Chapter 44: Anti-Saint Light Practitioner Armor (Begging for Follow-up Reading)
, The Genie Starting from Marvel
While Johnson was setting up the magic array, Frank also didn't stay idle, placing a circle of trigger-type detonators around him.
"Are you sure these things won't send me away first?" Johnson stood up and looked at the dense minefield around him.
"Rest assured, because they demanded to capture alive, I brought many anesthetic versions and shock versions of mines. Now just happen to use them all up." Frank explained.
Johnson shrugged. "Then you don't intend to capture alive anymore?"
"Who cares about him?" Frank said lightly. Anyway, he didn't care about Stane's life or death.
Zzz-zzz-zzz~
A series of sounds of tires sliding across the ground came from not far away. Johnson looked over there; S. H. I. E. L. D. agents and Pepper were already in position.
"They have arrived; it's time for you to go on duty." Johnson prompted.
"I know." Frank took out an earphone from his bosom, threw it to Johnson, and then pointed to the headset in his own right ear. "Protect yourself. If there's anything, shout to me on the channel; I can hear it."
"No problem, have a smooth journey~" Johnson waved his hand and said.
Frank turned, jumped down with a leap, and in the air, connected a Relentless Pursuit. The whole person turned into a stream of light, flying toward the ground.
"Wow~ cool~" Johnson exclaimed. Compared to Frank, the Diviner was a bit too plain and unadorned in terms of sound effects and light effects.
"Coulson, is it?" Frank landed and opened his mouth toward a slightly bald agent.
"It is, Mr. Saint Light Practitioner." Coulson took out an ID from his bosom and gave it to Frank.
Pepper on the side secretly sized up Frank. She felt this person seemed to have appeared among them with a swish.
"What do I need to do? Accompany you in to catch people?" Frank handed the ID back and asked rhetorically.
"That's not needed." Coulson had quite a bit of confidence in himself and his subordinates; catching an Obadiah was not a difficult task. "We encountered some special personnel when we came, who launched an attack on us."
"Special personnel?"
"That's right. The Daywalker blocked the enemy for us. However, he called not long ago, saying that person had retreated, so we hope, if he comes over, you can help block him." Coulson continued.
"No problem." Frank agreed. Under the perception brought by the Saint Light, evil objects were hard to hide. As long as that guy used power nearby, he would be perceived by Frank. If he couldn't use it, then he could only walk through the front door.
A few minutes later, Frank didn't wait for the plan executor described in the mission, but instead waited for a violent explosion, which came from the building behind him.
Immediately after, not even half a minute later, Pepper, who had run until she even lost her shoes, darted out from inside.
"What happened?!" Frank hurriedly asked.
Pepper hadn't had time to speak when the phone in her hand rang. It was Tony Stark's phone; this genius had put on the Mark armor and was now rushing over.
"Tony! Obadiah is crazy, you don't know what he has created!" Pepper connected the phone and spoke in a rush.
"Leave first! Leave there first!" Tony shouted loudly on the phone.
Boom—the ground in front of Pepper suddenly bulged, and the shape of a fist was printed on the bulging cement.
The next second, Stane drove his Iron Monger and drilled out directly from underground, raising his right hand, the machine gun muzzle on it aimed at Pepper. "This is the end!"
From drilling out of the ground to preparing to kill Pepper, Stane hadn't put Frank on the side in his eyes the whole time. He perhaps thought this was the same as those agents he killed in the underground laboratory, all belonging to non-threatening personnel.
"No!!!" Tony, who had just appeared on the horizon, shouted loudly looking at the situation below, trying to attract Stane's attention.
"No what no, you guys really underestimate people..." While Frank was speaking, one hand grabbed Pepper's clothes, threw her upward, and simultaneously kicked the Iron Monger's right arm aside with a side kick.
Immediately after, the Saint Spear fell into Frank's hand, aimed at the Iron Monger—Piercing Light!
Biu!
A white light flashed, and the Iron Monger flew backward directly, smashing through an entire wall.
Tony above braked urgently, hugged Pepper in mid-air, and then carefully landed steadily.
"Hey, this should count as your company's assets, don't need to pay if broken, right?" Frank couldn't stand this kind of guy who still sprinkled dog food at a serious time, deliberately opening his mouth to break the atmosphere.
"All go to hell!"
Even angrier than Frank was Stane, who climbed up from the ruins. Two Gatling guns spat blue fire, and bullets swept directly along the way.
Swish—Frank used the old way, Relentless Pursuit to disengage from the battlefield, and Tony followed closely behind. With Jarvis, this artificial intelligence, the reaction speed of his Mark armor didn't need to be determined by his own nervous reaction speed.
Frank, hovering in the air, felt something was wrong. The Iron Monger's armor was hard, but no matter how hard, at most it was just that one Piercing Light couldn't penetrate it.
Why was it that now the Iron Monger's shoulder armor seemed to have been penetrated, but the gap was being rapidly filled by some things, as if the Iron Monger were alive.
"Tony Stark, has your company invented adaptive repair nano-robots?" Frank asked after dodging the Iron Monger's sweep again.
"That's a good idea. I think I will realize this technology in the next armor improvement." Tony replied while protecting Pepper.
"Then it's strange..." Frank had a bad premonition, directly approached the Iron Monger, fired both guns, and the dazzling Saint Light bullets beat the Iron Monger until it had no power to fight back, only able to retreat repeatedly under the impact.
Biu!
Another Piercing Light, and the Iron Monger was shot directly into the ground, almost smashing through this floor and returning to the underground laboratory.
Tony, who landed on the side, watched the Iron Monger being abused by Frank and couldn't speak for a while.
"Tony, what's wrong with you?" Pepper asked concernedly.
"Remind me after we go back, remember to invent a set of anti..." Tony paused. "By the way, what was that person's name again?"
"Don't know the name, the codename is Saint Light Practitioner, Coulson said." Pepper replied.
"Then invent a set of Anti-Saint Light Practitioner Armor." Tony exhaled and said. Given the situation in front of him, Tony estimated that Stane and his Iron Monger would soon be unable to get up.
Tony was full of confidence, but Frank felt increasingly wrong in his heart.
The opponent was just a clumsy big iron shell. To be honest, for Frank, the Iron Monger was much easier to deal with than Tony's Mark armor.
Just this thing alone could trigger a side mission for the system? Frank felt it was highly unlikely. ===== CHAPTER 45 =====
