Chapter 78: Launch Announcement

~2 min read 319 words

It’s been nearly two years since my last novel launched, and I’ve forgotten how to write an announcement.

As usual, thank you to Editor Tiger Fang for all your work, and to all readers for your continued support, monthly votes, and tips.

The launch time is tomorrow at 12:00 noon; there may be a slight delay, but only by a few minutes.

I’m embarrassed to admit I’ve used up nearly all my pre-written drafts due to plot revisions and the New Year holiday.

So on launch day, I can only deliver five chapters; if first-month subscriptions exceed 5,000, I’ll add one more, and if they exceed 8,000, I’ll add two more.

A friend also tipped me a Grand Patron reward—I’ll add one extra chapter after launch to make up for it.

The entertainment industry is fiercely competitive now; after launch, I’ll try my best to write more—though I can’t promise ten thousand words a day, I won’t settle for just the daily minimum of six thousand.

In short, judge me by my performance!

Regarding plot, many readers have said the pacing is too slow—but that’s intentional.

My previous two novels moved too fast in the early stages: the protagonist rose too quickly, and later I couldn’t write him effectively because his status became too high. This time, I’ve learned from those mistakes.

Of course, even with slower pacing, I still aim to deliver satisfying moments; I’m trying hard to strike a balance—keeping the story steady yet enjoyable.

And about the female leads everyone’s asking about:

I’ve said in the group chat: probably three or four fixed ones, with the rest as side relationships.

But this is only tentative—I can’t say whether it’ll change, and I’ve already rewritten and reversed my decisions more than once.

Finally, I’m asking you all for your first-month subscriptions—they’re vital to the novel’s success and future recommendations.

Fatty thanks you.
