Chapter 1319: A Very Cost-Effective Deal

Ye Chen did not expect that this He Zhiqiu would refuse him as soon as she came up, but naturally, it was impossible for him to admit defeat so easily, so he immediately replied: "I thought Miss He was in the United States. I didn't expect that you would be in Syria. I don't know why you ran there?"

He Zhiqiu replied: "Several of my college classmates and I came here together to shoot a documentary about war, and then prepared to use the documentary as an opportunity to launch an anti-war charity fund."

Ye Chen hurriedly said: "If Miss He is interested in doing an anti-war charity fund, I can personally donate a sum of money to you. If Miss He, you can cooperate with me for a long time, then I can donate 30 million US dollars to your charity fund at one time."

As he spoke, Ye Chen added: "To be honest, for talents like you who graduated from finance majors to go to Syria to shoot war documentaries, this is like a donkey's lips not matching a horse's mouth. Professional talents should do professional things. Shooting documentaries can be done by professional documentary teams, while financial talents like you should try every means to create more wealth and more jobs for society."

He Zhiqiu replied: "What Mr. Ye said makes a lot of sense, but to be honest, the situation in Syria is relatively dangerous, because this place is in the war stage, and material supplies are seriously scarce. As for our personal safety, the government army here sent a few soldiers to protect us. Overall, it is relatively safe."

He Yuanjiang, who was on the side, heard this and was relieved.

Ye Chen said with a smile at this time: "As far as I know, it seems that their government army and the opposition have been fighting very fiercely, and their government army is short of money, food, and weapons and ammunition. They must be poorly trained all year round, and their combat level must be very low. In this case, they only sent a few soldiers to protect your safety, so I guess it is basically a mere formality. Moreover, you are all unarmed top students. If any accident really happens, you won't even have a chance to escape."

He Zhiqiu replied with some hesitation: "This... I think it shouldn't be that serious..."

Ye Chen smiled: "That's just what you think. If something really happens, it's useless for you to think so."

As he spoke, he remembered something and said: "I heard that in that chaotic place in the Middle East, mercenaries are very popular. You can fully hire dozens of well-equipped and well-trained mercenaries to protect your safety throughout the process, so that your safety will be more guaranteed."

He Zhiqiu said awkwardly: "The cost of mercenaries is too high. We consulted the Blackwater company in the United States. On the front line in Syria, their mercenary salary requirements are settled by the day. The cost for one person per day is 2,000 US dollars, and this does not include any weapon and equipment costs. Ammunition costs have to be calculated separately. If you need them to provide vehicles, the price is even more outrageous. We were already tight on budget, so we couldn't afford mercenaries at all."

Ye Chen smiled: "Look, you can calculate now how much significance the 20 million US dollars I just promised you has!"

"As long as you return to the country to help me, the 20 million US dollars can all be given to your team."

"If a mercenary needs 2,000 US dollars a day, your team can hire 20 mercenaries, which is 40,000 US dollars a day."

"Even if your team members have to stay there for half a year, calculated at 40,000 US dollars a day, it adds up to 6 million US dollars."

"Plus the cost of renting some armored vehicles and the like, 10 million US dollars is definitely enough."

"With the remaining 10 million US dollars, you can all invest in shooting. Only then can you use the best photography equipment, the best aerial photography equipment, and even when local armed forces are holding AK47s and conflicts break out on the ground, your team can spend money to rent armed helicopters from American mercenaries, take you to the sky and shoot from God's perspective. The effect shot in that way will definitely shock the whole world!"

He Zhiqiu was obviously moved, but she still hesitated and said: "What you said is indeed very reasonable, but... but the few of us promised each other when we set off that we would live and die together and advance and retreat together. If I leave at this time, it is equivalent to breaking our original agreement..."

Ye Chen smiled: "You don't have to have such a strong psychological burden. You are like a few friends driving a broken car to cross the desert. Now because there is no oil, you are stranded in the middle of the no-man's land. Due to the harsh environment and lack of supplies, it is impossible for you to stay in the car and consume it together. You always have to send one person out to find gasoline, so that everyone has a chance to survive."

"Although this person got off the car and left the team, she can bring back enough gasoline for other passengers, and can bring them better vehicles, equipment, and all kinds of supplies, allowing them to walk forward better, faster, and safer. Don't you think this is a good choice? Especially for those who are still in the car, it greatly improves their survival guarantee."

"So, I think you can discuss it with your companions. I believe they will also think that this is a very cost-effective deal!" ===== CHAPTER 1320 =====

"As long as you return to the country to help me, the entire twenty million US dollars can be given to your team."

"If a mercenary costs two thousand US dollars a day, your team can hire twenty mercenaries, which is only forty thousand US dollars a day."

"Even if your team members have to stay there for another half a year, calculating at forty thousand US dollars a day, it only comes to six million US dollars."

"Adding in the costs for renting armored vehicles and the like, ten million US dollars will definitely cover everything."

"With the remaining ten million US dollars, you can invest it all into the filming. Only then can you use the best camera equipment, the best aerial photography equipment, and even when local armed forces are having a firefight on the ground with AK47s, your team can spend money to rent an American mercenary armed helicopter, take you up into the sky to film from a God's-eye view; the effect produced that way will definitely shock the whole world!"

He Zhiqiu was clearly somewhat tempted, but she still hesitated and said: "What you say is indeed very reasonable, but... but when we few set off, we had already agreed to live and die together, and advance and retreat together. If I leave at this time, it would be equivalent to breaking our original promise..."

Ye Chen smiled and said: "You shouldn't have such a heavy psychological burden. This is just like a few friends driving a broken car together to cross a desert, and now because there is no fuel, you are stranded in the middle of a no-man's-land. Due to the harsh environment and lack of supplies, it is impossible for all of you to stay in the car and waste away; someone must be sent out to find gasoline so that everyone has a possibility of survival."

"Although this person got out of the car and left the team, she can have someone bring back enough gasoline for the other passengers, and can also bring them better vehicles and equipment, as well as all kinds of supplies, allowing them to move forward better, faster, and more safely. Don't you think this is a very good choice? Especially for those still in the car, it greatly improves their survival guarantee."

"Therefore, I think you can discuss it properly with your companions. I believe they will also definitely think that this is a very worthwhile deal!"
