Chapter 2381: If you want a return, you must pay first

James Shi Misi saw Ye Chen and was incredibly surprised, and at the same time, he had an excitement as if he had grabbed a life-saving straw in a desperate situation.

Ye Chen asked curiously: "Mr. Shi Misi, why are you here?"

Shi Misi subconsciously answered respectfully: "Back to Mr. Ye, the FDA has several clinical projects in cooperation with the Fei Medical Technology Center. I came here today to complete some routine work..."

After saying this, before Ye Chen could speak, he knelt on the ground and cried: "Mr. Ye, for some time, I have been especially hoping to meet you again, but I have never had the chance. I have been to Jin Ling several times, but the people at Nine Mysteries Pharmaceutical, and that Master Hong Wu, are unwilling to help me bridge the gap... That Master Hong Wu even took my introduction fee several times, but kept dragging it and not helping me handle things..."

Hong Wu, who was behind Ye Chen, curled his lips and said: "You foreign devil, you have bad intentions in wanting to see Mr. Ye. Do I not know you? You just want to find Master Ye to buy the Nine Mysteries Rejuvenation Pill and then take it back to the United States for reverse engineering, right? I'll just tell you clearly, I won't return a penny of the introduction fee you gave. If you have the ability, go sue me!"

Shi Misi was startled when he heard this, and only then did he realize that Hong Wu was following Ye Chen.

He hurriedly explained to Ye Chen: "Mr. Ye... I want to find you not for reverse engineering the Nine Mysteries Rejuvenation Pill. I am the person in charge of the FDA, and I sincerely want to introduce the Nine Mysteries Rejuvenation Pill into the US market for sale..."

As he spoke, he added: "Besides that, there is my son's illness... The twenty boxes of Nine Mysteries Rejuvenation Pills I bought from you before were all looted by the privileged class in the White House. There are very few Nine Mysteries Rejuvenation Pills that can really be used for my son's treatment. His situation had finally improved a little before, but because there has been no Nine Mysteries Rejuvenation Pill... so... so the situation has started to deteriorate again recently..."

Speaking of this, he couldn't help but choke up: "Mr. Ye, my son is only twelve years old, but he has been tortured by cancer for several years. If you don't save him, I'm afraid he won't survive this summer!"

Ye Chen looked at him and smiled slightly: "Shi Misi, Nine Mysteries Pharmaceutical was very much hoping to bring the Nine Mysteries Rejuvenation Pill to the United States for listing, but what happened in between, I think no one knows better than you, right?"

"It was your personal arrogance and prejudice that rejected our medicine on the spot. At the same time, you also made wild remarks to Manager Wei of Nine Mysteries Pharmaceutical. It was Manager Wei who saw that the child was really pitiful and didn't want him to die because of your arrogance and stupidity, so he left you a box of Nine Mysteries Rejuvenation Pills!"

"Later, you bought our medicine back for reverse engineering. Don't think I know nothing about this. The United States has always claimed to be the country that attaches the most importance to intellectual property and patent protection in the world, but the FDA actually took the lead with the US military to reverse engineer our drugs. This in itself is a shameless act without any professional ethics and without any concept of intellectual property protection!"

As he spoke, Ye Chen continued: "After that, Nine Mysteries Pharmaceutical captured a large number of American agents. These American agents were almost all sent to China by the US military and the US Central Intelligence Agency. What exactly they were trying to do by sneaking into Nine Mysteries Pharmaceutical, I don't need to say, you should be very clear, right?"

Shi Misi was ashamed.

As the person in charge of the FDA, he was actually very clear about this matter.

After proving that the Nine Mysteries Rejuvenation Pill had an excellent therapeutic effect on cancer, the White House very much hoped to master the core formula of this medicine.

In the United States, although everyone says they want to respect intellectual property, this kind of fart talk is completely seeing people and serving dishes.

If it was Harry Potter written by JK Rowling, although it is very profitable, it has no strategic value to the United States, so the White House would not be interested in this book, let alone commit any infringement on it;

But if other countries or other companies discovered any patent technology with strategic value, the White House would definitely be the first to think of ways to get this patent technology into their hands.

The magic of the Nine Mysteries Rejuvenation Pill is that no matter what kind of cancer the patient has, and no matter what stage the patient is in, even if it has metastasized throughout the body, or even caused organ failure and could die at any time, as long as they eat this medicine, they will improve immediately!

If this medicine is only used to make money, it will definitely be able to absorb money crazily all over the world. Whether it is the rich or the poor, once they get cancer, I am afraid they will try their best to hand over their life savings to Nine Mysteries Pharmaceutical;

If this medicine is regarded as a strategic material, it can not only make money from other countries but also use it as a bargaining chip to force the other party to make more concessions.

Therefore, the White House's first thought was that such a good thing must be obtained by them!

Shi Misi saw Ye Chen's dissatisfaction and choked up: "Mr. Ye, this matter has exceeded my control. I am only the person in charge of the FDA, responsible for the approval and supervision of drugs. As for whether the military and the CIA sent agents, I really don't have the ability to interfere..."

As he spoke, Shi Misi looked at Ye Chen and begged bitterly: "Mr. Ye, I only ask you to look at me as a father of a child with cancer and sell me some more Nine Mysteries Rejuvenation Pills, so that my son can survive..."

