Chapter 60: Women and Women

~7 min read 1,332 words

The hundred flowers were in full bloom, appearing even more vibrant under the sunlight. Shaman stood right amidst the flower clusters, wearing a light, flowing robe; she wore no powder or paint on her face, yet the hundred flowers lost their color beside her.

She was truly a very beautiful woman, and very beautiful women are often very tempting to men; she was just such a woman.

A young girl with a high chest, a slender waist, and a very young age had also arrived in this flower garden. She looked very noble, her expression cold and aloof, and she was dressed quite gorgeously; whoever saw her would take her for a princess.

Yet she had a name that did not quite fit her status: Niurutang.

—A fragrant and piping hot beef soup.

"He stayed in your room last night." Niurutang's expression was very cold.

Shaman's reply was also very cold: "That is correct."

Niurutang said: "So you slept together?"

Shaman's face seemed to flush slightly: "Although it was not the kind of sleeping together you speak of, we did indeed lie on the same bed."

Niurutang sneered: "You are not ugly; for a lone man and a lone woman to stay in one room, for him to be able to hold back—could it be that he is a eunuch?"

Shaman let out a "pfft" of laughter; she was already beautiful with a cold face, but she was even more beautiful when she laughed, and at that moment, the hundred flowers seemed to lose their color: "I can guarantee you that he is absolutely a man, a real man, more of a man than any other man."

Niurutang said: "Since that is the case, why didn't he touch you?"

Shaman's pretty face returned to its icy state: "Because he likes me, and I happen to like him too."

Niurutang said: "Then I understand even less."

"Because he likes me, he respects my decision. I like him, so I don't let him touch me."

Shaman's eyes narrowed slightly, carrying a languid air, just like a little cat: "Men are all cheap-boned; once they obtain something, they won't like it as much. This is a principle every woman should know."

Niurutang shouted sharply: "But you cannot like him! Absolutely not!"

Shaman gave a cold snort, her voice suddenly growing louder: "He is a very romantic and handsome man, gentle and considerate to me, and his martial arts are no worse than anyone else's. Furthermore, he has no masochistic... bad habits. Why can I not like him!?"

Niurutang's complexion was as cold as frost: "Because you are the betrothed wife of his Ninth Brother!"

Shaman's complexion suddenly turned pale, and she gritted her teeth: "But he and I are not yet married, and even if we were married, we could still separate."

Niurutang was almost angered into laughter: "Whore, you whore, I knew you were a whore the first moment I saw you."

Shaman was not a person easily angered, but no matter who the woman was, she could not stand that word.

"I know you have always liked Gong Jiu, so you are hostile toward me. But even without me, Gong Jiu would not like you. Because you are the real whore; as long as you are willing, you can sleep with any man. You are the real whore, a whore through and through."

When people are angry, they often use the most vicious words to hurt others, regardless of whether they are men or women.

"Go to hell!"

Niurutang was trembling all over with rage; with a twist of her delicate body, she had already swept toward Shaman like lightning, her slender, beautiful fingers flicking out like orchid petals.

Shaman swept backward, and a cold glint flashed from her cloud-like sleeves; a thin, long short sword suddenly stabbed out. Cold light radiated, coming and going in a flash; her sword technique was indeed not weak.

Very quickly, the two women had begun a fierce battle, with every move being fatal.

Their martial arts were about the same, and they were not unfamiliar with each other's skills; to determine a winner, it would take at least a hundred moves.

Chi!

Suddenly, a flash of sword light appeared, and the clothing on Niurutang's shoulder was pierced, a shallow bloodstain appearing.

After only thirty moves, Niurutang had already been wounded.

The reason was simple: Niurutang was consumed by anger, and her moves became chaotic, naturally leading to openings. If not for Shaman holding back, this sword strike would not have been just a shallow scratch, but would have pierced straight through her shoulder.

However, this sword strike also brought Niurutang to her senses; she calmed her heart and steadied her breath, her moves becoming increasingly rigorous.

But her right arm was injured, and her attacks were inevitably a beat slower, leaving her clearly at a disadvantage in the subsequent exchange.

Niurutang suddenly looked behind Shaman, her face showing joy: "Ninth Brother, you've come."

Hearing this, Shaman could not help but have her sword momentum stall.

And one of Niurutang's orchid-like, slender jade hands had already flicked toward Shaman's left shoulder.

The martial art she was using was precisely the "Ruyi Orchid Hand"; although the name was beautiful, it was one of the most difficult to practice and most terrifying martial arts in the martial world, capable of snapping tendons and dislocating bones, harming people invisibly.

If the right shoulder were struck, that arm would immediately hang limp, unable to move at all, and be permanently crippled. After the injury flared up in a full day and night, it would be even more excruciatingly painful; other than cutting off the arm, there was almost no other way to resolve it.

Just at this moment, with a "chi" sound, a streak of black light shot over.

This streak of black light came too fast and too fiercely, making the air whistle.

Niurutang's expression changed, and she twisted her body in mid-air, dodging this streak of black light.

Xiu xiu xiu!!

Three more streaks of black light shot over, each faster than the last, forming a "pin" shape, sealing off her retreat.

Niurutang barely dodged the first and second, but the third struck exactly on her shoulder.

"Ah!"

With a scream, blood splattered from Niurutang's shoulder, and a bloody hole was actually punched into it. She also saw clearly the deadly hidden weapon from just before; it was nothing more than a few stones.

"Who is it!?" Niurutang's voice was shrill, her beautiful face twisted by pain, as she covered her gushing shoulder with her other hand.

A figure in black slowly walked over from the distance, wearing a smile, his expression indifferent.

"Yu Liancheng, you actually hurt me." Niurutang's eyes were wide and round.

Yu Liancheng smiled indifferently: "Since you hurt others, you must be prepared to be hurt by others."

"Do you know..."

"If you want to say that Xiao Laotou is your father, there is no need. Even if you died, to him, you would be no more important than a speck of dust," Yu Liancheng said calmly.

"Good, good, good!!" Niurutang was so angry she gritted her teeth.

"Alright, you can get lost. I am in a very good mood today and do not wish to kill anyone," Yu Liancheng waved his hand.

"You wait, when Ninth Brother comes, I will make you wish you were dead." Niurutang said with a vicious tone, but she had already drifted away.

Yu Liancheng walked up to Shaman, stroked her fair face with his hand, and said gently: "Are you alright?"

Shaman shook her head, her long, dark, soft hair rippling slightly, just like waves in the dark night. Although there was no expression on her face, two blushes had appeared on her fair cheeks, and she said with slight worry: "He... is coming."

Yu Liancheng laughed: "If he does not come, I will go find him. However, let's go inside first; the wind is cold outside."

"Mm."
