Chapter 3114

Because He Yuanjiang and Han Meiqing are both remarried, and both have lived overseas for many years, the process of this wedding is much simplified compared to the local rules in China.

The two of them don't have the process of welcoming the bride and sending the bride away; they just welcome guests directly at the hotel and then hold the wedding at an auspicious time.

The invited guests are not many. Besides the children and close friends of both sides, there are also several colleagues of He Yuanjiang at Jin Ling Finance and Economics Academy.

Ye Chen's work as a witness is not much; it is mainly the work of a host.

So, early the next morning, Ye Chen brought a suit and went out to Bai Jinhangong.

The reason for bringing a suit instead of wearing it directly is mainly because he didn't want his wife Xiao Churan to know that he came to attend Han Meiqing's wedding.

Arriving at the Sky Garden of Bai Jinhangong, it was not yet time for guests to arrive, and He Yuanjiang was busy here with the staff.

Seeing Ye Chen, he took the initiative to step forward and said: "Ye Chen, thank you for your hard work, coming over so early."

Seeing that his expression was a bit haggard, Ye Chen asked with concern: "Uncle He didn't rest well last night?"

He Yuanjiang nodded, sighed, and said: "Paul's uncle made a scene at home all night last night, making your Auntie Han and me physically and mentally exhausted."

Ye Chen asked curiously: "Why did Paul's uncle fly over from the United States at this juncture? What is he making a scene with you about?"

He Yuanjiang said: "He wants to split the business of the Shi Misi Law Firm in the United States from Paul's hands. To put it bluntly, he is here to divide the family property."

Ye Chen frowned and said: "Since the Shi Misi Law Firm was founded by Paul's father and Auntie Han, what qualifications does Paul's uncle have to split it?"

He Yuanjiang sighed: "The principle is that principle, but when they founded this law firm, Paul's grandfather once funded a start-up capital and also used some connections to help them. He felt that this could also be considered a kind of angel investment. Now Paul's uncle feels that Paul has left the United States, which is equivalent to actually leaving the Shi Misi family. Coupled with the fact that your Auntie Han is going to form a new family with me, he feels that Paul cannot take the entire Shi Misi Law Firm away, and must cut out the American part and return it to the Shi Misi family."

Ye Chen asked curiously: "What is the main business of the Shi Misi family? Is the family declining now?"

He Yuanjiang said: "I heard your Auntie Han say that the Steve family itself is a family of lawyers. Paul's grandfather was a well-known big lawyer. However, although this person had excellent professional ability, he did not come out to start a business, but became a senior partner in a top law firm in the United States, and then became a private lawyer for some celebrities and politicians in the United States. Paul's uncle also followed the same path as him, but the old man passed away a few years ago."

Ye Chen nodded and said: "It is estimated that the family is declining and wants to strive for some benefits from Auntie Han and Paul. There is no need to pay too much attention to such people. Since he came at this juncture, invite him to attend your and Auntie Han's wedding. After the wedding, you will go out for your honeymoon. He can go wherever he wants and do whatever he wants. Just ignore him."

He Yuanjiang nodded and said: "Your Auntie Han and I also plan to do this for the time being, but if he refuses to leave, Paul will probably have a headache, and he probably won't be easily dismissed this time."

Ye Chen smiled and said: "It doesn't matter, Uncle He. This is Jin Ling, not the United States. Even the famous Steve Rothschild came, doesn't he have to be polite to us? Not to mention that he is a nobody. Don't worry, if he really dares to find trouble, let him eat his own consequences."

As he spoke, Ye Chen asked him: "Did you and Auntie Han invite him to attend the wedding?"

He Yuanjiang said: "I don't want to invite him, because this guy looks like he is here to find fault. Inviting him to the wedding is equivalent to inviting a wolf into the house. But since he is here, out of politeness, we must invite him. And he himself heard about the wedding, so he rushed over. Even if we don't invite him, I guess he will come uninvited. He also promised to come to the wedding scene today. Paul arranged for him to stay at Bai Jinhangong last night. I guess he will come in the morning, but I guess he will definitely find an excuse to find fault when he comes."

Ye Chen nodded and said: "It's okay, let him come. As long as he dares to be presumptuous here, naturally someone can cure him."

As he spoke, Ye Chen added: "I will call Steve to come over again in a while. People in Jin Ling don't know Steve, but he will definitely know him."

He Yuanjiang asked subconsciously: "Is... is this appropriate?"

"There is nothing inappropriate." Ye Chen smiled: "He came to Jin Ling to be a grandson. It is not easy to have a chance to be a grandfather once. He must be very happy."

He Yuanjiang felt a little relieved, and Ye Chen asked again: "By the way, Uncle He, where are Auntie Han, Paul, and Zhichiu?"

He Yuanjiang said: "In the dressing room doing styling. Zhichiu is a bridesmaid today, and Paul is my best man."

"Very good." Ye Chen nodded and smiled: "Don't worry, Uncle He, today's wedding will definitely be a complete success."

While the two were talking, Han Meiqing, wearing a white wedding dress, walked out of the dressing room behind with the company of He Zhichiu and Paul. Seeing Ye Chen, He Zhichiu said very politely: "Hello, Mr. Ye."

Ye Chen nodded slightly to indicate, and Paul on the side was obviously a little nervous and restrained, saying: "Mr... Mr. Ye, hello..."

Seeing that Paul was not natural, Ye Chen guessed that he should have known his identity and was a little unaccustomed to it for a while, so he smiled and said: "Paul, why are you so restrained?"

Paul hurriedly said: "No, no, I heard my mother talk about you last night, and I didn't come back to my senses for a while."

Ye Chen smiled slightly and said: "Don't pay too much attention, everyone is a friend."

"Yes." Paul nodded hurriedly and said: "You are right, we are all friends!"

Han Meiqing said at this time: "The guests will be here in a while. Old He, let's go to the door and wait to welcome the guests."

"Alright." He Yuanjiang nodded and said to Ye Chen: "Ye Chen, we are going out to wait to welcome the guests, you three chat."

Ye Chen nodded and said: "Okay, Uncle He, you get busy first."

He Yuanjiang and Han Meiqing walked out of the hall holding hands. Paul looked at Ye Chen and whispered: "Mr. Ye, my mother said you are from the Yanjing Ye family, is it true?"

Ye Chen asked him with a smile: "Do you still doubt what Auntie Han said?"

Paul said: "No, no, I just think it's too incredible, so I want to confirm with you. Now it seems there is no need to confirm..."

Ye Chen smiled: "My identity does not affect our cooperation and friendship. In the future, Auntie Han will be responsible for the legal work of the new company. If you are too busy, just temporarily recruit your law firm. You are not allowed to refuse."

"That's no problem!" Paul said without hesitation: "The entire Shi Misi Law Firm is at your service at any time!"

Soon, a few guests began to arrive at the scene one after another. Ye Chen also changed into a suit and waited at the scene for the official start of the wedding.

Just when most of the guests had arrived and the atmosphere at the scene was harmonious, a blond American walked in and said in a strange tone: "I thought Professor He's connections were good, but I didn't expect his wedding to have so few guests. With just this little ability, he still wants to marry my sister-in-law. Is he determined to eat soft rice after marriage?"
