Chapter 1224: Cicada Shedding Its Shell

Hearing Ye Chen's question, Chen Zekai exclaimed, "Young Master, then who do you think is the mastermind behind this?"

Ye Chen thought for a moment and said, "I currently feel that the possibility of the Su family members directing it behind the scenes is the greatest."

"The Su family members?!" Chen Zekai said dumbfounded, "Young Master, why would the Su family members want to move against these two women? There's no reason for this..."

Ye Chen said with a serious expression, "If you really want a reason, I think there are many. This Auntie Du resolutely wants to divorce Su Shoudao, which in itself hurt the Su family's face. Su Shoudao must be dissatisfied, and the Su family's old master must be the same."

Chen Zekai nodded and said, "For any family with a face, if a wife or daughter-in-law publicly wants a divorce, it will definitely cause damage to the family's face. However, there's no need to take such a ruthless hand, right?"

Ye Chen said, "After all, it's a big family. Sometimes they feel that face is above everything. Moreover, Auntie Du and that Su Shoudao, it's not just as simple as wanting a divorce. You know, I know, and so many people from big families in Yan Jing must also know why she ran all the way to Jin Ling."

Chen Zekai couldn't help but nod and sighed, "It is indeed like this... The fact that the second young lady of the Du family liked your father back then was known to everyone in Yan Jing. Now she comes to Jin Ling, and even participates in this auction, bidding tens of millions for the old house where your father lived. Anyone with eyes knows that she definitely hasn't forgotten your father in her heart..."

Ye Chen sighed with a somewhat melancholy expression and said, "I am very surprised by her feelings for my father. However, the more surprised I am, the more I can't help but look at the problem from another direction."

Chen Zekai hurriedly asked, "Young Master, what direction are you talking about? My brain is a bit dull right now, and I really can't figure it out."

Ye Chen said lightly, "The other direction is naturally Su Shoudao. If Auntie Du hasn't been able to forget my father for so many years, then in the many years she has been married to Su Shoudao, has she had true feelings for Su Shoudao?"

"This..." Chen Zekai suddenly fell silent.

A moment later, he said with a sudden realization, "I understand! The second young lady of the Du family publicly came to Jin Ling to cherish the memory of your father, and even publicly participated in this auction and bought the old house where your father lived. This is almost equivalent to telling others that she has loved your father deeply for so many years. In this way, she must not have loved Su Shoudao for so many years! This is an utter humiliation to Su Shoudao!"

"Correct." Ye Chen sighed, "So I suspect that the mastermind pushing all this is very likely Su Shoudao."

Chen Zekai frowned and said, "Young Master, Su Zhiyu is Su Shoudao's flesh and blood. Even if he hates the second young lady of the Du family, he absolutely couldn't harm Su Zhiyu as well, right?"

"Yes." Ye Chen said, "A tiger doesn't eat its cubs. Su Shoudao shouldn't harm Su Zhiyu. Perhaps Su Zhiyu is just a smokescreen."

Chen Zekai said helplessly, "The Su family has always had no integrity in doing things. What you said might just be the truth."

Ye Chen said at this time, "If it is really the Su family that wants that Auntie Du to die, then I will not let them get their wish!"

Having said this, Ye Chen immediately said to Chen Zekai, "Old Chen, immediately investigate the specific location of that Rolls-Royce, and also have the helicopter ready!"

Chen Zekai heard this and immediately asked, "Young Master, are you planning to save the mother and daughter?"

Ye Chen gave a grunt and sneered, "The enemy of my enemy is my friend. I can even save Su Ruoli, let alone Du Haiqing, or Su Zhiyu!"

Chen Zekai immediately said, "Okay, Young Master! I will have someone track the location of that car, and at the same time, have the helicopter ready!"

Technology is developing rapidly now, and the vast majority of car models are equipped with certain remote functions.

Slightly worse ones can remotely check the car's location, fuel level, and whether the doors and windows are closed;

Slightly better ones can remotely open and close doors, and even remotely start the car and start the air conditioning.

Like some new energy vehicles, they can even be remotely summoned. With mobile phone operation, the car can drive itself over to find the driver, instead of the driver finding the car.

Although the Rolls-Royce doesn't have the remote summoning function, other remote functions are all complete. Among these, the car's location can be obtained in real-time from the software at the Rolls-Royce center.

Soon, Chen Zekai's subordinates sent him the movement trajectory of that car.

After looking at it, he said, "Young Master, Liu Zhan drove into the mountains."

"Into the mountains?" Ye Chen frowned, "What is the specific location?"

Chen Zekai hurriedly said, "It's in the direction of the Champs-Élysées Hot Spring Hotel."

"Good!" Ye Chen immediately ordered, "Turn to your hotel now, and take the helicopter directly to intercept his car in advance!"

Chen Zekai blurted out, "Young Master, Liu Zhan has explosives strapped to his body. Are you sure you can subdue him?"

Ye Chen sneered and said with disdain, "If I want to, I can make Liu Zhan unable to even blink, let alone press the detonation switch!"

"That's good!" Chen Zekai breathed a sigh of relief and hurriedly drove to the hotel.

At the same time, he also immediately took out his mobile phone and ordered the hotel's helicopter pilot to get ready.

At this very moment, Liu Zhan was already driving the Rolls-Royce, speeding toward the mountainous area in the south of Jin Ling.

This was the route arranged for him by Su Lao's subordinates.

After entering the mountains from here, there is a winding mountain road of more than thirty kilometers. This thirty-kilometer road has no exits and no entrances. As long as the car runs fast enough, no one can catch up.

This was also why Liu Zhan insisted that the police prepare a Rolls-Royce.

Ordinary cars driving on winding mountain roads will have a very obvious drop in power, but for a twelve-cylinder beast like a Rolls-Royce, even on a winding mountain road, the power is completely sufficient, enough to pull away from pursuers.

Moreover, the other party had already arranged a way for Liu Zhan to shed his shell like a cicada.

When Liu Zhan drove the car into a tunnel that was two kilometers long on the winding mountain road, two cars would immediately have an accident at the entrance of the tunnel, completely blocking the tunnel. And when Liu Zhan drove the car to the safety island in the middle of the tunnel, according to the requirements, he was to finish off Du Haiqing and Su Zhiyu there.

After finishing off the mother and daughter, he would follow the plan and discard the bodies in the safety island, then continue driving forward.

Near the exit of the tunnel, there would be a container truck waiting.

At that time, he would drive the Rolls-Royce directly into the container truck. The other party would use the prepared goods to hide the Rolls-Royce inside and transport it away without anyone knowing.

Moreover, the container truck prepared to receive Liu Zhan was also installed with powerful signal shielding equipment. Even if the Rolls-Royce was installed with a hundred GPS devices, it would absolutely be impossible to be discovered.

At that time, the Rolls-Royce center would find that this car had never come out since entering the tunnel.

The police would probably also focus their energy on searching for his whereabouts inside the tunnel.

By the time the police realized he might have shed his shell like a cicada, he would have already escaped alive! ===== CHAPTER 1225 =====
