Chapter 76: with translation of chapter title
An'an, later when you go in, just pass the clothes out.
Ye Xi'an frowned: "If I pass all the clothes out, what will I wear?"
Bao Jing picked up the robe on the bed, holding it by the shoulders with both hands, showing its style: "Wear this. It absorbs water well; when you come out, I'll dry your hair."
What about inside?
This question silenced everyone instantly; Bao Jing looked at Ji Jiangci and asked: "Ji Jiangci, what are you wearing inside?"
Nothing.
He had thrown away the old patch‑filled underwear; the new pair was in Ye Xi'an's space, so he came out bare, who would have thought someone would ask if he was wearing anything?
Then An'an, you don't wear anything either; we're all your husbands, no need to worry." Bao Jing's eyes darted, he added: "After I finish washing later, I won't wear anything either.
Ye Xi'an grew more ashamed hearing that, she hurriedly rushed into the bathroom without looking back and locked the door.
The light in the bathroom was a blinding white shining from above onto Ye Xi'an's body; even though it was such a deadly light, her face remained terrifyingly beautiful.
Ye Xi'an took off her clothes, looking at her glowing self in the mirror; her feminine head of dreamy purple hair covered the beauty of her chest, revealing only her delicate collarbones and slender waist; her oval face was full of features, skin white with a hint of red, her light‑purple pupils seemed filled with sparkling starlight, shimmering and captivating.
Even Ye Xi'an herself couldn't help falling in love with herself; she caressed her face, unable to stop thinking of all sorts of random things.
Does Bao Jing also like himself? If so, does he like this face, or her?
An'an?
A soft call from Bao Jing came from outside the door; Ye Xi'an then remembered she had to pass the clothes out, she hurriedly picked up her clothes and walked toward the door, but suddenly slipped on the wet floor and was about to fall.
Outside, Bao Jing called for a long time, but there was no movement inside; he felt something was off.
Ji Jiangci also walked over, holding a pile of underwear: "What's wrong?"
Bao Jing said nothing, his face solemn; without waiting for him to think further, he stepped back two steps and slammed the door open, but Ye Xi'an's figure was gone from the bathroom, only a heap of discarded clothes remained on the floor.
An'an is missing!
When Ye Xi'an fell, her body reacted faster than her mind, activating her ability to teleport herself to a safe place; as she dropped, she happened to land on a large bed.
The bed, of unknown material, had superb elasticity; Ye Xi'an was bounced up, barely managed to stop, and almost got swallowed by the mattress.
Sitting up, she realized what was beneath her was a water bed.
The room was filled with the fresh scent of sea salt; the four walls were painted sky‑blue, decorated with shimmering fish scales and shells; above the water bed hung a dreamy white gauze curtain that trailed down to the floor, blending with the soft yellow fluffy carpet, like sea‑foam washing onto the beach.
Where is this?
Ye Xi'an frowned at the unfamiliar surroundings, knowing she had definitely teleported again.
She carefully got off the bed, wrapped the snow‑white bedsheet around herself, and began to assess the situation.
Passing by the bathroom, she saw the light on and heard water running; someone seemed to be showering inside.
Tiptoeing to the door, she held her breath and opened it; outside lay an endless corridor carpeted in vivid red.
The decor matched that of the hotel she was staying in; it seemed she was still in the hotel, merely having teleported to another room.
Just as she was about to go out and find her own room, a strong, snow‑white arm suddenly wrapped around her waist; before she could react, she was pulled into the room and the door slammed shut behind her.
Ye Xi'an's back was against the wall as she was lifted by the throat.
Her neck felt as if clamped by pliers, completely unlike Bao Jing's choke; this one was a genuine strangulation, and she could barely breathe.
Ye Xi'an painfully furrowed her brows; the veins on her forehead bulged slightly from the blocked blood flow.
She barely opened her eyes to look at the person choking her.
A pair of beautiful peach‑blossom eyes, even when wearing a fierce expression, made it hard to feel disgust.
He was a male of extreme beauty.
Lan Qi narrowed his eyes dangerously; though he smiled, his voice was full of malice, he complained offhandedly with a hint of allure: "I've already fled to San Huan to live, yet there are still stubborn females trying to take advantage of me."
Upon hearing this, Ye Xi'an quickly waved her hands; she really didn't want to take advantage of him.
Lan Qi understood her gesture: "You mean you don't want to take advantage of me?"
Ye Xi'an hurriedly blinked, then patted Lan Qi's arm; if he didn't let go, she would die.
"I don't want to take advantage of you." Lan Qi slowly opened those eyes, revealing the soul‑shaking pink pupils within; his red‑tinged lips uttered icy words: "I don't believe it."
He had never seen a female who didn't want him from childhood to adulthood.
Ye Xi'an was nearly furious; what kind of person is he, does he think he's some grandpa Mao that everyone likes?
"You say if I choke you to death here today, would anyone know?"
Lan Qi's grip gradually tightened, as if he really meant to choke Ye Xi'an to death.
Ye Xi'an felt a chill all over; realizing she needed a plan or she might truly meet her end here, she calmed herself and extended her mental power, discovering she was on the 56th floor, the hotel's top level.
After a moment of fumbling, she finally found her room; she flung her eyes open and gave Lan Qi a nasty smile.
Lan Qi was shaken by her smile; it was the first time he had seen a female provoke him with such a taunting grin, but the next second he could no longer smile.
Just before teleporting, Ye Xi'an gathered strength and kicked, hitting him square in the groin; Lan Qi winced, instantly releasing his hold on her, painfully clamping his legs and covering his crotch, his whole body curling up like his expression.
After he finally recovered, he wanted to kill Ye Xi'an again, but found the room empty.
If it weren't for the clear pain in his groin, he would have thought he was dreaming—how could a perfectly fine person just vanish into thin air?
In the hotel, Bao Jing and Ji Jiangci had already reached the front desk, repeatedly asking to review the surveillance.
But the cameras only captured the hallways of each floor, with no trace of Ye Xi'an ever appearing.
"How could this be?" Bao Jing couldn't believe the result; he had personally seen Ye Xi'an enter the bathhouse, which had no windows or openings, so how could she suddenly disappear? Even the cameras didn't catch it.
For a moment he felt lost, his whole body trembling uncontrollably; he had lost Ye Xi'an.
Ji Jiangci, however, remained relatively calm: "We're still alive and well, which shows the wife is temporarily safe; don't be too nervous."
