Chapter 342: Domain Divine Grace
After the Heroic Souls began their inheritance, the Church of Drama and Joy naturally emerged.
It was a revived true deity church, which Dai Nia had long known about.
But only after this process did she gain a “reason” to secretly support its rise.
Li En had merely sent people to preach in Dai Nia’s town, even without mentioning any benefits, yet a large number of “townsfolk” chose this new faith—perhaps because Li En had ordered eggs and cooking oil distributed to believers.
It seems these small favors were enough to make many change their faith.
Yes, change—not “begin believing.” In this world, theism has always been the mainstream; whether devout or not, people usually find some god to worship.
Yet human faith has never been fixed, and even Li En hadn’t expected the minimum “five hundred” initiates to be reached so quickly.
【Subsystem e03-1 of Auxiliary Intelligence Support System e03 has been activated.】
This was the first time since the “Great Red Dragon’s Resurrection” incident that Li En had seen such an “Earth-style” prompt.
Who is e03? Is it that deity? Then does the “-1” suffix indicate a derivative of its subsystem?
Li En shook his head; the intelligence was too scarce to make an accurate judgment. The only certainty was that Li Ensu had indeed done something.
“Still, quite generous.”
【Regular Divine Spell list updated. Obtained Minor Restoration.】
This seemed repetitive again, but it was expected—this spell was useful and low-cost, favored by many deities.
There was little expectation for the quantity or quality of universal divine spells; newborn deities were weak. The real gain lay in the benefits brought by second-ring priests.
【Second-Ring Priest, choose your domain. Current options: ‘Arts (Singer)’, ‘Sun’.】
The stronger the deity, the more choices they offer. The original God of Drama had only one domain: ‘Arts,’ which had little to do with combat and could barely grant minor bard-like abilities at best.
“Sun Domain.”
No need for further thought—the Sun Domain was inherently an extremely powerful divine domain.
【Obtained First-Ring Divine Spell: Burning Hands. Second-Ring Divine Spell: Fire Arrow.】
Two spells acquired, but they were merely imitation versions of identical wizard spells. To Li En, they were nearly meaningless.
What mattered was the next thing—Divine Grace.
【Choose your Divine Grace evolution path (Sun).】
“You can actually choose?”
Li En was surprised—such things were usually given outright, but after carefully reviewing, he grew even more satisfied.
【Divine Grace: Complete Combustion (Second-Ring): Activate to grant your fire and light-based evocation spells the fullest combustion effect (similar to hyper-oxygenated state) for the next ten seconds. Twice daily, replenished naturally by sunrise.】
This was the true strength of a Domain Priest—the reason behind the joke that “the strongest thunder magic belongs to Storm Priests.”
It was said Storm Priests could turn an area into a “superconducting state.” In such a state, lightning damage doubled at minimum—accidentally vaporizing a dragon was entirely possible.
Ultimately, this was authority, a divine privilege. Though limited by usage (frequency and cost), when combined with other supernatural abilities, it became “conditionally overwhelming.”
Its power operated on a logic and principle entirely different from normal spells—it was a partial correction of the world itself, a true “bug” ability.
The Sun Domain wasn’t this extreme, but still powerful; merely “Complete Combustion” could multiply the burning effect of fire and light spells severalfold.
And it required no extra cost. Normal spells, flames, and combustion were never complete—this Divine Grace caused all combustion to erupt fully in an instant, drastically increasing instantaneous lethality.
