Chapter 425

~7 min read 1,370 words

"Understood, I'll find that man's residence as soon as possible." The burly man replied immediately, his expression solemn.

The blonde woman nodded, leading her followers onto a bus that drove straight toward the southern district of Pengjie City.

In the grand hall of the southern district villa, Mr. Sai, dressed as Li Xiaodao, sat in the main seat, while Cindy, who now bore the aura of a minor crime boss, spoke rapidly.

"You say someone is offering a reward for Mr. Sai's whereabouts, and even your Bloodhand Gang received the wanted poster?" Li Xiaodao asked, frowning after listening.

"Yes, Xiao Dao Brother knows I'm now the third-in-command of the gang, so I was the first to access this information."

With the methods of nearby gangs, information about Mr. Sai purchasing this villa would be obtained by the Bloodhand Gang within a day at most—then trouble would be immense."

You must warn Mr. Sai immediately. I'll try to delay the Bloodhand Gang's actions, but I doubt I can hold them long." Cindy replied, her face filled with anxiety.

"I understand. Return to the Bloodhand Gang and delay them as much as you can." Li Xiaodao exhaled, his expression grave.

Cindy nodded without a word and left the villa.

After Cindy's figure vanished from the hall, Li Xiaodao did not immediately make a call. Instead, he rose and headed toward a room in the villa's basement.

When the room's door swung open, it revealed a row of over a dozen surveillance screens of varying sizes.

Each screen displayed different corners around the villa.

Li Xiaodao fixed his gaze on one particular screen.

On the feed, Cindy hurried out through the villa's courtyard gate, climbed into a black sedan outside, and departed.

No anomalies appeared on any of the other surveillance screens.

Only then did Li Xiaodao pull out a black cellphone and dial a number.

After a series of "beep-beep" tones, the call was answered, and Wang Yu's calm voice came through:

"What is it?"

"Sir, I think I've been exposed, but I'm not sure if Cindy has betrayed me. I'll stall the pursuers here—you must leave Pengjie City immediately and go to the address in the text message. Support personnel will meet you there." Li Xiaodao spoke quickly, then hung up, sent a text, and carried the phone into an adjacent suite.

He skillfully removed the SIM card from the phone and dropped it into the toilet. With a "gurgle," the water flushed it away without a trace.

The phone itself was tossed into a box in the room resembling a microwave, and he turned the switch.

Sparks flashed inside the box; the phone trembled, emitting puffs of gray smoke, rapidly melting half its body, exposing exposed electronic components.

At that moment, Li Xiaodao pulled a rectangular cabinet from beneath a wooden bed. Opening it revealed several glossy, blackened long and short firearms, with a thick layer of bright yellow bullets beneath them.

Li Xiaodao dragged the weapon cabinet back into the surveillance room, observing each screen while methodically checking each firearm, his movements calm and practiced—as if he had done this countless times.

Suddenly, his actions froze. His eyes locked onto one surveillance screen.

On the feed, several small buses sped toward the villa and stopped at the back gate.

A large group of young men leapt out, wielding various firearms. Their clothing and chaotic movements clearly marked them as a gang.

From the lead bus jumped a young Asian woman, fair-skinned and beautiful—clearly Ouyang Jia, who had been meeting Li Xiaodao frequently these past few days.

Li Xiaodao stared at the young woman's face for a moment, then lowered his gaze and continued checking the firearm in his hand, his expression unreadable.

Wang Yu glanced at the disconnected call on his phone, his brow slightly furrowed.

At that moment, a text alert chimed on his phone.

He opened the message, deleted it, then murmured: "Carloside. How convenient."

The next instant, Wang Yu put away his phone, sat cross-legged on the spot, and formed a hand seal, connecting his spiritual awareness to the two spirit fragments attached to the White Bone Demon.

He felt his consciousness flicker, and suddenly his viewpoint appeared within a dark, cramped space—walls of metallic sheen surrounded him.

This White Bone Demon, no larger than a bean, had clearly been placed inside a metal box.

But such a metal container could never block spiritual awareness. Had the distance not been so great, he could have let his spirit drift outside the box entirely—but now, he could still use this White Bone Demon to observe the outside.

The White Bone Demon's hands formed a seal, and its body surged upward, growing rapidly.

"Boom!"

The half-foot-tall White Bone Demon kicked open the lid with one foot, and faint white light poured in.

Wang Yu's spiritual awareness swept the scene—and he paused slightly.

Before him was still a larger metallic space. Nearby lay bars of gold and stacks of banknotes—clearly a safe.

This White Bone Demon had first been sealed in a metal box, then locked inside a safe. Clearly, someone treated it with extreme caution.

As Wang Yu contemplated this, he commanded the White Bone Demon to flip its palm. A thin, white bone dagger slowly emerged from its palm.

"Shhh." "Shhh."

The black metal wall split inward like tofu. A metal panel fell silently. The half-foot-tall White Bone Demon leapt out.

Glancing around, it was a small office—empty and silent—but faint voices drifted from the adjacent room.

The White Bone Demon moved soundlessly to the door, peered through a crack, and the scene outside came into view, accompanied by clear arguments.

"No matter what method you use, you must find the real 'Mr. Sai.' If you fail, your Bloodhand Gang has no reason to exist." In the center of the room, a police officer in an elite uniform, with a large gold tooth in his mouth, crossed his arms and spoke harshly.

"Director York, I've followed your orders and met Li Xiaodao personally. Mr. Sai is very likely returning to the villa to see him again. All you need to do is wait here for news." Opposite the officer, Cindy stood in a high-end suit, a cigar between his fingers, his face tense.

"The police have monitored all phone lines in the villa district. Li Xiaodao did make one outgoing call, but his phone used encrypted communication—we can't intercept its content. Are you certain the real Mr. Sai will return to the villa?" the officer asked skeptically.

"Honestly, Li Xiaodao is Mr. Sai's trusted confidant. I'm merely a subordinate he happened to recruit. Earlier, I deliberately leaked rumors to Li Xiaodao to force him to contact Mr. Sai. Logically, if Mr. Sai learns of danger, he'll come to the villa to meet his confidant first." Cindy took a deep drag from his cigar, forcing calm as he replied.

"Director York, I believe Cindy's judgment is correct. We only need patience. I've heard Mr. Sai is a psychic. If he truly appears, are you certain your police force can capture him?" The third person in the room—a middle-aged man with slightly curly hair and blood-red gloves—spoke gravely.

"Don't worry. Our orders only require us to confirm Mr. Sai's exact location. The actual arrest will be handled by the British Commonwealth. They're already en route—several high-level psychics are coming. Mr. Sai won't escape." Officer York sneered.

"I hope so. Otherwise, if he escapes, I'm in deep trouble." Cindy crushed the half-smoked cigar under his foot, as if trying to hide his fear.

"Heh, Cindy, don't worry. No matter how strong Mr. Sai is, he can't surpass the British Commonwealth."

"Your choice this time was correct. Director York said that if they capture Mr. Sai, the police will secretly help your Bloodhand Gang rise to become one of the largest gangs in the southern district—and you'll rise to second-in-command, just below me." The man with the blood-red gloves comforted Cindy.

As Officer York opened his mouth to speak further, his belt-mounted phone suddenly rang.

After answering it, his face turned pale, and he blurted out:

"What? Another gang has stormed the villa—they're already in fire with those inside."
