Chapter 451
“Is there currently a gene injection called ‘Jin Yuan’ in the country?” Wang Yu seemed to have prepared this question in advance.
“Jin Yuan? Where did you hear about this?”
“It’s a trial gene agent just developed this year by the British Commonwealth. Its data should still be classified. Though in your era it’s only a half-finished product, in the future it will become a highly successful agent that enhances fire-based psychic abilities.”
“So such a gene agent really exists—and can significantly boost fire-based psychic abilities? But what do you mean by ‘half-finished’?” Wang Yu didn’t answer Dr. Chen’s question but asked one of his own.
“In the future Blue Star Alliance, gene agents, though extremely valuable, have become essential resources for official mech pilots and high-tier psychics. But most of the primary raw materials for gene agents are derived from materials taken from Cloud Beasts.”
“This ‘Jin Yuan’ gene agent is no different. Although its formula was brought from the future, due to the lack of necessary Cloud Beast materials, its effectiveness is greatly diminished—it’s merely a half-finished product.”
“I see. Then my first request is the formula for the Jin Yuan gene agent, and also a batch of these half-finished gene injections?” Wang Yu thought for a moment and said.
“The formula is no problem—I can give it to you later.”
“But as for the finished agent, since this gene agent has just been successfully tested, there are only a few samples. The lab environment and manufacturing equipment requirements are extremely high—even a temperature fluctuation of a few degrees could cause the production to fail. Thus, existing products are extremely scarce.”
“If you absolutely need it, I can have the British Commonwealth lab produce a batch overnight—it should arrive at the base in a few days, but I can’t say exactly how much.”
“I don’t know why you want this gene agent, but I must warn you: without fire-based psychic abilities, your body can’t withstand it. Don’t dare inject yourself recklessly.”
“Don’t worry, Doctor. I wouldn’t do something so foolish.”
“I merely cultivated a powerful fire-based Foundation Establishment technique in the cultivation world, and I need a great deal of related secret medicines to continue. I only want to study this gene agent to see if I can draw some inspiration from it.”
“That’s your first request. What’s your second?”
“My second request is access permission to the Superbrain Taiyuan.”
“That’s impossible. Taiyuan involves too many secrets. Only a handful of people in China have independent access authorization to it. Even if I agreed, the higher-ups wouldn’t approve.”
“If full access permission isn’t possible, what if I only ask for access to Taiyuan’s ‘Blue Star Alliance Grand Armory’?”
“Blue Star Alliance Grand Armory?” Dr. Chen frowned slightly, asking again uncertainly.
“Yes—the browsing permission for the ‘Blue Star Alliance Grand Armory.’ You know, I’m collecting data on various martial arts from Blue Star. Granting me access to just this database shouldn’t be a problem, right?”
“If Taiyuan truly has such a thing as the ‘Blue Star Alliance Grand Armory,’ applying for separate authorization for you shouldn’t be an issue.”
“Doctor, what do you mean by that?” Wang Yu’s heart tightened.
“I mean clearly: the Superbrain Taiyuan has no such thing as the ‘Blue Star Alliance Grand Armory.’ Even in our era, no supercomputer ever had such a name.”
“Doctor, are you certain?” Wang Yu was startled, his expression shifting several times.
“If you’re unsure, I can ask Lei Sa for you?” Dr. Chen’s eyes flickered.
“Then I’d be grateful, Doctor.” After several rapid thoughts, Wang Yu exhaled softly.
“Lei Sa, have you ever heard of the name ‘Blue Star Alliance Grand Armory’?” Dr. Chen pulled out a black phone with swift motion, dialed a number, and asked directly.
“Blue Star Alliance Grand Armory? What’s that? I’ve never heard of it. Is it some kind of information database related to martial arts in the Alliance?”
“You once handled supercomputer maintenance for the Alliance. Could it be some secret database hidden within one of the supercomputers, just not made public?”
“Impossible. Any information database bearing the name ‘Blue Star Alliance’ must be approved by a vote of the Alliance Council before being established on any of the three supercomputers.”
“Without the Council’s authorization, not even the vice-chairmen have the power to have a supercomputer secretly create one. The supercomputers won’t obey such orders.”
“Understood. Thank you.”
After hanging up, Dr. Chen said to Wang Yu in a calm tone:
“I don’t know where you heard of this so-called Grand Armory, but neither the current Superbrain nor the future Alliance supercomputers have any record of it. You can make another request.”
Wang Yu, having witnessed all this, fell into silence.
What exactly was this “Blue Star Alliance Grand Armory”?
My “Taiyuan Auxiliary System” has mentioned this name multiple times, yet neither the current Blue Star Superbrain nor the future Alliance supercomputer can find any trace of it.
Are Dr. Chen and Lei Sa lying to me together, or is there some hidden truth I don’t know?
Or is this “Grand Armory” truly unrelated to both the current and future “Taiyuans,” and have I simply mistaken my target?
Wang Yu’s mind raced through countless thoughts. He forcibly suppressed his shock, thought for a moment longer, then said to Dr. Chen:
“Since Mr. Lei Sa also says this, perhaps I was mistaken. If so, I’ll change my second request: I’d like you to arrange for me to receive basic instruction from an expert in mech manufacturing.”
“You want to learn about mech manufacturing?” Dr. Chen was genuinely surprised.
“Yes. In the cultivation world, there’s a specialized art called Puppetry, focused on crafting and controlling puppets. Many large puppets resemble our Blue Star mechs. I want to understand mech manufacturing knowledge and see if I can draw inspiration from the cultivation world’s puppet techniques.”
