Chapter 276, your husband is jealous of me again (second update)
"Ahan, there’s no need to rush. Your uncle was just like you before, it’s fine to take it slow," Veya comforted.
Li Mochan looked at the wooden knitting needles in his hands, his brow slightly furrowed, a hint of frustration flitting across the depths of his eyes.
His little wolf cub really knew how to present him with challenges.
"Am I seeing things, Cousin? You can actually knit a scarf?" Jiang Yisheng walked into the room, astonished at the sight of the person sitting on the sofa knitting.
Was that really his cousin, Li Mochan?
Veya covered her mouth with a smile and waved him over, "Asheng, come here."
Jiang Yisheng walked over and as soon as he sat down, wooden knitting needles and a ball of yarn were thrust into his hands.
"Asheng, it’s perfect that you learn with Ahan. In the future, you can knit one for your girlfriend too," Veya joked.
Jiang Yisheng instantly understood, holding the knitting needles clumsily in his hands, the urge to laugh inexplicably rising within him, "Mom, I really don’t know how to do this."
The men from the Jiang Family were simply cursed when it came to needlework.
A yarn ball in the hands of others might become a scarf or sweater, but in the hands of the Jiang men, it would only become a more tangled yarn ball in the end.
Seeing he wanted to escape, Veya preemptively pressed him down, "If you don’t know, then learn."
"But Dad never managed to learn either," Jiang Yisheng weakly protested.
Mrs. Jiang had no qualms about teasing, "Your dad’s clumsy, just like your grandpa."
Jiang Yisheng, "..."
After being forced to learn for an hour, Jiang Yisheng was on the verge of tears.
He looked up at Li Mochan and saw him still struggling with the knitting needles, feeling a sense of commiseration.
"Mom, how about you wait until I have a girlfriend before you teach me?" Jiang Yisheng quietly put down the knitting needles and subtly began to inch towards the exit.
"No way, maybe once you’ve learned, you’ll quickly find a girlfriend," Veya said, not willing to let go of the rare sight of her son’s clumsy side so easily.
Unable to escape his mother’s clutches, Jiang Yisheng flopped onto the sofa in sulk, much like a child unwilling to do homework, "I don’t like the blue yarn."
Veya said, "There are so many colors here, pick one yourself."
Jiang Yisheng looked at the pile of yarn balls on the table with lackluster interest, his thin lips lightly pursed.
"I don’t like any of them."
"Asheng, look at your lack of enthusiasm. No wonder you can’t find a girlfriend. You should learn from Ahan; to wear a scarf knit by someone you love is a kind of happiness, don’t you understand?" Veya tirelessly preached.
Jiang Yisheng chuckled, "I don’t have someone I like."
Veya raised her hand and gave him a smack, laughing and scolding, "You rascal, if you want to learn in the future, don’t come looking for me."
Hearing this, Jiang Yisheng quickly got up, "I’m going to check on Erbao."
No sooner had he spoken than he was gone in a flash.
Veya was torn between laughter and tears, "This child."

After speaking on the phone with Gu Xinuo, Ye Jiuliang, just out of the bath, noticed with some surprise that a certain person had not yet returned to the room.
He grabbed a coat to put on, just as he was about to go out looking for her, the door from the outside was pushed open.
Their eyes met.
A tacit smile emerged on their lips, matching perfectly in curvature.
Ye Jiuliang pulled off his coat and threw it casually onto the sofa.
"I was just about to go looking for you."
Shutting the door, Li Mochan walked over and drew her into his embrace.
"Did you miss me?"
Ye Jiuliang wrapped her arms around his neck, her smile soft and sweet, "I missed you warming up the bed for grandpa."
Li Mochan chuckled, lowering his head to rub her cheek, his voice deep and muffled, "Truly fragrant."
"Li Mochan, do you know you sound like a hooligan?"
"I don’t know."
With that, he scooped her up horizontally.
"Hey, the luggage isn’t packed yet," Ye Jiuliang suddenly remembered the trip back to the capital the next day.
"I’ll collect it tomorrow," the man’s magnetic voice lowered a few notches.
"Then..."
"Shh, I’ll warm the bed for you, just stay put."
The cold, porcelain-like hand began to make mischief.
"Li Mochan, you haven’t knitted my scarf yet, don’t try to weasel out of it, ha."
The deep, mellow voice carried a hint of sullenness, "Can we make it something else?"
"No, I like scarves."
"You little rascal." His tone was full of helplessness, veiling his indulgence for the woman.
...
Before returning to Beijing, the Jiang family matriarch talked with Ye Jiuliang for a long time, clearly reluctant to let her go.
Whenever Li Mochan spoke up, he’d earn a look of wistful eyes from the old lady.
"Xiaojiu, if Mohan bullies you, come stay with grandma. I won’t let him in the door," the Jiang family matriarch said, holding Ye Jiuliang’s hand, reluctant to part.
Ye Jiuliang’s lips curved into a light smile as she agreed to each remark.
A plane waited in the courtyard outside, with the Jiang family matriarch seeing them off personally.
"Xiaojiu, grandma is waiting for your wedding drinks; don’t make me wait too long."
Beside her, the silent Li Mochan suddenly spoke up, "Soon, Grandma."
At that, all eyes turned to him at once.
"Xiaojiu, are you...?" Veya’s words were startling.
Ye Jiuliang hurriedly shook her head, sneakily elbowing Li Mochan on the side.
"No, no, no."
"Hahaha."
Laughter spread among them.
"It’s okay if you are; grandma is waiting," the Jiang family matriarch said, beaming with joy.
"If you two want to have your world, grandma will take care of the baby for you."
Li Mochan curled his lips, ignoring Ye Jiuliang’s warning glance, "Thank you, Grandma."
The Jiang family matriarch’s smile was wide, as though she could already see the little sticky rice ball on the way.
"Yisheng, you have to take good care of yourself too, don’t hide it from us if you’re not feeling well," Veya instructed with care.
Jiang Yisheng nodded and hugged his mother, "Don’t worry, Mom, I will."
"You can let go now; no need to hug for so long," Jiang Hai said humorously, wrapping his arm around his wife.
Jiang Yisheng couldn’t help chuckling, "Mom, your husband is jealous of me again."
With the father and son stirring up fun, any sadness about parting soon vanished, and Veya’s lips curled lightly, "Ignore him."
"Ye Jiuliang."
The crisp voice came from not too far away, slightly out of breath.
Karina ran over in a hurry, unusually wearing a pair of flat shoes.
Ye Jiuliang tilted her head towards her, the corners of her red lips turning up, "Why are you here?"
Karina faced the gazes of everyone, her cheeks slightly flushed.
She cleared her throat, "Ye Jiuliang, can you come here, I have something to tell you."
Ye Jiuliang smiled softly, handed her coat to Li Mochan, and walked towards her.
Everyone watched their retreating backs, sharing a knowing smile.
Under the tree, Karina stared at Ye Jiuliang but hesitated to speak.
"Why are you looking at me like that, can’t bear to see me go?" Ye Jiuliang’s eyebrows arched playfully, her lips bearing her usual nonchalant smile.
Karina huffed through clenched teeth, "Don’t flatter yourself, I’ll be happy when you’re gone."
Ye Jiuliang laughed in a raspy tone, suddenly hooking her arm around Karina’s neck, causing the latter to jump in surprise.
About to pull away, the woman’s laughter-tinged voice sounded close to her ear, "Even though you cry a lot and are a bit of a scaredy-cat, I might reluctantly take you climbing trees next time. Let’s save the roast chicken for next time, too."
