Chapter 53

~6 min read 1,197 words

Early the next morning, there was a knock on Frank's door. As soon as he opened the door, Tony was standing there with two dark circles under his eyes.

"Are you... okay? Didn't sleep well?" Frank looked at the exhausted Tony, who was yawning, and asked.

"It's fine, just pulled an all-nighter." Tony waved his hand indifferently.

"Hmm... Miss Pepper?" Frank asked casually.

"She hasn't woken up yet." Tony's expression was a bit awkward. He picked his nose and then hurriedly changed the subject. "The potion you brought, I analyzed it all night yesterday. Jarvis, open the analysis report."

Following Tony's words, projection screens appeared around them, all full of various tables and difficult-to-understand terminology. Frank just glanced at it and found more than a dozen words he didn't know at all.

"I discovered a variety of unprecedented active ingredients in it, checked their molecular structure, reverse-engineered the survival conditions required by the possible prototypes, and then I reached a very likely inference..." Tony looked at Frank with a bit of excitement and spoke slowly, word by word. "The materials used to make this bottle of potion come from an extraterrestrial planet!"

Frank was very surprised, but on second thought, this might just be a very simple matter for Tony. "Pretty much, how did you do it?"

"This is very simple." Tony shrugged, and the answer was not what Frank expected.

"So, you've already figured out what's taking effect?" Frank continued to ask.

Listening to Frank's extremely layman-like words, Tony didn't know how to answer for a while. If he could figure out a potion in one night without any prior knowledge, comparison objects, or even raw materials, then he wouldn't be a genius, he would be a god.

"Lacking relevant data, there isn't even a control group..." Tony thought for a while and continued. "I need more materials and data, both raw materials and finished products, and it's better to have usage data."

Frank indicated he understood. It seemed he still had to find a way to find a potion maker to ask.

"Hmm... can I borrow some money?" Frank suddenly remembered his empty small treasury and asked.

"How much do you need? Is one hundred million enough?" Tony asked back very readily.

"Uh... that's too much, and the currency over there is different from ours. I want to borrow some gold and then go over and sell it." Frank hurriedly changed his words. The rich guy is indeed a rich guy.

"Gold, huh? That's more troublesome. Is half a ton enough?" Tony frowned. Stark Group has its own gold reserves, but this kind of thing limits large-scale circulation. If he took it all out at once, it would be very troublesome if discovered.

"No need, no need, a few kilograms is enough." Frank hurriedly said. He had seen what 'money power' was today.

"That's a small problem, I'll give it to you right away."

More than ten minutes later, Frank walked out of the tower carrying a packaging bag with ten kilograms of gold inside. Besides finding Tony, he also had to find one person this time—the Daywalker, Blade.

Fortunately, Blade and Frank had exchanged contact information, so it was relatively easy to find him.

Soon, Frank arrived at a basement that had been converted into a private gym, and Blade was in the middle of training.

After one fight with Woody, Blade deeply realized his own shortcomings. If he were strong enough, he wouldn't have implicated others.

"Hey, Frank, how is the Professor doing now?"

"Not very well, he hasn't woken up yet."

"I'm very sorry." Blade's expression was very bad.

"No, it's not your fault." Frank leaned on the back of the chair. He wasn't the kind of person who would vent his anger on others.

"Thank you for your understanding. Is there anything I can help you with?" Blade asked very readily.

"Do you know how a werewolf can control himself during a full moon so he doesn't go crazy and attack others?" Frank described precisely Lupin's situation.

"Uncontrollable madness? Is the bloodline impure, or is it simply cursed by some kind of power?" Blade recalled the genetic information in his bloodline and then asked.

"Maybe, I'm not sure. Is there any kind of universal solution? He can't come over." Frank continued to ask. This was the problem of the information barrier. If everyone could travel at will, all problems would be much easier to solve.

"Hmm... can he accept some costs?" Blade pondered for a moment before saying. Since the person wasn't in front of him, there was no way to solve this problem through the right path; he could only resort to some crooked paths.

"It should be no problem." Frank answered quickly. Lupin hated the fact that he was a werewolf and hurt people, so he wouldn't hesitate at all for just a little cost.

"Alright, wait a moment." Blade walked into the room. After a while, he came out with a bottle of blood-colored potion.

"Power Suppressant." Blade placed the potion on the table. "This is a special control drug for werewolves invented by some vampires."

"Most werewolves are just simply irritable and aggressive when they go crazy, and this brings stronger power, especially during a full moon."

"In order to better control captives and weaken the opponent's power, vampires invented this drug. If there are no major problems, suppressing your friend's madness shouldn't be a problem. You can use a little less for the first time, ten milliliters."

"However, its side effect is that after use, the werewolf will fall into a period of weakness, and it will be very painful when forced to go crazy. This side effect cannot be avoided because it was invented for this purpose."

Blade explained the effects and drawbacks of the drug to Frank very clearly.

How should I put it? A mortal enemy is indeed the group that understands the other party the best. Vampires have invented countless things to limit and weaken werewolves, and this one is still relatively mild.

"Thank you very much." Frank put away the medicine and then remembered one thing. When he and Johnson met Blade at the coffee shop, he had promised one thing.

"By the way, I might not be able to give you the key to the cabin recently. I transferred the highest permission to Johnson, and I have to wait for him to wake up." Frank said to Blade after getting up.

"Small matter, it's better than anything that he can get better." Blade gave Frank a light hug. "Don't worry, I'm trying to find that guy. Once I find him, I'll definitely kill him!"

Frank nodded. "Remember to call me when the time comes."

"No problem." Blade said, sending Frank out of the basement.

Arriving on the street, Frank glanced at the Stark Industries Tower towering in the distance, and then glanced at Blade's large basement, and his confidence suddenly became sufficient.

Those who follow the Dao have many helpers; those who lose the Dao have few.

I have so many world-class top talents standing behind me, such a deep foundation, Woody, what are you going to use to resist?!
