Chapter 101: Sai Fu Luo La 17
"What should we do!", Yi Yang had just been pulled from the mouthparts by Ji Jiangci, his body covered in disgusting sticky slime, he wore a grief-stricken face, mouth corners downturned, tears already streaming down.
Bao Jing also looked utterly lifeless, wings folded, he lay limp on the ground, silently awaiting death's arrival.
After all, Ye Xi'an is dead; none of us can survive.
He bears no grudge; even if Ye Xi'an's death wouldn't kill him via the mental mark, he would still commit suicide.
"Look at your behavior!"
A mature woman's voice rang out, bright and clear; even without seeing the speaker, everyone knew it must be a confident, radiant beauty.
Qiu Yi was carried down from the sky by Fu Tu, his black leather coat flapping in the air, a pair of long legs drawing attention, but Bao Jing and Ji Jiangci didn't glance at them; Yi Yang instinctively grabbed Ji Jiangci's coat edge to shield his exposed brother and buttocks.
It turned out she hadn't left earlier; instead she had gone to a higher place nearby, constantly monitoring the situation here.
At the moment Ye Xi'an was swallowed into its belly, her heart gave a sudden jolt, worrying for her yet hoping things would unfold as she had imagined.
I never expected the mutant vines to really die, but Ye Xi'an actually succeeded.
Qiu Yi's emotions were indescribably excited, his blood boiling; he wanted to rush to Ye Xi'an's side and praise her, "Sis, you're awesome!"
But thinking of his earlier act of abandoning Ye Xi'an and fleeing, Qiu Yi didn't immediately go back to find her, feeling some guilt and shame.
All she wanted was to see Ye Xi'an and the others leave safely, then she would find a way back to Zhu Shen Xing.
But Bao Jing and the others are too weak; Ye Xi'an killed the mutant vines, so why haven't these people rescued her yet?
After waiting anxiously, she still couldn't help coming back; if Ye Xi'an blamed her later, she would accept it.
She jumped down from Fu Tu's embrace, her black leather stiletto heels planting firmly on the ground, her gaze contemptuous of the three beastmen ready to await death.
"I never expected Ye Xi'an, so brave a person, to have taken in you three males who give up so easily! It's practically an insult to her."
Qiu Yi's words were self-righteous, completely ignoring that the first one to flee was herself.
She kicked Yi Yang aside imperiously, waved to summon her family's four members onto the field: "Make way, let my people come."
The four remaining males of Qiu Yi's family stood in a row, unleashing full firepower at the same spot on the mutant vines; various abilities bathed the land in a riot of colors.
The light faded, and everyone stared at the mutant vines' unscathed outer skin, their jaws dropping in shock.
Qiu Yi couldn't even care about the brutality of being slapped by reality; right now she furrowed her brows, worried Ye Xi'an might truly not be able to come out.
At that moment, a small golden-yellow blade tip suddenly sprouted from the base of the vine, sliding along its texture to smoothly slice a thin slit; green juice gushed out like a waterfall, a pungent odor filling everyone's nostrils.
Yi Yang pulled off Ji Jiangci's outer coat and tied it around his waist; he and Bao Jing rushed forward in delight, each gripping one side of the slit and pulling hard, the green liquid mixing as two naked figures rolled out, their pale bodies dazzling to the eye.
Fortunately Lin Zhi Jing had already heard Qiu Yi's voice; before he even stood up, he had used his ability to forge a metallic‑skin fashionable outfit for himself and Ye Xi'an.
"Honey! Mmm~", Yi Yang had already burst into tears of emotion, he lunged forward to hug Ye Xi'an, not minding her body covered in disgusting, pungent slime; he just wanted to hold his wife tightly, feeling her real warmth.
Bao Jing's chest heaved violently; the person he thought he had lost returned unharmed, leaving him momentarily overwrought with emotion.
"All right, all right, I'm fine.", Ye Xi'an's body was riddled with wounds everywhere; whenever Yi Yang touched her it caused piercing pain, although she could self‑repair, she still needed a moment.
She gently patted Yi Yang's back, knowing he must have been terrified.
