poked with countless large holes in the blink of an eye, and a power that could not be described in words crashed down, smashing heavily onto the Buddha light.

The stalemate was broken in an instant.

The Buddha light began to enter the Ghost Gate involuntarily.

But the Bodhisattva did not want to enter this Ghost Gate; "If I do not enter hell, who will?" and the vow "Not to become a Buddha until hell is empty" referred to His own hell.

When the new hell was just built, it was naturally empty.

The Bodhisattva, therefore, logically became a Buddha.

The Buddha light was further compressed, and entering the Ghost Gate seemed to have no suspense left.

But just at this moment, although the Buddha light was still there, it appeared clearly layered.

A solemn voice echoed from above:

"My body is in the future."

Being in the future not only could shield the perception of the Heavenly Dao but could also, at this moment, detach from this meticulously arranged vortex.

However, from this sentence, one could also see that in this layout confrontation, the Bodhisattva had conceded.

The Bodhisattva was no longer considering how to win, but was planning to escape.

It's just, is hiding in the future really useful?

When Li Zhuiyuan saw the "water" constantly rising in front of him, the boy knew that the Bodhisattva probably couldn't leave, because this "water" was not the manifestation of the previous "river water"; it was more realistic and more surging, and most importantly, this "water" also came from the future.

This place in the future would be submerged.

The waves slapped down fiercely, and in the end, the Buddha light that had appeared layered was squeezed out again.

The rosy light and the water waves converged, forming an extremely terrifying power, roaring thunderously.

"Yin Changsheng..."

The Bodhisattva only had time to leave this sound before the Buddha light was completely swept into the Ghost Gate; also swept down together was the Fengdu Emperor who was inside the Ghost Gate.

This impact had not yet ended and was very persistent; one must know that this was a power that even the Bodhisattva could not resist, yet at this moment it rushed into the Underworld along the Ghost Gate, as if the end of the Underworld had arrived.

Li Zhuiyuan was quite curious; if conditions allowed, he really wanted to enter the Underworld to take a look, but at the moment, the conditions did not allow it in the slightest.

The boy didn't know how many broken walls and ruins would be left in the Underworld after this scouring, but if standing from the Emperor's perspective, since the Bodhisattva wanted to seal the Underworld and recreate a new one, it would be better to pull the Bodhisattva in and suppress Him under his own seat, and then rebuild it himself.

This way, he would not only resolve the strong enemy who had a lineage dispute with him but also reduce the forces that had their own agendas and had already begun to act behind his back, all without dirtying his own hands.

Li Zhuiyuan sat on the ground; having witnessed the whole process, he felt a sense of emptiness like after watching an open-air movie in the village, very satisfied yet still wanting more.

"Creak... creak..."

The Ghost Gate, which hadn't been open for long, began to close.

The grand reshuffling came to an end, and what remained would be the winner cleaning up the table.

A black shadow skimmed across the river, boarded the pier, and then followed the Ghost Street, heading all the way up.

Li Zhuiyuan watched him come over.

On him, the boy saw the image of the Emperor, and at the same time, there was a familiarity with Elder Zhai.

Elder Zhai was Elder Zhai, and the Emperor was the Emperor; although they were derived from one, they were not the only one.

Now, the Emperor and Elder Zhai had separated.

At the moment, this black shadow would return to the Underworld to merge into his true self, and Elder Zhai, from this point on, would have no entangling relationship with the Emperor.

Living a long life indeed has advantages; you can even set aside a portion of your mind to substitute into completing someone else's nearly entire life.

But Li Zhuiyuan didn't envy this kind of advantage; if one could experience other people's lives at will, then who would continue to cherish their own life?

Having lived a lifetime for someone else, when returning to oneself, what kind of life would there be left? It would be meaningless.

The boy's body was now melted, but his thinking was still very clear.

Therefore, when the black shadow passed in front of him, the boy mustered his last bit of strength and raised his hand.

"Sizzle... sizzle..."

His own body was like an undercooked egg being flipped over, and the things inside spilled out.

Li Zhuiyuan himself felt that he was truly disgusting at this moment.

But he still stubbornly grabbed his hand toward the black shadow's ankle.

At this moment, he wasn't panting, and his strength was a bit greater; hmm, it must be the final flash of clarity before death.

