intent.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>He was not angry at the angels’ death but could not stand that someone was trying to influence his behavior.  The dragons, saintesses, and angels unleashed a barrage of attacks toward the glowing lotuses.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Elemental breaths, moonforce, and scorching energy surged forward in a powerful strike.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>But to their dismay, the tranquil water acted as a buffer, dampening the force of their attacks.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>What should have traveled vast distances barely made it halfway to the lotuses.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>“We can’t reach them!” one of the saintesses yelled, panic rising in her voice.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>While the others struggled, Cain remained unaffected.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>His Power of Order granted him absolute control over his emotions, mind, and will, making him immune to the lotus flowers’ compulsion.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>His gaze was steady, filled with a meaningful light as he analyzed the power radiating from the flowers.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Cain could intervene and stop the growing threat but did not.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>The ones suffering the most were the followers of the Sun Church.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>There was no reason for him to act just yet.  Not even a minute after the first two angels were consumed, a third dove into the water, his expression filled with desire, showing no resistance as the lotus roots wrapped around him.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>His life was drained just as quickly, and his body was reduced to dust as the lotuses fed on him.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>The humming grew more potent, and the lotuses’ power became more pronounced.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>The angels’ numbers began to dwindle rapidly.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>Two more leaped into the water, their minds completely overwhelmed by the compulsion.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\u003Cp>The same grim fate awaited
