Chapter 3356: Stir Up the Heat

Han Meiqing had worked in the legal profession her whole life, whether in the United States or in China, and studying the latest case precedents was a very important part of her work.

Because she knew very well that the revision of legal provisions was a very lengthy and cautious matter, so if she wanted to see the latest legal direction and the latest judicial practice, studying precedents was the best way.

By studying these precedents, she also learned about the prevalence of ticket scalping nowadays.

She said to Ye Chen: "Such cases are becoming more and more common nowadays, but the penalty standards are still somewhat conservative; in the current entertainment market, premiums are getting higher and higher, the profit margins of ticket scalpers and the actual benefits they obtain are also increasing, but the penalties imposed on them are still relatively light. We cannot change judicial provisions in the short term, so we need to fundamentally find a way to eradicate this kind of ticket scalping that feeds on us like bloodsuckers."

Ye Chen nodded and said: "The tactic of ticket scalpers is to invest a large amount of manpower, material resources, and even technical strength right at the beginning to participate in the competition. Since that's the case, can we change our approach and not set up this kind of timed ticket grabbing?"

"Not do timed ticket grabbing?" He Yuanjiang asked Ye Chen: "Then how should it operate?"

"Lottery."

Ye Chen said very seriously: "We will first set up a registration channel, allowing everyone who wants to watch the performance to register for the lottery, then we will use a computer to randomly draw, and at that time we will have the notary department intervene to ensure our lottery is fair and just."

He Yuanjiang said thoughtfully: "This method is not bad; this way we can also avoid network congestion caused by a large number of users rushing to buy tickets, and each person registers with real name to participate in the lottery, each person gets only one chance, no matter how many people participate in the lottery, the opportunity is equal for everyone, and ticket scalpers cannot increase the success rate of certain people. Combined with full real-name registration throughout, scalpers also cannot obtain many people's identity information to increase their ticket-grabbing chances. Perfect."

Han Meiqing also nodded and said: "As long as the lottery process is fair and just, then the final result will definitely be absolutely fair. Such a simple method, why are they unwilling to use it?"

Ye Chen laughed and said: "It's not that they are unwilling to use it, but that they are reluctant to use it. People in business mostly lack scruples; they want to earn what they should earn and what they shouldn't earn. If you ask them to eradicate scalpers, they themselves are the biggest scalpers. You can't let them hit themselves, can you? We don't want to earn this money, so we have ways to eradicate this problem. As long as we don't have problems internally, the tickets won't have problems. Every fan can participate in the lottery based on ability and luck. If they win, they will be notified by SMS to pay the ticket fee through our official channels. If they pay within the specified time, the ticket is locked. If they don't pay within the specified time, these tickets will be taken back and re-drawn."

"But no matter who buys our tickets, they can only be used by the person themselves. When selling tickets, we must clearly state the rules. Once we find it's not the person themselves, we have the right to refuse entry and invalidate the ticket. If someone is willing to take the risk to transfer or purchase someone else's ticket, in the end it will be both person and ticket lost."

"Good!" He Yuanjiang said: "We will immediately start arranging this matter. Developing a lottery-drawing system in a short time is still quite simple."

After saying that, he asked Ye Chen: "Mr. Ye, when can we officially announce this matter? Once this matter is officially announced, it will definitely attract a lot of attention. Tavana's popularity is too high, so the preheating phase should start as early as possible."

Ye Chen thought for a moment and said: "If you want this matter to immediately appear on the domestic front-page headlines, the best way is not for us to officially announce it, but for Tavana's side to officially announce it. In recent years, false news about his concerts often appears, and nothing is as direct as an official announcement from the artist's side."

Saying that, he then said: "This way, you notify the internal management of Changying Automobile, especially the brand promotion team, to first tell our employees about this matter in internal meetings and remind them that without a confidentiality agreement, they cannot disclose it to the outside. This way, they will tell this news to their relatives and friends at the first opportunity, and even to cooperating media reporters;"

"But remember, do not reveal that there are a total of 20 concerts, just say one concert. Once it starts spreading from the public level, it will be ten to a hundred, a hundred to a thousand. Since people cannot immediately confirm the truth of the news, and Changying Automobile's official side has not made an official announcement, such rumors will definitely spread everywhere. This way, we can push the public's anticipation to the highest;"

"Once the public's anticipation rises, there will definitely be a large number of media trying every means to verify it. At that time, we estimate that among the top 10 hot searches on social media, about 5 will be related to discussing this matter. At that time, we also don't need to officially announce it; we can directly let Tavana's side release the news. The news of a total of twenty concerts will be released through Tavana's channels, and the popularity among domestic fans and social media will definitely explode."

"Good!" He Yuanjiang said without hesitation: "Then I will start working on this matter right now, striving to have the rumors spread through employees' personal social circles within the company by tonight."

……

It was past nine o'clock in the evening.

A rumor was spreading wildly in the social circles of Jin Ling's populace.

Many employees of Changying Automobile were excitedly telling their families and friends that the famous current female singer Tavana·Svet was extremely likely to cooperate with Changying Automobile and hold a personal concert in Jin Ling.

As soon as this news appeared, it immediately began to spread at high speed. Ye Chen had just arrived home when Xiao Churan said to him: "Husband, Ruolin just sent me a WeChat message saying there's a rumor that Tavana is about to come to Jin Ling to hold a concert!"

"Is that so?" Ye Chen asked feigning curiosity: "Could it really be such a coincidence? We just finished watching in Tokyo, and she's coming to hold a concert right at our doorstep."

"I also have my doubts." Xiao Churan said: "Ruolin told me that it seems like the newly established Changying Automobile wants to cooperate with Tavana, inviting her to hold a concert, but Changying Automobile's official side has not expressed any stance. However, thinking about it, this seems reasonable: Changying Automobile is rich and powerful, and it has just been established not long ago, exactly the time when it needs to promote itself well and establish brand influence. With their strength, inviting Tavana to hold a concert should not be difficult."

"That's also true." Ye Chen lightly nodded.

In fact, this is exactly the publicity effect he wanted. He wanted everyone to discuss this matter, and also wanted everyone to speculate on its truthfulness and feasibility. When everyone is discussing it but cannot get verification, this matter will spread more and more widely.

Xiao Churan laughed and said: "We have a local designer group in Jin Ling, and now everyone is discussing the ticket prices for the concert. Someone said that if this concert really takes place, the ticket prices should be much higher than Zong Zong's concert, maybe even the front-row tickets will cost six figures!"

Ye Chen said: "If this news is true, then we can also try to grab tickets when the time comes. You like her a lot, don't you? Being able to watch her concert at our doorstep will definitely feel different."

Xiao Churan shook her head and laughed: "How could we possibly grab tickets? A few years ago I started trying to grab Zong Zong's tickets, I tried so many times but never succeeded. Every time I went in on time, all the tickets were sold out, especially the good seats. But soon after, scalpers started appearing in friends' circles, selling tickets at several times or even more than ten times the original price. Tavana's fame is so great; I estimate this time will be even more outrageous."

Ye Chen smiled and said nothing. Now the whole city is spreading this rumor wildly, all interested people are discussing this matter, and his purpose has already been achieved. Starting tomorrow, perhaps people all over the country will start discussing this matter. Once the hype is stirred up, we can let Tavana officially announce it!
