Chapter 577: The Secret of Heavenly Weeping
The Scripture of Heavenly Weeping.
Yu Liancheng looked at the Scripture of Heavenly Weeping before him.
All obstacles had been cleared away, and the Scripture of Heavenly Weeping was right before him.
As long as he wished, he could find the first character left behind by Cangjie in the Scripture of Heavenly Weeping at any time.
At this moment, he was staying at an inn several dozen miles away from Pori Peak; Ni Pusa and Bu Jingyun were also lodging there.
Yu Liancheng pondered for a moment and finally opened the Scripture of Heavenly Weeping.
On the Scripture of Heavenly Weeping were ancient pictographs; even with Yu Liancheng's knowledge, he could not understand the meaning contained within these characters.
But he did not care.
Perhaps each of these characters had an extremely important significance.
But for Yu Liancheng, he only needed to find that first character written by Cangjie.
Turning page by page, even with Yu Liancheng's ability to read ten lines at a glance, or even a hundred, he read very slowly, fearing he might miss a single character.
And when he turned to the thirteenth page, his gaze was immediately drawn to a "character."
He saw that this character overflowed with endless divine radiance, filled with an ancient, simple, and mysterious aura, striking to the extreme.
"Is this the first character of Opening Heaven?"
When Yu Liancheng's gaze made contact with this character, although he still did not understand the true meaning within it, his Primordial Spirit seemed to uncontrollably detach from his physical shell, merging into one with the vault of heaven and all things, the nine heavens and ten earths.
And it was not just Yu Liancheng's Primordial Spirit that merged with heaven and earth; the sky above the entire small town also underwent a change in color, and a brilliant light erupted from above the inn, like a pillar of light connecting heaven and earth, illuminating the nine heavens and ten earths, seemingly tearing through the Darkness.
Back then, when Ni Pusa viewed the scripture on Pori Peak, there was also a brilliant light that broke through the sky and sun; the villagers living nearby at the time were all amazed by this strange phenomenon, and "Pori Peak" thus got its name.
In a trance, images flashed through Yu Liancheng's mind one after another.
First to appear before Yu Liancheng was a burly back figure; he was dressed in animal skins, looking unlike a modern person, possessing strange features and a mysterious appearance. In particular, his eyes were like the sun and moon hanging in the sky, filled with endless wisdom.
Yet such a wise man was also filled with worry.
Worrying for the human race.
The human race was weak; compared to other races, knowledge was their greatest weapon.
Although knowledge could be passed down, through word of mouth, it could lose its original meaning, or even be lost entirely.
Was there a way to record knowledge for future generations to consult?
Not knowing how long he had pondered, the eyes of this wise man named 'Cangjie' lit up: could he create a type of character, letting this character also become a part of knowledge, where every character represented a meaning?
And by combining different characters, knowledge could be passed down.
After pondering for a full ten days, Cangjie raised his arm and wrote in the void, finally creating the first character, the first pictograph.
And when this first character in heaven and earth appeared, the ten-thousand-mile sky suddenly changed color, a scene of bleak clouds and miserable mist, as if all the ghosts and Gods between heaven and earth were grieving and suffering, wailing and howling.
It was not just the wailing of ghosts and howling of spirits; there even came the sound of human weeping and the mournful cries of all things.
Once writing was created, knowledge could be passed down; the human race, which was already growing stronger by the day, would become the absolute masters of this world, and whether it be ghosts, Gods, immortals, or Buddhas, or birds and beasts, their space would be squeezed.
And for humans, if writing could not be used to carry the Dao, but was instead used by despicable people to attack others, then writing would degenerate into the most terrifying weapon.
The divine arts and supreme techniques used for killing were mostly recorded in writing. But so-called peerless divine arts were sometimes not as effective as a pen.
And what was even more terrifying was that the power of this first character far exceeded Cangjie's imagination.
Because this character was the source of all writing; all subsequent characters were evolved from this first character.
Therefore, this first character in heaven and earth could enable those who saw it to communicate with heaven and earth, and all secrets recorded in writing would be pried into.
After creating this character, Cangjie also became omniscient because of it, and at the same time, because of all the secrets in heaven and earth, he shed two lines of blood and tears.
From this character, Cangjie saw all the disasters that the human race would suffer in later generations, yet he was powerless to stop them.
