Chapter 611

In Kong Delong's eyes, the Rejuvenation Pill Ye Chen took out was indeed just an inconspicuous strength-boosting pill.

Even the Niuhuang Angong Pill, which was hyped to a sky-high price in the Traditional Chinese Medicine community, cost at most a few hundred thousand for the most expensive top-grade one.

Taking a step back, even if this so-called Rejuvenation Pill of Ye Chen's was a Niuhuang Angong Pill, so what?

Compared to his ruby necklace worth nearly 130 million RMB, it was truly a world of difference.

So at this moment, Kong Delong felt in his eyes that he had already won against Ye Chen.

After Kong Delong finished speaking arrogantly, he originally wanted to accept everyone's praise, but he didn't expect that everyone's gaze toward him was like they were caring for a mentally disabled person.

This couldn't be blamed on him, because he was the only person at today's birthday banquet who didn't know how much the Rejuvenation Pill was worth.

Although everyone present felt Kong Delong was mentally disabled, he was, after all, the third young master of the Yanjing Kong family, so no one dared to express it directly.

However, Kong Delong could still see a clue from everyone's eyes.

He couldn't help but be a bit puzzled: What's the situation? Could this so-called Rejuvenation Pill really be that valuable? Impossible, just this kind of junk, how much could it be worth?

At this time, Ye Chen looked at him and smiled slightly, saying: "Young Master Kong, how much do you think my pill is worth?"

Kong Delong snorted coldly and said with disdain: "In my opinion, at most, at most 100,000!"

Ye Chen smiled: "Since that's the case, why don't we just hold a small, impromptu auction right here!"

Kong Delong frowned and asked: "Auction? What do you mean?"

Ye Chen smiled: "It means taking our two items out for auction right here to see which one has a higher final transaction price. How about that?"

Kong Delong snorted coldly: "What the hell kind of joke are you playing with me? This string of ruby necklaces of mine is a birthday gift for Miss Wanting; how can I take it out to sell?"

Ye Chen said: "Alright then, and assuming your necklace is truly worth 20 million dollars, according to our bet, doesn't it mean that as long as my pill sells for more than your necklace, it means I've won?"

Kong Delong laughed loudly: "You surnamed Ye, don't tell me you want to auction that so-called Rejuvenation Pill of yours here? Do you really think your bullshit Rejuvenation Pill can sell for more than 20 million dollars?"

As he spoke, Kong Delong mocked again: "And you are truly filthy; even if your Rejuvenation Pill is worthless, it's still a birthday gift you gave to Miss Wanting; how can you take it out to auction? Isn't this way of playing too shameless?"

Song Wanting became anxious upon hearing this and blurted out almost subconsciously: "Kong Delong, I don't allow you to talk about Master Ye like that!"

Everyone present was shocked; no one expected that Song Wanting would directly confront Kong Delong to defend Ye Chen.

Kong Delong's expression was also very stunned. Did Song Wanting take the wrong medicine? Someone gave her such a shitty thing, and she defended the other party like this!

He gave her such an expensive ruby necklace, and she didn't even give him a good look.

However, Kong Delong didn't know at all how grateful Song Wanting was to Ye Chen at this very moment.

Seeing her beloved being mocked and ridiculed by Kong Delong, Song Wanting naturally had to speak up to defend him.

At this time, Ye Chen smiled indifferently, took out another Rejuvenation Pill from his pocket, and said with a smile: "Look, I have plenty of these. The Rejuvenation Pill I gave to Miss Wanting naturally cannot be taken out for auction again. What I want to auction is this one I have now!"

As he spoke, Ye Chen stood up and said to everyone around: "Everyone surely knows what the Rejuvenation Pill is, so I won't introduce it much here. Let's just start the auction simply and crudely."

The people present were almost crazy when they heard that the Rejuvenation Pill was really going to be auctioned.

This was a magical medicine they dreamed of but couldn't reach; Ye Chen had never taken out even one to sell, so this thing was simply a priceless treasure.

The people who came today were all people of status and wealth; who wouldn't want to seize this opportunity to buy a Rejuvenation Pill and regain their youth?

So everyone was eager to try, each thinking in their hearts that even if they had to pay a huge price, they would buy this Rejuvenation Pill back.

At this time, Ye Chen looked at Kong Delong and asked with a smile: "Young Master Kong, the current exchange rate of RMB to USD should be about 1 USD to 7 RMB, right? That is to say, your ruby necklace is only worth 140 million RMB, right?"

Kong Delong said proudly: "Looks like your math is not bad! That's right, it's 140 million RMB. You probably haven't seen so much money in your whole life, right? Are you scared?"

Ye Chen smiled slightly: "Scared? That's impossible. I, Ye Chen, could never be scared in my life."

After finishing, Ye Chen didn't bother with Kong Delong anymore, but looked around and said to the people beside him: "Everyone, let me briefly state the auction rules. Doesn't Young Master Kong think my Rejuvenation Pill is not as expensive as his ruby necklace? Since that's the case, my starting price will be set at 150 million RMB."

"What?!"

Kong Delong heard that Ye Chen wanted to set the starting price of the Rejuvenation Pill at 150 million RMB, his eyes widened instantly, and he blurted out: "You surnamed Ye, are you sick in the head? Just that bullshit thing of yours, and you dare to sell it for 150 million RMB? Do you think everyone else is a fool?"

As soon as the words fell, Old Master Song immediately raised his hand and said: "Master Ye, I am willing to pay 150 million!"

Kong Delong was stunned upon hearing this.

He looked at Old Master Song and asked coldly: "Old Master Song, are you intentionally trying to defend this surnamed Ye and make things difficult for me? I came to the Song family this time with full sincerity. If you are so insincere, then don't blame me, Kong Delong, for turning against you!"

Old Master Song's expression was awkward; he wasn't bidding to defend Ye Chen, he really wanted this Rejuvenation Pill.

He was someone who had personally experienced the magical medicinal power of the Rejuvenation Pill; for him, no amount of Rejuvenation Pills was too many. Let alone 150 million, even 1.5 billion he would be willing to buy, and even if there were ten, he would be willing to buy them all at once.

1.5 billion for one, buying 10 would only be 15 billion RMB; for the Song family, it wouldn't be enough to hurt their foundation, but if these 15 billion were spent, Old Master Song might live for several more decades. In that case, who knows how much more money the Song family could earn? So this deal was absolutely worth it.

But upon hearing Kong Delong's words, he was also hesitant, because he didn't want to directly offend Kong Delong publicly; after all, that would be equivalent to making a powerful enemy for the Song family.

At this time, Ye Chen smiled and said: "Old Master Song, to avoid suspicion, you don't participate in the auction for this pill. Let people outside the Song family participate, lest Young Master Kong thinks you are helping me cheat."

Old Master Song, seeing that Ye Chen had said so, had to say regretfully and respectfully: "Since Master Ye has given instructions, then this old man will not participate in this auction."

Kong Delong's expression softened a bit; it seemed the Song family was still sensible, and besides the Song family, he believed no one else would be interested in this pill with a starting price as high as 150 million.

Just as he had breathed a sigh of relief, Li Tailai, the richest man in Haicheng sitting at the same table, raised his hand excitedly and said: "Master Ye, since Old Master Song has abstained, then I, Li, am willing to pay 150 million!"
