Chapter 43

~6 min read 1,184 words

Coming to the Stark family villa again, Henry drove a Cadillac 3rd generation DeVille, a '65 model classic car.

He stood by the passenger seat, holding a red rose, welcoming Ms. Katharine Hepburn into the car.

I saw this eighty-four-year-old grandmother, wearing a violet lady's suit, and a wide-brimmed silk sun hat, combined with white long gloves. The style is retro, but it shows her elegant temperament.

Henry presented the flowers and praised: "Katherine, you are really especially beautiful today."

"Your mouth is really sweet. It's just that I only have one flower today." Katherine saw the bouquet on the back seat at a glance and joked.

"A beautiful red rose, one is enough." Henry immediately opened the passenger door and made a "please" gesture.

Katherine tapped Henry's head with the red rose and said, "Your brain is really fast. I have to doubt, if I were sixty years younger, would I fall under this mouth of yours."

"That would be an honor."

Sitting in the passenger seat, Katherine tapped the leather pad above the glove box and said: "Drive quickly. Today is the day you, this fan, meet the big star. You wouldn't want to miss the pick-up time and let our big star wait in vain."

"Don't worry, the plane arrives at ten in the morning, right. We still have plenty of time. Katherine, have you had breakfast?"

"I've eaten, the three meals of the elderly can't be as abnormal as you young people."

Henry drove all the way, chatting all the way, and soon arrived at Los Angeles International Airport. After parking, he came to the airport departure hall, and Katherine and Henry, who were waiting for people, played a game of guessing who was the paparazzi.

After all, this is the airport closest to Hollywood, and small newspaper media and paparazzi reporters often wait for rabbits to see which star is coming.

Katherine's arrival did not attract the attention of these young reporters and paparazzi. Their goals were still the kind of popular, or topics with high enough stars. Naturally, they didn't notice that they had changed from the role of observing people to the object of being observed.

Not long after, an aging beauty in a red-dotted ivory white T-shirt, peach-colored pleated skirt, wearing a white silk headscarf, and wearing large sunglasses walked out of the departure hall.

She was carrying two LV large handbags that looked a bit old-fashioned, one big and one small. Stepping on a pair of light pink low-heeled shoes, that outstanding elegant temperament attracted the eyes of most people in the airport unconsciously.

Just like young people couldn't recognize Katherine at a glance, no one recognized who this aging thin beauty was.

Only Katherine greeted her, and gave a big hug. "Audrey, long time no see."

"Katherine, your complexion is still very good." The other Ms. Hepburn also returned a warm hug and greeted her age-gap good friend.

Henry, who seemed to be frightened, after being pushed by Katherine, woke up like a dream and presented the flowers he was holding, and greeted enthusiastically: "Ms. Hepburn, welcome. I am your big fan. Seeing you in person is really..."

Henry, who couldn't say a complete sentence, was tearful and excited, not knowing how to describe his mood.

Have to say, even if he saw Tony Stark, Henry felt that he was just seeing a little brat. There was no feeling of seeing a person who would become a hero in the future, a great person.

But the flower period has passed, and Audrey Hepburn, who is old and frail, even if the skin luster is not there, the silk scarf and sunglasses cannot cover the wrinkles on the face, the kind of excitement is unimaginable for people who have not seriously obsessed with a star.

Perhaps saying that after crossing to this world, the twenty years of blankness and torture made Henry, who had been immersed in the movie channel for more than a month in Alaska, more dependent on this memory than he imagined.

Because the memories before crossing were too far away and too messy. The beauties of Hollywood's golden age were like the dawn of dawn, truly breaking the haze brought by this world at the beginning.

So this mood, besides seeing the star he admired, was more of a feeling of being saved.

Being saved by old John in Alaska was a redemption in the flesh. But being able to see Audrey Hepburn in person was like a redemption in the soul.

"Thank you, this flower is really beautiful." Audrey Hepburn took the flowers and said: "You must be Mr. Brown."

"Yes, Henry Brown. You can just call me Henry." Henry, who finally said a complete sentence, answered excitedly.

Perhaps Henry's attitude was too intense, Katherine was afraid that this kid would really scare people, and used a joking atmosphere to ease the mood and said: "Audrey, do you know what this kid said when he first saw me?"

"Oh, did you also say you were your big fan?"

"No, he said: 'Oh, it's this Ms. Hepburn...' That disappointed expression, I felt I needed to help him adjust his nasal bone."

After a pause, Audrey burst into laughter and said, "Did he really say that?"

"Yeah, can you imagine his expression?"

"I think I can." Audrey said with a smile: "Do you still remember Givenchy? Hubert de Givenchy. When I first visited him, he also mistook me for that other Ms. Hepburn, and felt disappointed."

"Then... we are considered even?" Katherine said.

Audrey hooked Katherine's arm and laughed: "Is there such a thing as even in this kind of thing."

The public conversation between the two age-gap good friends also attracted the attention of others.

Perhaps the meeting of two old women is not a big deal, but if one is called "Katherine" and one is called "Audrey", and is called "Ms. Hepburn", it is not without topicality.

Both were big stars who were used to dealing with media reporters, so they were quite sensitive to the movements of paparazzi.

Katherine first said: "Let's go take the car first. You flew over from Switzerland, and you are also a bit tired."

"Fortunately, I had a good rest on the plane. It's just the jet lag problem, I still can't adapt so quickly."

Katherine said to Henry who was standing stupidly on the side: "Child, help your big star take the luggage. You don't even have this consciousness, I really doubt whether you can do your job well."

"Ah, yes, yes." Henry hurriedly took Audrey's handbag and said: "Ma'am, please let me serve you."

"Trouble you, little handsome guy." The two old sisters with their arms hooked together seemed to have endless words, chatting about their lives during this period.

Henry sent the two to the waiting pavilion in the waiting area, and then went to the parking lot to drive.

He also knew that the interview for Audrey Hepburn's driver had already begun. I just don't know if the first impression he left on the other party was good or bad.
