Chapter 490: Thank You to a Hundred Allies, and a Request for Double Monthly Votes

Thank you to a hundred allies, and I humbly request double monthly votes.

Thank you to a hundred allies, and I humbly request double monthly votes.

After half a year since launching this book, I've finally reached a hundred allies—I must write something in return.

This is a world in transformation. The times are changing, the environment is changing, and everyone's tastes are shifting too.

When writing Dragon's Hide, I encountered more difficulties than ever before. The real competitors for web novels are short videos, films, and other content that also consume people's leisure time; tastes and expectations have clearly risen, making readers harder to satisfy.

I myself needed to abandon outdated beliefs, narrative habits, and stale or ineffective ideas. This process was extremely painful: first, some habits are unconscious, requiring external reminders.

Second, when what I write is criticized, I easily fly into a rage and refuse to accept it. Arrogance and stubbornness are always terrible flaws.

Fortunately, you've been with me, and your comments largely pointed the way. The comment section is full of hidden dragons and phoenixes.

While writing Dragon's Hide, I continuously corrected these issues; by now, the content and style have already undergone three or four iterations. The process was arduous, but I've finally made it through.

I'll keep iterating in the future—this process is far from over. When I can write with ease and joy, and you can read with ease and joy, that's when we'll be close enough.

In one, look `

Finally, thank you to all the allies of this book! I'll strive to repay all the extra chapters owed before the story ends! Alliance list:

Standing in this era where we can truly look Westerners in the eye, most people now recognize both the strengths and weaknesses of the West. Our so-called universal values have been redefined and are now entirely different from those of the past, when we looked up to the West; more and more people are confronting history and rediscovering the value of the people's historical perspective.

Though this is an era of entertainment, web novels still carry something beyond simple pleasure—something worth pursuing, like new worlds, or certain humanistic spirits.
