Chapter 144
, The Genie Starting from Marvel
After Thor and Loki finished talking, Loki looked at Constantine and made a throat-slitting gesture, threatening him.
Thor patted Loki. "Be polite. Don't think about your pranks at a time like this!"
Loki was speechless for a moment. He used to think it was a good thing that Thor had no brains, but now that they were allies, Loki wished Thor had some brains.
However, this certainly wasn't something that could be changed in a day or two; after all, Odin hadn't been able to change it after thousands of years of education.
"Heimdall! Take me away!" Loki shouted loudly toward the sky.
*Swish*, colorful light appeared in the sky—that was the light of the Bifrost. Jane's eyes lit up immediately, and her body subconsciously began to look for her equipment, but unfortunately, none of those devices were activated now.
The next second, the power of the Bifrost directly broke through the Anti-Magic Field and shrouded Loki. In the brilliant light, Loki disappeared from everyone's sight.
Constantine smacked his lips; there was no way to stop this kind of departure, but at least he had achieved the initial goal of coming over.
Stupid
After putting away the demon statue, Constantine prepared to leave. At this moment, Thor ran in front of him.
"That... I apologize to you on behalf of my brother. He is the God of Mischief and sometimes really doesn't understand the situation." Thor actually looked a bit like a big brother at this moment.
"Are you sure it's him who doesn't understand?!" Constantine couldn't help but ask back.
Thor nodded. "He's still quite young, only a thousand years old. I hope you don't mind too much."
While speaking, Thor secretly looked at Jane. It seemed he didn't care about Constantine's opinion at all, but was afraid that this matter would make Jane feel disgusted.
Constantine also looked at Jane. "Is he your boyfriend?"
Jane was still a bit confused. Under Thor's expectant gaze, Jane hesitated. "Not yet."
"Regardless of whether he is or not, I suggest you take him to see a psychiatrist," Constantine said.
"His brain circuit is just a bit different from most people..." Jane explained halfway, only to find that even she couldn't convince herself with this statement. She sighed. "I'll take him."
When Thor heard this, his whole person suddenly became cheerful, though he didn't know what he had interpreted that sentence as.
Constantine had originally wanted to say something else, but seeing Thor's expression, "Forget it, I won't argue with a fool, otherwise others will think I'm a fool too."
Thor whispered in Jane's ear, "Fortunately my brother left, otherwise he would definitely have started a fight if he heard that."
Jane gave Thor a meaningful look. "You really think so?"
"Of course, when we were in Asgard, things like this always happened," Thor answered seriously.
"... I have to see what good doctors there are in New York." Jane took out her phone and started searching.
Constantine tucked the Hell Holy Shotgun back under his cloak, then came to Blade and took out a file bag. "Brother, can you do me a favor?"
Blade took the file bag. "What is this?"
"My resume. I want to join you guys," Constantine said seriously. As long as he jumped ship to the Genie side, he could ignore Mephisto. Then he could collect a salary without doing any work—perfect!
"This..." Blade didn't know how to reply for a moment; he didn't even know what the recruitment standards of the Genie Mutual Aid Society were. "I'll help you take it to the others to see."
"Many thanks," Constantine said.
A moment later, Jane and Thor left this small base together, and Constantine went back to his hotel with a cigarette in his mouth. Suddenly, only the S. H. I. E. L. D. people were left here.
Besides, Mjolnir had been put back in its original position by Jane, and Thor didn't try again; he seemed to feel it didn't matter for the time being, just like a child whose attention had been drawn away by other things.
"Aren't you going to stop him?" Blade asked Coulson, who was writing furiously beside him.
"Of course not, because he really is an alien prince," Coulson replied. This answer was very much in line with the national conditions of the Lighthouse Country.
"What are you writing?" Blade asked curiously.
"An analysis report on Thor's personality and behavior." Coulson had already finished a sheet of paper while speaking. He was truly worthy of being Nick Fury's right-hand man; his professional ability was maxed out.
"That prince is indeed a bit stupid..." Blade couldn't help but complain.
"Not stupid," Coulson retorted. "It's excessive self-centeredness; he thinks he's the center of the world and has no clear understanding of responsibility and consequences."
Seeing that Blade didn't seem to understand, Coulson changed his phrasing. "You can compare him to a child. Some say that when a child grows up for the first time, it's when they realize the world doesn't revolve around them."
"However, he can't realize this point because, as a prince and the first heir, his world does revolve around him. And I can even guess that whenever he made a mistake in the past, someone must have been cleaning up after him."
"So, in his eyes, everyone is like him, possessing divine power and a life that is hard to kill. This is also one of the reasons why he thinks Constantine's and Loki's attacks were just pranks."
"This... how do you cure it?" Blade asked subconsciously.
"It's easy to solve." The temperament Coulson displayed at this moment really had a bit of an elite flavor.
"Thor is different from Tony Stark. Tony Stark knows everything but is completely unwilling to follow social rules; he does as he pleases, choosing loneliness and independence. This kind of thinking cannot be touched by outsiders because he already understands the things you're talking about."
"Thor is different. Although he has lived for a long time, his experiences are highly homogenized, and the emotions and perceptions he has felt are too singular. To put it bluntly, he hasn't been beaten by society. As long as Ms. Foster doesn't act like a mother who spoils her child, Thor will soon understand some things."
"So... are you sure he won't have any accidents in the process?" Blade continued to ask; he was afraid that the beating from society would be too harsh.
"What could be the problem? I will report to Nick Fury immediately, and S. H. I. E. L. D. personnel will be following him in secret the whole time," Coulson said confidently.
That's exactly why I'm afraid something will go wrong.
Blade thought this but didn't say it. To be honest, judging from the many things that had happened so far, he had always felt that there were significant problems within S. H. I. E. L. D.
However, after undergoing a major audit, S. H. I. E. L. D. should be fine for a while.
Blade looked at the sky; the rain had stopped, but Blade felt a greater storm was brewing.
The Earth was becoming increasingly strange. Too many things had happened in the past year or two, and now aliens had arrived. Blade had a premonition that things wouldn't just end with such a whimper.