Ye Chen smiled indifferently: "Sorry, there is one thing I didn't tell you. Because the raw materials and production capacity of the Nine Mysteries Rejuvenation Pill are extremely limited, after careful decision by Nine Mysteries Pharmaceutical, the Nine Mysteries Rejuvenation Pill will give up the overseas market indefinitely. Listen clearly, it is giving up all overseas markets, not just targeting the United States."

In fact, the Nine Mysteries Rejuvenation Pill was specifically created by Ye Chen to stimulate the FDA.

At that time, the FDA had great hostility toward Chinese medicine. Therefore, Nine Mysteries Pharmaceutical's Nine Mysteries Stomach Powder, Nine Mysteries Liver Protection Tablets, and Nine Mysteries Gujin Powder were all very difficult to pass the FDA's audit.

Being unable to pass the FDA's audit did not just mean that these three drugs could not be listed in the United States.

Because many countries in Europe and America have borrowed very deeply from the US FDA in terms of medical standards.

If a drug passes the US FDA's audit, many European and American countries will open their doors to this drug.

But once this drug is rejected by the US FDA, the approval process of other countries for this drug will also be much stricter, and even like the FDA, they will refuse to approve it.

Therefore, Ye Chen used the Blood-Dispersing Heart-Saving Pill, paired with the Nine Mysteries Gujin Powder, to create the Nine Mysteries Rejuvenation Pill, which was regarded by the FDA as the number one special drug for cancer.

However, this Nine Mysteries Rejuvenation Pill itself was not a drug that could be truly mass-produced.

Moreover, the Nine Mysteries Rejuvenation Pill had already made Nine Mysteries Pharmaceutical famous. In this case, the mission of the Nine Mysteries Rejuvenation Pill had been successfully completed.

Hearing Ye Chen's words, Shi Misi's tears burst out, crying: "Mr. Ye, I heard that Nine Mysteries Pharmaceutical has free centralized treatment for terminal cancer patients with financial difficulties in China. I beg you, can you give my son a spot? My little Jimmy is really too pitiful. I can't bear to see him continue to suffer from cancer..."

Ye Chen said with a serious expression: "You said it yourself, Nine Mysteries Pharmaceutical's free medical treatment is aimed at terminal cancer patients with financial difficulties. The primary condition is financial difficulty. It seems that neither you nor your son meets the standard. Moreover, this activity is strictly speaking only aimed at Chinese patients. Countless Chinese patients are still waiting for this opportunity. How could I possibly give a precious spot to a foreigner who doesn't meet the standard at all? So sorry, I can't help you with this."

Shi Misi cried and said: "Mr. Ye, but if you don't help him, he will die soon. You can't watch a twelve-year-old child be taken away by cancer..."

Ye Chen nodded and said seriously: "Speaking of death, countless people die of illness every day, and among them, there are many children about the same age as your son, or even younger than him. We cannot, and do not have the ability to cure everyone."

"So Mr. Shi Misi, low-level strategies like moral kidnapping have no meaning to us!"

"Instead of moral kidnapping me here, why don't you ask pharmaceutical companies like Pfizer and Novartis why they still set the prices of drugs so high for so many children who die of leukemia every year in the world? Why don't they distribute the drugs to every child who has leukemia?"

"There are so many children in Africa who still can't fill their stomachs. If one hundred million American families each help one, they can let one hundred million African children be full and warm. If each family helps two, the hunger problem of African children would probably be completely solved. But why don't you do that?"

"Apple earns fifty billion US dollars a year. Why do they watch those fools sell their kidneys to buy an Apple phone? Why don't they just give them one?"

"Elon Musk's Tesla will break one million global sales this year, but there are so many people in the third world who can't afford cars. Why doesn't Tesla give the cars to them?"

Seeing Shi Misi speechless for a while, Ye Chen said indifferently: "In fact, you also know in your heart that the first goal of an enterprise is survival, and the second goal is profit. Whether it is a pharmaceutical company, a technology company, or a manufacturing company, they all need a lot of funds to support the R&D and production of products. If they are required to take out drugs for free, then no one will continue to develop new products in the future, and technology will lose the motivation to move forward. This is the market law."

As he spoke, Ye Chen added: "So let's get back to the point. Everyone is an adult. Let's skip tricks like moral kidnapping. It's too low."

Shi Misi's expression fell into despair.

Ye Chen remembered something and added: "Oh, by the way, if you really want to do something to save your son's life, first show enough sincerity."

Shi Misi blurted out: "I have enough, 100% sincerity!"

Ye Chen said indifferently: "Then I suggest you resign from your job, take your son to China, and first do some charity work in China to the best of your ability without asking for anything in return. If you are indeed dedicated, perhaps Nine Mysteries Pharmaceutical can give you a chance."

As he spoke, Ye Chen reminded: "But remember, I say this, it doesn't mean that if you pay, you will definitely get the return you want. In this society, if you want a return, you must pay first. What's more, you have to pay the price for your arrogance and prejudice against Nine Mysteries Pharmaceutical in the first place. If it weren't for Manager Wei returning good for evil and leaving you a box of Nine Mysteries Rejuvenation Pills, your son would probably have been killed by you already. So if the final result is disappointing to you, you should first find the reason from yourself!" ===== CHAPTER 2382 =====
