Chapter 2883

Ye Chen's tone was firm and cold, and his words were filled with murderous intent, making everyone present feel their scalps tingle, and making Todd Gilbert fear to the extreme.

Todd Gilbert naturally didn't want to die, nor did he want his family members to be killed like the family members of others he had killed. For a moment, he was extremely annoyed. Asking Ye Chen for so-called fairness had become the most regretful and stupid thing he had ever done in his life.

He was tearful, kneeling on the ground, constantly bowing his hands and kowtowing, praying to be forgiven by Ye Chen, but Ye Chen didn't give him any chance at all.

Seeing him not speaking, Ye Chen said: "Since you won't choose, I'll help you choose."

After saying this, he said to Wan Pojun beside him: "Handle it according to the first one I just said. Investigate clearly before doing it. Remember to take a video when you do it, and show it to him later. Let him see what it means to treat others the way they treated others. This guy has killed so many people, and he can't be spared himself. After you've dealt with his family, you can send him on his way."

Wan Pojun immediately nodded and said: "Don't worry, Mr. Ye, I will definitely handle it!"

When Todd Gilbert heard that even if his relatives were killed, he still couldn't escape death, his entire emotional state completely collapsed.

Although he was cowardly and afraid of death, he still gritted his teeth and said: "I... I choose the second one..."

At this point, one person dying was better than one person dying while dragging his family along to be buried with him.

Todd Gilbert could still distinguish the weight of 1 versus N+1.

At this moment, he could only sacrifice himself to protect his family; otherwise, judging by the things he had done, he feared not a single one of his family members would survive.

Ye Chen didn't intend to wipe out Todd Gilbert's family. He wasn't Su Shoudao, nor was he Su Ruoli during the period when she was dedicated to the Su family. Since Todd Gilbert chose the second one, he would fulfill his wish and also take the opportunity to remind these people, making them realize the price of betrayal and resistance.

So, he pointed to the ceiling fan and said to Todd Gilbert: "I'll have someone prepare a rope for you. End it yourself."

After saying this, he signaled to Qiangzai, who immediately found a very sturdy nylon rope from the kitchen downstairs.

Everyone was scared deathly pale. No one expected that Ye Chen would actually let Todd Gilbert end his life right here. Wouldn't that mean everyone would have to watch him commit suicide?

And Ye Chen indeed thought exactly that.

Since Todd Gilbert was seeking his own death, why not let these brutal New York gang members witness it with their own eyes?

It would be best if it could leave some indelible trauma in their hearts.

Soon, Qiangzai used the nylon rope to make a noose that would tighten as it was pulled under the ceiling fan, and then brought a chair and placed it under the ceiling fan.

Seeing that he had prepared all this, Ye Chen said to Todd Gilbert: "Everything is ready. Go on your way in peace."

Todd Gilbert was already limp all over. At this moment, he had no strength to get up. Ye Chen pointed to several gang members beside him and said coldly: "You guys, help him onto the chair and have him stand still!"

The people pointed at didn't dare to disobey and hurriedly lifted Todd Gilbert onto the chair.

At this time, the noose woven from nylon rope was placed right in front of Todd Gilbert's face.

One of them even took the initiative to put the noose around Todd Gilbert's neck. Todd Gilbert subconsciously wanted to dodge, but when he thought of the other choice Ye Chen had given him, he instantly gave up dodging.

With the noose around his neck, Ye Chen looked at him and asked: "Do you want to kick the chair yourself, or have someone help you?"

Todd Gilbert knew he was doomed, cried and said: "Mr. Ye, please help me..."

Ye Chen shook his head, not hiding his sarcasm, and said with disdain: "A person like you isn't worthy of me killing you with my own hands."

After saying this, he looked at the middle-aged man who had come with Todd Gilbert earlier and said indifferently: "You must be the second-in-command of the Desperados, right?"

The man nodded like a chicken pecking at rice, and said respectfully and diligently: "Hello, Mr. Ye, my name is Andrew Blunt, I'm the second-in-command of the Desperados..."

After finishing, he hurriedly added: "Mr. Ye, please don't think of me as the same type of person as Todd. He doesn't talk about underworld morality, and his methods are brutal. I have reminded him implicitly many times, but this person never knows how to repent and instead gets worse. Working under him, I'm powerless to change him..."

Todd Gilbert didn't expect his second-in-command to turn against him at this time, and scolded angrily: "Andrew, you ungrateful bastard, don't forget, it was I who promoted you step by step to your current position!"

Andrew nodded: "That's right, it was indeed you who promoted me, but that can't cover up the fact that you kill innocent people and break gang rules! Everyone in the gang has opinions about you, you just didn't know it! When those innocent people died at your hands, you should have expected that there would be a day when everyone would betray you!"

Ye Chen looked at Andrew, pointed to Todd Gilbert standing on the chair, and said indifferently: "From now on, you are the person in charge of the Desperados. You send your former boss on his way."

Andrew Blunt was slightly stunned, then immediately said respectfully: "Understood!"

Immediately, he looked up at Todd Gilbert, who was trembling on the chair, and said indifferently: "Todd, go on your way in peace. I hope God can forgive you after you die."

After saying this, he raised his right leg and kicked the chair under Todd Gilbert's feet hard.

The chair was kicked over, and Todd Gilbert's body fell instantly because it lost support.

Because of the sudden gravitational acceleration, the rope around his neck tightened instantly, strangling his neck tightly. He grabbed the noose with both hands and wanted to struggle, but he didn't expect that the more he struggled, the tighter the noose around his neck would become.

The complete sense of suffocation made him surprisingly clear-headed. He could clearly feel his trachea being strangled so he couldn't breathe at all, and he could also feel his whole body getting hotter, more numb, and at the same time more swollen.

Everyone watched with their own eyes as Todd Gilbert was executed right in front of them, and everyone was terrified. They had almost all experienced killing people, but they had never experienced this kind of retro execution-style killing.

Todd Gilbert, hanging in mid-air, struggled violently for a few minutes before the intensity of his body's struggle began to weaken significantly.

After five minutes, his body was left with only instinctive muscle twitches, and he had completely lost consciousness, and even lost basic vital signs.

After another few dozen seconds, even the muscle twitches of Todd Gilbert's body disappeared, and he turned into a corpse, spinning and swaying irregularly in mid-air, as if he wanted everyone to see the way he died.

Ye Chen said to Andrew at this time: "You take the body and deal with it."

Andrew said loudly without hesitation: "Please don't worry, Mr. Ye, I will definitely handle it properly!"

Ye Chen nodded, surveyed the room again, and said: "Time is almost up. Those who should go to Syria, prepare to set off immediately. Those who stay to continue operating the gangs, you can go back and start by finding an accountant. In the future, profits will be handed over once a week, and a work report will be made every two weeks. Remember my requirements: those who disobey in secret will be killed; those who hide income will be killed; those who line their own pockets will be killed; those who collude with the enemy in secret will be killed!"