He was weeping for the great calamities of future generations.
Therefore, Cangjie hid the first character created in heaven and earth within the Scripture of Heavenly Weeping, leaving a contingency for the common people of the world.
He hoped that whoever opened the Scripture of Heavenly Weeping in the future and saw the first character of heaven and earth would be able to do their best to save humanity from thousands of calamities.
The images before Yu Liancheng's eyes kept turning, his vision constantly shifting along with the movement of the Scripture of Heavenly Weeping.
It was as if he, like the Scripture of Heavenly Weeping, had experienced thousands of years of Spring and Autumn, with countless scenes flashing past his eyes.
It was just a pity that after experiencing thousands of winters and summers, no one had discovered the Heavenly Weeping; it was passed around, and even at one point mixed among thousands of Buddhist scriptures.
And not knowing if it was because of the ways of the world and the hearts of men, having no heart for Buddha, and even less heart for diligently reading ten thousand volumes of scriptures, the Scripture of Heavenly Weeping was like a stone sinking into the sea, never having been discovered...
Another thousand years passed like this, until the Tang Dynasty, when a monk who loved studying Buddhist scriptures appeared—the Buddhist fanatic, who was Master Xuanzang.
Master Xuanzang had loved reading Buddhist scriptures since he was young, but the more he read, the more he saw the suffering of all living beings, and the more questions he had in his heart. Finally, to resolve the doubts in his heart, he traveled to Tianzhu to seek more profound Buddhist scriptures.
And it was while reading the myriad Buddhist scriptures in Tianzhu that he inadvertently discovered—the Scripture of Heavenly Weeping.
When he saw the Scripture of Heavenly Weeping, Master Xuanzang also gained the supernatural power of foresight because of that first character of heaven and earth. Already possessing profound cultivation, he, like Cangjie, felt grief arise from within for knowing all the great calamities of the world, and shed blood and tears...
Fearing that the Scripture of Heavenly Weeping would fall into the hands of treacherous and evil people, with unimaginable consequences, and unable to bear destroying it entirely, Xuanzang hid the Scripture of Heavenly Weeping in the Wanzai Tears Spring on Pori Peak before he passed away.
If someone could truly find this place, then perhaps they were the fated person truly worthy of the Heavenly Weeping.
And after Xuanzang placed the Scripture of Heavenly Weeping on Pori Peak, this scroll of scripture was left for another thousand years, finally welcoming its third reader, which was Ni Pusa.
After another few dozen winters and summers, this scroll of Heavenly Weeping finally fell into the hands of Yu Liancheng.
In the Heavenly Weeping, Yu Liancheng experienced thousands of years of time, not only seeing the three people who had flipped through the Heavenly Weeping, but also seeing images that had been extremely stunning in history.
For example, four thousand years ago, a Beast God dragon-turtle swam in the long river, and because of a great calamity, its blood spilled over heaven and earth; its blood was accidentally swallowed by a strange person named Xiao Sanxiao.
From then on, there was one more strange person in the world who was immortal and lived proudly in heaven and earth.
Or for example, before "sword" was just a very crude sword-shaped weapon, there was a young man named Xiaoshi who, on a night of wind, rain, and thunder, created the world's first "sword technique." From then on, "sword" and "technique" complemented each other, with infinite power, capable of eradicating all demons and heretics, and all injustices.
Also because Xiaoshi created the first sword technique, he was crowned with the beautiful name of "Dajianshi" by his tribesmen. Later, Dajianshi studied tirelessly, and in just ten years, created various different sword techniques, and even founded the world's first blood sword sect—Sword Sect.
Later still, Dajianshi sensed a great calamity of a thousand autumns, and immediately forged a sword for the great calamity, a sword to save humanity from fire and water, which could only be used by a hero—the Hero Sword.
In order not to let the Hero Sword be lonely, another Hero Sword was forged, accompanying it for a thousand years, but in the end, only one Hero Sword could exist in the world.
Or for example, the Prince of Qin swept across the six states, unifying the seven kingdoms, with great talent and ambition, worthy of being called an emperor through the ages, but he grew increasingly afraid of death, wanting to rule the common people for a thousand autumns and ten thousand generations; in order to seek immortality, he consulted with the alchemist Xu Fu about the elixir of immortality.
