Chapter 3369: Ice Released, Past Grievances Resolved

Matte Finkelstein felt a little uneasy inside.

He didn't know whether Ye Chen's words were sincere or meant to tease him.

After all, he had once offered one billion US dollars to buy Tawana's life, and this Mr. Ye, as the man behind him, now wanted him to reconcile with Tawana.

If he were sincere, it would still be fine to say, but if he had other plans, then he himself would probably not escape disaster.

Steve beside him saw his fearful expression and said with a smile: "Matte, don't use your petty heart to gauge Mr. Ye's magnanimity; if Mr. Ye wanted to punish you, you wouldn't even be alive today. I would have taken care of you in the United States."

Matte Finkelstein nodded repeatedly and said respectfully: "What Mr. Rothschild said is true; I also have no doubts about Mr. Ye, I just feel that seeing Tawana later will be somewhat awkward..."

"It's fine," Ye Chen said calmly: "No matter what your past was, or any interest disputes, now is the time to turn over this page and continue looking forward."

"Yes yes!" Matte Finkelstein's attitude was extremely respectful, and he repeatedly said: "Everything will follow Mr. Ye's instructions."

Soon, Tawana and Trevor, under the escort of the motorcade, arrived at the downstairs of Tianxiang Fu.

Many media outlets followed her motorcade from Buckingham Palace early this morning to the performance venue, and now, seeing it was approaching lunchtime, they didn't expect Tawana to actually take a car to Tianxiang Fu.

The media and reporters were all very surprised: Is this Tianxiang Fu really that delicious? Tawana had just eaten there last night, and now she came again at noon.

Because her every move is being watched by fans nationwide, the news of her coming to Tianxiang Fu for a meal quickly spread online, making Tianxiang Fu's hot search gain another entry.

Master Hong Wu came downstairs to personally receive Tawana and Trevor upstairs; upon entering the private room door, he saw two elderly white Western men.

Upon closer inspection, she was instantly shocked and terrified.

Because one of them was, to her, a nightmare-like existence: Matte Finkelstein.

The past between Tawana and Matte Finkelstein was not some emotional entanglement, but rather Matte Finkelstein, at that time on his private island, organized many private gatherings unknown to high society.

He was the initiator of these gatherings, and he invited people like Tawana, socialites, and even many top-tier billionaires known throughout the United States.

Matte Finkelstein's role was more like that of a high-end broker; top billionaires and top stars met at his parties, and there was even a possibility of sparking some psychological and physiological chemistry.

While these people sparked flames and took what they needed on his island, he also gained many valuable resources, enabling him to profit immensely through these celebrities and billionaires.

Since he played the role of broker between celebrities and billionaires, he naturally witnessed many people's secrets.

Tawana had also once participated in his gatherings, and at the gathering, many people had thrown out olive branches to her; moreover, due to her status in the entertainment industry, what she saw and experienced were almost exclusively the top-tier among those billionaires.

Moreover, Tawana's global influence is similarly top-tier; once she chooses to speak out what she knows, the impact of the matter will be infinitely amplified.

This is also why those people want to push Tawana to the brink of death.

Seeing Tawana's uneasy expression, Ye Chen smiled and said: "Tawana, you don't need to be so nervous; you are now in Huaxia, not in America and Japan, and here no one can harm you."

Tawana slightly steadied her mind and gently nodded.

Ye Chen invited her and Trevor to sit to his left, while Steve and that Matte Finkelstein sat to his right, thus placing himself in the middle, so as to slightly ease Tawana's mood.

Matte Finkelstein was also very embarrassed at this moment; he wanted to greet Tawana, but felt that speaking up abruptly was not appropriate.

He also wanted to apologize directly, but felt that here he was just a small fry; beside him, the elder brother Steve hadn't spoken, and the elder brother's elder brother Ye Chen hadn't spoken either; if he spoke up now, he would surely seem ignorant.

Trevor also recognized Matte Finkelstein at this moment; he had little contact with Matte Finkelstein, mainly because, before being with Tawana, his identity and status were fundamentally insufficient to be invited by Matte Finkelstein.

Upon recognizing Matte Finkelstein, he immediately gritted his teeth and said: "You bastard, how dare you be here?! Mr. Ye, he is the one who wanted to kill Tawana!"

Matte Finkelstein looked tense; Ye Chen smiled and said: "Trevor, I invited everyone here today not to let you argue or curse in front of me, but to let bygones be bygones."

As he spoke, he pointed to Steve and continued: "Besides, I have a new friend to introduce to you all; this is Mr. Steve Rothschild, heir of the Rothschild family."

Steve looked at the two and smiled: "Hello, I have already seen many reports about you two in the news media."

Tawana and Trevor, since being together, have always been the focus of global media attention; sometimes, even if you don't have a gossipy heart, social media will still push you those things between them.

Upon hearing that this was Steve Rothschild, Trevor and Tawana were both so startled they couldn't speak for a moment.

The Rothschild family, whether in the American mainland or throughout the Western world, has extremely high fame and strong mystique; this family has always protected itself very well, and everyone knows this family is extremely powerful, even unmatched, but when one truly searches for those Rothschild family members who can be searched, they seem to be not particularly outstanding.

This is because the core Rothschild family never shows its face, while those surnamed Rothschild who are pushed out to show their faces are often merely collateral branches.

Precisely for this reason, many conspiracy theorists even speculate that the Rothschild family is merely a hoax that has been spreading misinformation for over a hundred years; otherwise, why is there no one surnamed Rothschild in the top 100 of the world's richest list?

But those who have had substantial contact with upper society know that the Rothschild family is indeed a real super aircraft carrier.

Therefore, upon hearing that the person before them was the second-in-command of the Rothschild family, Trevor and Tawana were each more nervous than if they had seen the president.

Moreover, they didn't expect that the second-in-command of the Rothschild family would actually appear in Jin Ling, at Tianxiang Fu where Ye Chen had invited them to dine yesterday!
