Chapter 1154

Meanwhile, Ye Chen had already ridden his scooter several hundred meters away.

To avoid being found by Du Haiqing, he didn't even buy groceries and headed straight for Tang Chen Yi Pin.

On the way, he called Chen Zekai and immediately instructed: "Old Chen, someone went to the old house where my parents lived today. Help me investigate who it is!"

Chen Zekai asked in surprise: "Young Master, did you go to the old house today?"

"Yes!" Ye Chen said: "I saw a woman there. She looked at me and called my father's name. I want you to help me find out her identity, and also check whether this person is a friend or a foe, and what kind of interaction she had with my father."

"Understood!" Chen Zekai said without hesitation: "I will start the investigation right away!"

Ye Chen added: "By the way, there is one more thing I need you to help me with."

Chen Zekai hurriedly said: "Young Master, please speak!"

Ye Chen said: "Find out the current situation of the owner of the old house, when his case will be sentenced, and when the house will be auctioned judicially. I want to buy that old house when the time comes!"

"Very well, Young Master, I will check on that right away!"

Afterward, Ye Chen found a supermarket near Tang Chen Yi Pin, bought some groceries, and prepared to go home. Just as he left the supermarket, Chen Zekai's call came through.

"Young Master, there are results for both matters!"

Ye Chen gave a hum and said: "Tell me about them separately!"

Chen Zekai hurriedly said: "The person who went to your parents' former residence today is the Second Miss of the Yan Jing Du family, Du Haiqing."

Ye Chen frowned and asked: "The Du family? Du Haiqing? What is her background?"

Chen Zekai said: "This Du Haiqing is Su Shoudao's wife."

"What?" Ye Chen asked in astonishment: "Su Shoudao's wife? The biological mother of Su Zhifei and Su Zhiyu?"

"That's right," Chen Zekai said: "She is the mother of Su Zhifei and Su Zhiyu. She arrived in Jin Ling this morning."

Ye Chen pursued: "Then why did she go to my parents' former residence? Did she know my father?"

Chen Zekai explained: "You might not know about this, but in fact, this Du Haiqing has always liked your father; it's just that your father didn't choose her back then."

Ye Chen was surprised and also felt somewhat awkward.

Su Shoudao's wife liking his own father was indeed a bit unexpected.

Ye Chen thought that the fact that Su Ruoli was Su Shoudao's illegitimate daughter had just been exposed by the Japanese media last night. Du Haiqing came to Jin Ling today and even went to his parents' former residence; this was indeed a bit too impatient, wasn't it? If Su Shoudao knew, he would probably be so angry he'd vomit blood.

Chen Zekai added: "Young Master, there is also news about the house."

Ye Chen hurriedly said: "Tell me!"

Chen Zekai explained: "The house owner's case will have its final judgment in the next two days. The amount involved in his illegal fundraising is very large, and his capital chain has broken, so he is unable to repay it. Therefore, in addition to the prison sentence, it is highly likely that all his assets will be confiscated to compensate the victimized investors. So, once the judgment is passed, the house will immediately enter the judicial auction process. If it's fast, the auction could start within a week!"

Upon hearing this, Ye Chen felt a surge of joy and hurriedly said: "Help me register. I want to participate in the auction. No matter what, I must buy that house back!"

Chen Zekai said: "Understood, Young Master, leave this matter to me!"

Ye Chen gave a hum and said: "Let's leave it at that for now. Keep a close eye on that Du Haiqing for me recently. Since she knew my father, she might deduce my identity. My identity cannot be exposed yet, so try not to let her find me."

"Understood, Young Master!"

After hanging up, Ye Chen couldn't help but feel a headache.

He discovered that there seemed to be a strong and strange magnetic field between him and the Su family.

Although he had been waiting for an opportunity to question the Su family about the Anti-Ye Alliance back then and make them pay the price, he hadn't even gone to settle scores with them yet, but he had already had various interactions with the Su family members one after another.

First, he accidentally saved two descendants of the Su family in Japan, namely Su Zhifei and Su Zhiyu, but when Ye Chen saved them, he didn't know they were Su Shoudao's children;

Then, in a hospital in Tokyo, he brushed shoulders with Su Shoudao, but at that time, Ye Chen didn't know the man right in front of him was Su Shoudao.

Otherwise, given Ye Chen's temper, even if he didn't kill Su Shoudao on the spot, he would at least have made him impotent first, then remembered his face and settled the score slowly;

Immediately afterward, what Ye Chen didn't expect even more was that after returning from Japan this time, he accidentally saved the Su family's assassin, Su Ruoli. But what was even more absurd was that after saving her, Ye Chen discovered that this girl was Su Shoudao's illegitimate daughter!

By this point, Ye Chen had already saved all three of Su Shoudao's children—one son and two daughters!

The key was that all three of them were the children of his enemy!

Saving the enemy's children one after another due to coincidences was, for Ye Chen, a twist of fate that left him speechless.

And who would have thought that today, while passing by the old house to take a look, he would run into Su Shoudao's wife, the mother of Su Zhifei and Su Zhiyu, Du Haiqing!

What was even more infuriating was that Du Haiqing seemed to have loved his father for many years...

Thinking of all this, Ye Chen felt his head was as big as a bucket. He couldn't help but let out a breath of frustration and cursed inwardly: "What kind of messy business is all this!"

Thus, he secretly swore in his heart that when he confronted Su Shoudao face-to-face in the future, not only would he make him pay for the Anti-Ye Alliance, but he would also make him pay for the fact that he had saved his three children!

Meanwhile, Du Haiqing was also trying every possible way to find Ye Chen.

However, she knew very little about Ye Chen's situation, so she didn't know how to start for the time being.

Although the old butler had been in Jin Ling for many years, because the Du family was in a high position and their usual style was low-key and cautious, he was also very restrained as the Du family's representative in Jin Ling.

Although he knew many local high-level figures, he rarely paid attention to matters in the streets, so he could only temporarily entrust someone to start inquiring from the time of Ye Changying's car accident, first looking at the list of orphans received by various orphanages and welfare institutions after the accident, as well as the local adoption records registered at that time, attempting to find clues related to Ye Chen.

In terms of connections in Jin Ling alone, although he had a solid foundation, he was still far behind Chen Zekai.

As the spokesperson for the Ye family in Jin Ling, Chen Zekai's most important task was to establish a firm foundation in Jin Ling. Therefore, Chen Zekai's network in Jin Ling had always been very high-profile and direct, and it was a comprehensive development, far ahead of the Du family's old butler.

Therefore, when the old butler started investigating clues related to Ye Chen, he had already received the news and subsequently reported it to Ye Chen.

As soon as Ye Chen heard that they were going to start from orphanages and adoption records, he felt mostly relieved.

Normally, this direction was not wrong.

But the key was that this trail had already been cut off by Tang Sihai when his parents first passed away.

Tang Sihai had cut off all his clues, and even the orphanage where he lived at the time was operated by his people in secret, so no matter how the outside world investigated, they wouldn't find any results.

Now, Du Haiqing wanting to start finding him from here was nothing but a pipe dream.
