Chapter 1: Please Call Me a Troll
"Boring, so boring..."
Ding Hao waved his hand, dispersing the bustling little world before him. The living beings within that world drifted away like yellow sand, vanishing completely. There was no resistance, nor was there any accident, because this was not a real world to begin with.
As the aggregate of all Genies in the world, the Prime Genie sitting atop the Sea of Wishes, Ding Hao himself could traverse multiple worlds, finding some amusement for himself while fulfilling wishes in every sense of the word.
Unfortunately, he had found a bit too much amusement; the Prime Gods of multiple multiverses launched attacks on Ding Hao simultaneously. Ding Hao did not lose, but when the last anchor point was cleared by the Creation Dragon King, he had, in a sense, lost.
The disappearance of the anchor points would not have any impact on Ding Hao himself, but as a Genie, he could only influence and observe other real worlds through those anchor points. With the anchor points gone, Ding Hao, born in this lonely, endless void, could only fall into a state of boredom.
Ding Hao had thought about becoming a Creation God himself, but the endless void had no basis for the existence of worlds. If he were to build one from scratch, that wouldn't be finding amusement—that would be looking for trouble, and that was very uninteresting.
After drifting for who knows how long, finally, Ding Hao felt a faint call from another universe. The quality of this call was very poor; the caller's personal strength, willpower, and other aspects could not compare to Ding Hao's former anchor points. However, he had no choice now.
"Heh! A new world! This time I swear, I will be a good Genie, hmm, in every sense!"
Ding Hao pointed his finger at the world coordinates carried within that call, a point of spirituality crossing the endless void, arriving in an instant.
"Hey! Friend, today is your lucky day. A Genie has favored you; you may now make three wishes!"
Ding Hao said quite magnanimously to the man who had fallen to the ground before him. Although this man's clothes were tattered, his face was cunning, and the scent of his soul was nauseating, a Genie in a good mood is very generous!
Sanders—as long as there was profit to be made, "doing evil" was his synonym. He sounded like a formidable villain, but in Hell's Kitchen, he was just one of many small-time thugs in one of many gangs.
Ten minutes ago, Sanders' gang had been ambushed. Their boss, who had been indulging in debauchery, had a bloody hole appear in his head in an instant—the same style as that man who went on an outing in a Lincoln, where you could see straight through from the front to the back.
As an inconspicuous little guy in the gang, relying on his low priority, Sanders had successfully kept his life until now. Unfortunately, this "superhero" was the type to root out evil completely. His life was like a candle in the wind, but now, a turning point seemed to have appeared.
Sanders' gaze kept jumping to the bullets suspended in the air. Behind these bullets frozen in mid-air, there were faint ripples displacing the air, just like scenes from a movie.
I survived?!
No! I've hit the jackpot!
Sanders' eyes grew hot as he looked at Ding Hao. In an instant, he accepted the meaning of what a Genie represented. Trembling with excitement, he crawled up from the ground.
Ding Hao held a small golden water pot in the palm of his right hand, with a wick poking out slightly from the spout. A faint yellow mist gushed out from the spout, cascading down to form Ding Hao's current spiritual body.
Making a wish, after all, requires a bit of ritual. Although it wasn't very meaningful, it looked cool!
"Hey, you can make your wish now."
Ding Hao scanned the battlefield and said casually to Sanders. Honestly, if not for the effect of the anchor points, the shattered wine glasses and scattered corpses here would have been more attractive to Ding Hao than this guy. This is the real world~ how wonderful!
"Great Genie, I wish for him to die!"
Sanders pointed at the killer, who was also frozen, and shouted loudly. He knew this person's codename: the famous Punisher. But today, the Punisher was going to die at the hands of Sanders!
"Oh, that's simple."
Just as Ding Hao was about to fulfill Sanders' wish, Sanders suddenly reacted. Greed flooded his brain, clouding his reason, and he immediately changed his mind.
"No, no, no, Great Genie, that's not my first wish. Let me think again!"
Now, Ding Hao was a bit interested. Watching Sanders, who was jumping up and down like a monkey, pacing back and forth, thinking about how to maximize his profit, Ding Hao knew why he could hear his voice.
The level of this person's greed, even if placed in the Abyss, would be top-tier. Greedy enough to break through the oppression of death, even daring to go back on his word in front of a Genie—this was not something an ordinary person could do.
"I want to become a god! If that's not possible, then the strongest person beneath a god will do!"
After racking his brains, Sanders clapped his hands hard and looked at Ding Hao with eyes full of desire.
What a boring wish... what a stupid statement...
Ding Hao's interest vanished instantly. He casually tossed the lamp pot in his hand, and Sanders was sucked into it in an instant, along with the look of frozen expectation on his face.
"I announce that you are now a Genie," Ding Hao said afterward. "Your first wish has been fulfilled."
Trapped in the lamp pot, Sanders' sense of security was shattered by the sudden accident. Panic occupied his brain, and his second wish blurted out: "No, no, no, I want to change back to how I was!"
"Fine, one left. Hurry up," Ding Hao released Sanders.
Greedy people are sometimes interesting to Ding Hao, but a guy who is greedy and brainless is very boring. Moreover, Ding Hao had heard this type of person and this type of wish too many times before; there was no novelty at all.
The reappearing Sanders patted his chest in a panic. He seemed to realize that the Genie wasn't actually easy to talk to, but as soon as he left a dangerous situation, the word "greed" would always occupy his brain.
"My last wish is for three more wishes!"
Sanders gritted his teeth and stomped his foot, finally deciding to take a gamble.
Ding Hao's good mood and last bit of patience were completely gone. With a wave of his right hand, Sanders' thoughts were stretched infinitely long. His new three wishes would be buried by time, with no day of escape.
The wish-making session ended, and Ding Hao had gained a low-quality anchor point. His target turned to the Punisher, who had regained his ability to move.
"Hey, want to make a wish? Three wishes, all free~" Ding Hao twitched his eyebrows, the lamp pot floated back to his right hand, and he issued his invitation to the Punisher, Frank.
Frank took two steps back. Did he take him for a fool? Sanders had turned into that demented state right before his eyes. This Genie before him, even if he possessed the abilities of myths and legends, was definitely not a proper Genie. ===== CHAPTER 2 =====
