Chapter 304
Emboldened, Fujiwara Chika leaned forward and, with the speed of a dragonfly skimming the water, planted a light kiss on Kitakami Yoru’s left cheek.
"I don't want a reward; just rubbing and kneading for me tonight will be enough..."
"I'm rubbing and kneading your feet now, but tonight..."
Kitakami Yoru only dared to think this; he would have to be insane to say it out loud.
"Get up, I've rested enough."
Having kissed Kitakami Yoru, Fujiwara Chika pursed her lips in shyness and stood up.
"Mm, is there anywhere you want to go?"
Kitakami Yoru clapped his hands and subconsciously brushed his nose, sniffing for a scent.
It smelled fragrant.
But he didn't pay it any mind, whereas Fujiwara Chika, seeing this, immediately looked down at her own feet, terrified that there might be an unpleasant odor.
She was afraid of Kitakami Yoru finding her repulsive.
After tidying up, the two of them left.
"I don't really have anywhere in mind. What should we do for fun?"
Fujiwara Chika naturally clung to Kitakami Yoru’s arm; with few people around, she boldly leaned into him.
"How about we go watch the sunset and look at the sea?"
Kitakami Yoru suggested.
Then, without letting Fujiwara Chika speak, he quickly added, "As long as I'm with Chika, I'm fine with anything."
"You bad boy, still trying to trick a girl. Do you think I'll be happy just because you flatter me like that?"
Fujiwara Chika followed in Kitakami Yoru’s footsteps.
It was still early, so there was no rush.
While leading Fujiwara Chika toward the station, Kitakami Yoru used a map app to browse for suitable shops or malls nearby.
Even locals get lost; Tokyo is just that big.
It was around 4:10 PM.
Calling a courier service, Kitakami Yoru paid to have the goods he’d bought sent home.
He stayed behind to continue his date with Fujiwara Chika; carrying too many bags would make it inconvenient to get up to mischief.
They boarded the Shin-Yurigaoka train, heading toward the Odaiba Seaside Park in Tokyo’s Minato Ward.
A holy land for dating couples, it was also where the swimming events for the Tokyo Olympics were held.
The famous giant Gundam and the Tokyo Statue of Liberty stood tall there as well.
Choosing seats at the front of the train, they looked out through the transparent glass at the dense, staggered buildings forming a unique landscape.
"Look, the Ferris wheel!"
Fujiwara Chika pulled on Kitakami Yoru’s hand, pointing at the Ferris wheel with visible excitement.
A close view is no view at all.
Neither Kitakami Yoru nor Fujiwara Chika had ever been here before.
They walked around with great interest, taking photos, and finally waited for the sunset.
Looking out, the man-made beach at the seaside park was almost entirely occupied by couples.
There were also some elderly people and middle-aged women bringing their children and grandchildren to play.
"Right here."
Kitakami Yoru pulled Fujiwara Chika’s hand and sat down at the very edge of the lawn, setting down their shopping bags.
Then, he laid out the food they had bought onto the grass.
They wouldn't be having dinner...
"It's so beautiful."
The sunset and night view of Odaiba Seaside Park are considered a marvel of Tokyo; seeing it for the first time, Fujiwara Chika couldn't help but exclaim.
She took out her phone and *click*, snapped a photo.
Kitakami Yoru, however, was hungry.
He took out two hot dog buns, each cut in half, and then picked up a long item wrapped in tin foil.
Tearing open the foil, he revealed two black pepper sausages, normal in thickness but excessively long, still steaming hot.
Kitakami Yoru estimated they were about eighteen centimeters long.
He tucked them into the two hot dogs and handed them to Fujiwara Chika.
"Thanks."
Having played for so long, she had burned a lot of energy. Fujiwara Chika looked at Kitakami Yoru and opened her mouth to bite directly into the black pepper sausage that protruded from the bun.
Rich juices mixed with grease exploded in Fujiwara Chika’s mouth.
"Hoo... hoo... it's so hot..."
Fujiwara Chika clearly didn't know how hot the inside of the sausage was before taking that sudden bite.
She had the bad luck of falling right into the trap.
Watching her spit out the first piece of sausage onto the grass, Kitakami Yoru even felt a fleeting urge to laugh, but he quickly handed her water to drink.
"It's a good thing it didn't burn your lips. Is it okay inside?"
Looking at Fujiwara Chika’s miserable expression, Kitakami Yoru asked with concern.
"It hurts so much, it's numb and bitter; I feel like the spot that got burned doesn't even belong to me anymore."
Fujiwara Chika rolled her eyes, full of regret.
This reminded Kitakami Yoru of how Eriri had once rolled her eyes at him after being burned, unable to take it.
"It's fine, it's fine. Just eat more vitamins later."
Kitakami Yoru comforted her.
"I'm not eating it. You eat it."
Sulking, Fujiwara Chika returned the hot dog to Kitakami Yoru and began eating the other food instead.
Holding one in each hand, Kitakami Yoru signaled for Fujiwara Chika to help him squeeze the sauce bottles.
Ketchup and Thousand Island dressing covered the surface of the two hot dogs in even strips.
"These black pepper sausages are really big."
Fujiwara Chika muttered.
"Are they? I don't remember."
Kitakami Yoru said, slightly thrusting his abdomen forward.
"You eat them, I'm not going to."
Fujiwara Chika continued to reject the innocent black pepper sausage...
Helpless, Kitakami Yoru ate both portions himself.
They stayed with Fujiwara Chika until the sun had completely set and night had shrouded the area; the neon lights around the seaside park flickered on, and the seawater reflected their glow.
"Chika-chan, I like you so much, I like you the most."
Kitakami Yoru had already snuck his arms around Fujiwara Chika at some point.
He held her neck area with a gentle pressure, enough to keep her from escaping without causing her pain.
"Mm... you can't do this... mm... go..."
Kitakami Yoru’s whispering against her ear made Fujiwara Chika feel incredibly distressed, and she struggled to make meaningless sounds of protest from her small mouth.
This only served to further incite Kitakami Yoru’s wicked intentions.
The next second, he sealed Fujiwara Chika’s small mouth.
There was no one nearby; in the darkness, Fujiwara Chika resisted for a moment before actively responding.
The ambiguity lasted for a long time.
Kitakami Yoru let out a breath, put on an incredibly solemn expression, and even took the initiative to release Fujiwara Chika.
He shifted his hips, creating a space of about two fists between them.
This abnormal behavior left Fujiwara Chika bewildered; she stared blankly at Kitakami Yoru, even forgetting to ask why.
"Chika-chan, will you be with me?"
Kitakami Yoru used the most intimate tone of his life to call Fujiwara Chika’s name, his smile so gentle it could make one swoon.
With that, Kitakami Yoru stared straight at Fujiwara Chika, his eyes unblinking.
Even if a volcano erupted or a tsunami tore the world apart...
