Chapter 48: I Am Iron Man
Marvel Universe.
"Tony? Tony!" Behind the scenes of the press conference, Coulson called out to Tony Stark, who was distracted.
"Ah? What's wrong?" Tony's spirit wasn't very focused. He not only contacted various medical masters all night last night but also stayed in the laboratory for a night.
These people who play mental attacks are too annoying. Must research a method to target them; otherwise, if they bump into them next time, it's hard to say if there will be sacrifices again.
Because of this idea, Tony even pushed the sequence of the Anti-Saint Light Practitioner Armor to the back.
"We have already prepared the speech draft for you. Just read it directly toward this when the time comes." Coulson handed Tony a piece of paper and said.
Tony looked at the label paper; it was all routine nonsense. So he threw it aside casually.
"How is the situation on Frank's side?" Tony asked Coulson, and Pepper on the side also quieted down.
People came to help, and in the end, one was seriously injured. It would be too heartless not to care about this matter.
Coulson was a bit embarrassed. Nick Fury still wanted to continue using Tony's things to sell favors to Frank, but Frank directly ignored it this time. "We can't contact him now. When we talked yesterday, he said he would handle it himself."
"..." Tony leaned back. "What about Woody?"
"No trace... don't know where he hid." Coulson's embarrassment went up another level. To prevent sporadic undercover agents, Nick Fury had S. H. I. E. L. D. all start searching, and the result was not even a hair was found.
"Didn't do a single thing well, and you still intend to let me listen to you?" Tony stood up and threw the label paper aside casually. "I will solve it myself; won't trouble you all."
"Pepper, see the guests out."
Pepper showed a formulaic smile toward Coulson. Coulson was very helpless, shook his head, and left from the back of the press conference with Pepper.
A few minutes later, Coulson, sitting in the car, watched with his own eyes on the screen in front of him as Tony announced loudly to the countless media below: I, am Iron Man!
"Director, what should we do next?" Coulson asked for instructions into his headset.
"Come back first; I will find time to talk to him." Nick Fury instructed.
This big news would definitely spread across the entire planet along with the media. This was already not in Nick Fury's plan, or rather, ever since Woody escaped from S. H. I. E. L. D., many things behind it made Nick Fury's plan deviate increasingly seriously.
Just as Nick Fury thought, in less than half an hour, the headlines of various places all changed to titles like "Tony Stark High-Profile Announces He Is Iron Man."
Moreover, this sentence of Tony's followed some kind of mysterious connection and entered an uninhabited area.
This was a very ordinary desert in Afghanistan. The only thing not ordinary was that the billionaire Tony Stark had been imprisoned here once.
The three words "Iron Man" echoed in a cave here, stirring up a beautiful dream below the cave.
Between the fluctuations of the dream, Yinsen's corpse suddenly opened its eyes, and instinct like an animal and a bit of wisdom began to awaken.
Ding Hao had once divided Yinsen into a spiritual body and consciousness, of which the spiritual body, or rather the combination of various desires and instincts, resisted death incomparably, but Yinsen's own consciousness accepted the beautiful dream and was unwilling to wake up. That was why Yinsen had been sleeping for so long.
In the dream, Yinsen heard information from the outside world for the first time.
"Tony became Iron Man, dissolved the weapons department, and is determined to maintain peace." Yinsen's face was filled with an irrepressible smile. "I really didn't save the wrong person!"
"Save the wrong person? Who did you save? Did you go on an adventure again?" Yinsen's mother walked past, heard Yinsen's words, and looked at him seriously.
"No, I mean, being a doctor can save people; this profession is quite good." Yinsen prevaricated.
"Indeed, doctors can earn money, have status, and can cure diseases and save people. If you could become a doctor, work for a few years, save some money, I'll go and find you a marriage, the next town over..."
Mother began to nag, arranging to find a wife for Yinsen, and then hold a grandson. She wasn't old yet and could help bring up the child.
Yinsen listened to his mother's nagging, his heart filled with happiness. He tilted his head and glanced out the window. A colorful stream of light floated in the sky; that was the exit leaving the dream.
Forget it, Tony became Iron Man, should be living very well, so I'll go find him a bit later.
Yinsen dismissed the idea of leaving here that had just appeared, withdrew his gaze from the window, and then got up to help his mother.
This rapid change in Yinsen's idea caused his body's recovery from the outside world to stop halfway.
Originally at this time, as long as the body closed its eyes, the situation would soon return to the state when it first sank here.
However, the spiritual body indicated that it had "slept" for too long and didn't want to sleep anymore.
And so, Yinsen drove the body rawly. His four limbs now seemed unfamiliar with each other, all doing their own thing throughout the process, without any coordination.
Under these circumstances, Yinsen dug up bit by bit from underground. That was to say, this body was filled with the power of death; otherwise, he couldn't dig, and even if he could, he would be crushed to death by the mud.
Above the ground, a hand stretched out from underground, followed by shoulders and a head.
When Yinsen stood on the ground, he was already covered in dust. The dust shaken off his body was estimated to be more than ten pounds.
Looking at his tattered clothes in confusion, touching the healed bullet holes on his body, Yinsen didn't know where to go next.
At this time, Yinsen suddenly remembered the three words "Iron Man" that had echoed in his ears not long ago. Because his consciousness hadn't returned, he didn't know what this term represented.
The rusty logical thinking operated, and Yinsen synthesized various information and reached a conclusion: that was that he likely had a grudge against Iron Man; otherwise, how could he crawl out after hearing this name while buried underground.
Iron Man, where are you? There is no you here...
Yinsen shook his withered body and walked toward the outside of the mountain cave.
The Ancient One, who was hiding her figure on the side, didn't stop his movements. The Ancient One evaluated the energy reaction on Yinsen, incidentally peeked at the timeline, and the incomplete state of Yinsen didn't pose a threat to Tony big enough for her to have to intervene.
The Ancient One gave up intervening, and on this planet, the other existence capable of intervening had no mood to manage him now. Ding Hao was traveling happily in another world.
Compared to the Marvel world, although this world's energy level was low, it didn't even have an administrator or guardian; absolutely no one would interfere with Ding Hao's actions.
This would bring a kind of happiness completely different from the Marvel world.