Li Zhuiyuan looked at the black shadow and asked:

"Where is Mengmeng?"

In the truck, there was no sign of Mengmeng.

The boy's hand grabbed at empty air; the black shadow continued forward, not looking down at the boy once, not even making any pause.

The anger in the past was fake; pushing it backward, Li Zhuiyuan could reasonably suspect that the Emperor's original decree to exterminate that family was also paving the way for today's layout.

The Emperor had been living all along, not sealed and sleeping, and for an existence that had lived so long, where could there possibly be any human joy, anger, sorrow, or happiness left?

Oh no, earlier in the truck, the Emperor's remark, "How big is your appetite, really?" must have been genuine anger.

Because he had successfully offended the Emperor by borrowing Liangliang's hand, touching the Emperor's majesty.

The black shadow walked toward the slowly closing Ghost Gate.

Li Zhuiyuan's weak voice continued to sound:

"We came together when we arrived, so we must go back together when we return. You put Mengmeng back; this is no longer her home. I want to take her back to our home in Nantong."

The black shadow walked into the Ghost Gate, not intending to pay any attention at all.

Li Zhuiyuan: "In the last round just now, you missed me. I haven't received the reward for that round yet. It can't be that they all have it, but I was left out. This is unreasonable, and it doesn't make sense; it will make me lose a lot of face."

The black shadow turned around from inside the gate; this time, he was looking at Li Zhuiyuan.

Although his true face could not be seen, one could feel that he seemed to find it a little bit interesting and a little bit ridiculous at this moment.

Because, Li Zhuiyuan's appearance right now, and the words the boy had just spoken, indeed carried a kind of innocence that shouldn't have appeared on him.

Is it pleading, is it acting spoiled, is it wanting to get your true recognition?

You really dare to think, and even more, you really dare to ask.

The black shadow just stood inside the gate, giving Li Zhuiyuan a final look; at any rate, this child was also his "successor," verbally.

The Ghost Gate had already closed to the point where only a slit remained, and this slit happened to be the position where the black shadow was standing.

Soon, the Ghost Gate would close this slit, ending the eye contact between the black shadow and the boy.

However, just at this moment, only an extremely abrupt sound was heard:

"Crack!"

The Ghost Gate got stuck here and didn't move, just leaving this slit sufficient for the black shadow and the boy to look at each other.

The black shadow first raised his head to look up, then looked again at Li Zhuiyuan, who was melted onto the street outside.

The boy's pleading voice stopped, the humbleness in his eyes dissipated, and replacing it was his most accustomed calmness.

If it weren't for his facial skin being severely cracked, unable to make extra movements, Li Zhuiyuan would really have wanted to try to curl the corners of his mouth at this moment, giving the black shadow in the door slit a faint smile.

You can ignore me and walk past me calmly; but in the end, you still have to walk back the same way you walked over.

When Zhao Yi went to his death earlier, why was it so simple and straightforward, failing to create the aesthetic of death he wanted? Because he was squeezed dry by Li Zhuiyuan before he went to his death.

Li Zhuiyuan's final choice was the way of perishing together with Di Ting, also because he himself had been squeezed dry and really couldn't make any extra movements.

One must know that he could have used the Fengdu Great Formation to suppress Di Ting and then get an opportunity to face the Bodhisattva directly, even if the ending would inevitably be being flicked to death by the Bodhisattva's finger, but this experience would still be incomparably precious.

Even so, Li Zhuiyuan still gave it up.

When lending his brain to Li Zhuiyuan, Zhao Yi had once shown a shocked and admiring look toward Li Zhuiyuan.

Because he "saw" what the one surnamed Li was secretly doing!

The black shadow walked out from the Ghost Gate slit; his facial features began to clarify, and his gaze was looking at the dying boy on the ground without any concealment, no longer with interest, ridicule, or pity, but with solemnity mixed with intense complexity.

He had originally thought that the persistence at Xue Liangliang's place was the boy's greatest reliance, setting a hurdle for himself within his simplest link.

But he hadn't expected that the truly simplest link was actually here.

At this moment, he even took the initiative to speak, his voice carrying a majesty he had actively suppressed, making his tone as calm and gentle as possible:

"Disciple, tell your master, what did you secretly do?"

"Master, I changed the formation of our family's main gate."