Later, Xu Fu led the elite Qin army to surround and kill the Phoenix, one of the Four Great Divine Beasts.
Although the Phoenix fell, Xu Fu took the Phoenix blood essence and traveled far across the sea to Dongying.
Another example is a scene that Yu Liancheng has watched dozens, or even hundreds of times.
Guan Yu, with his red face and green robes, holding the Green Dragon Crescent Blade, unleashed a peerless blade intent from his entire body; though he did not move, he slashed out that stunning, peerless "Love of the City" that was faster than anything else in the world, leveling a city defended by hundreds of thousands of troops.
Another example is in the Shaolin Temple, where the Damo Patriarch observed the changes in the winds and clouds of heaven and earth to create the Maha Wuliang.
Another example is three hundred years ago, when the ancestor of the Wu family fought Yun Dingtian for ten days and ten nights.
……
"Hoo!"
Not knowing how much time had passed, Yu Liancheng finally walked out of the endless illusions of the Scripture of Heavenly Weeping and let out a long breath.
"As expected of the Heavenly Weeping; just by reading it slightly, I have gained such great fortune."
Feeling the growth of his Primordial Spirit, Yu Liancheng was very pleased.
First, although it was only for an instant, in that instant, Yu Liancheng had gone through a spiritual journey of thousands of years, observing all the mysteries of this world, allowing his spiritual realm to reach an unprecedented level of improvement.
Besides that, he also grasped the shadows of many divine arts and ultimate techniques from afar.
For example, Xiao Sanxiao's Myriad Ways of Senluo, the Four Absolutes of Hun Tian, and the Damo Patriarch's Yuan-level Maha, and even the Mysterious Yin Twelve Swords that only exist within the Sword Realm...
But it is a pity that he only grasped some shadows. Especially the Yuan-level Maha and the Mysterious Yin Twelve Swords; these martial arts, which were not written down in words, were even more faint.
But even so, the improvement for him was unprecedented.
Of course, Yu Liancheng also gained all the secrets of the world.
For example, if he wants to explore a certain treasure, as long as he is willing, with a single thought, he can know where it is buried at any time.
Of course, if the thing he wants to find has no specific written records from ancient times to the present, perhaps there is only a vague direction.
In addition, the Scripture of Heavenly Weeping also has the ability to deduce the future, but for now, due to the existence of Yu Liancheng, a visitor from outside the heavens, it is still full of variables.
"Heavenly Weeping, oh Heavenly Weeping, let me take complete control of you."
Yu Liancheng looked at the Heavenly Weeping before him, tapped his brow lightly with his finger, and an invisible ripple dispersed, instantly wrapping the entire room while cutting off all connections between this room and the outside world.
Yu Liancheng himself is a Heavenly Human expert, and with his insights into the Heavenly Phenomenon of the "Snow Sword Stride" world, he can form a world of his own. And in this self-formed world, he is the master, and all life and death are in his grasp.
He uses this method very skillfully and has used it many times in past battles, and now, after the baptism of the Heavenly Weeping, it is even more natural, reaching an unprecedented height.
However, he had never named this move; at this moment, his heart stirred, and since this realm is only for him, it might as well be called the "Weiwuo Zhijing".
The "Weiwuo Zhijing" unfolded, isolating heaven and earth.
At the same time, waves of powerful divine sense surged out, endless, pouring toward the Heavenly Weeping.
The "Heavenly Weeping" is not only the first writing in the world but also one of the reflections of this world. If it can be refined, it is no less than obtaining the most terrifying weapon.
And since the power of the "Heavenly Weeping" originates from this world, Yu Liancheng separated it from this world, so he only needed to face the power of the "Heavenly Weeping" itself, without having to contend with this heaven and earth.
Waves of divine sense were endless, pouring into the Scripture of Heavenly Weeping like a heavenly river flowing backward.
And the Scripture of Heavenly Weeping also seemed to develop intelligence, feeling the danger, and continuously emitted waves of mysterious ripples to contend with Yu Liancheng's divine sense.
It is a pity that the power of the Scripture of Heavenly Weeping itself is limited, and influenced by the "Weiwuo Zhijing", it could not mobilize the power of the Wind and Cloud world, and could only be gradually devoured by Yu Liancheng.
