Chapter 301, lost at home again (fifth watch)
Ye Jiuliang raised an eyebrow, "Master Jiu doesn’t give you the option to choose. You have to go whether you like it or not."
A servant brought in some juice, and Li Mochan reached out to take it, his voice icy, "Wei Bei."
After receiving the message, Wei Bei hurried over and heard Li Mochan call him before he even had a chance to catch his breath.
"Master."
"Take her away," he ordered.
Wei Bei looked at Liao Ya, and his gaze fell on her heavily pregnant belly. He smirked sarcastically.
He was also at Futeng Hotel that day. Could it be that she had invisibly found her way to his master’s place?
"Don’t, I don’t want to go," Liao Ya said as she saw him approaching and finally lost her composure.
Everyone present wasn’t stupid; seeing her reaction, they had already concluded that she was there to swindle, and the child in her belly could very well be anyone’s bastard.
Thinking she could take advantage of the situation to slander Li Mochan, she really must have the gall of a bear and the heart of a leopard.
Liao Ya, weak as she was, had barely taken a few steps before Wei Bei caught her.
"Let go of me, let go..."
Ye Jiuliang gave her a look, while Li Mochan walked over to her and handed her a mobile phone.
It was a call from Ji Mingqian.
Taking the phone, she pressed the answer button, "Aqian."
"Ajiu, I found out that woman has recently been close to Fang Hui from the Li Family. I’ve sent the rest to your phone," Ji Mingqian said.
Ye Jiuliang’s cold eyes narrowed, and a cold smile curled at the corner of her lips.
"I know."
After hanging up the phone, she took a step forward, "Wei Bei, let her go."
Wei Bei released his grip, and Liao Ya clutched her wrist, her eyes timidly looking at them.
Ye Jiuliang stepped forward, placed her hand on Liao Ya’s shoulder, and whispered in her ear, "The person behind you is Fang Hui, right?"
"You..." Liao Ya turned deathly pale.
"Now, keep quiet and follow him out of here. Otherwise, don’t blame me for being merciless." Ye Jiuliang watched her reaction and probably had a good idea of the situation.
The others heard what Ye Jiuliang whispered into Liao Ya’s ear, and they could see her face was pale and her eyes were filled with shock.
"So, whose child is it?" Ye Liang withdrew her hand and asked coolly.
Liao Ya looked around at the people present and finally broke down, "I was delusional. The child isn’t Master Li’s."
After speaking, she looked down, not daring to meet anyone’s gaze.
Even though they had their suspicions, the crowd still couldn’t help but feel a poignant sense of disbelief.
After making such a scene, she still ended up in Ye Jiuliang’s hands.
It seemed that from now on, anyone who thought about targeting Li Mochan would have to consider Ye Jiuliang, the fierce god, first.
Tough and unyielding, she knew all kinds of people from different walks of life—truly a tough nut to crack.
"Wei Bei, take her away," Ye Jiuliang gestured to Wei Bei.
Wei Bei nodded, understanding, and this time, Liao Ya followed him on her own accord.
Before leaving, Liao Ya gave Ye Jiuliang a complex look.
This woman’s scheming and cunning were even more terrifying than a man’s.
"Drink?" Li Mochan offered her the juice.
Ye Jiuliang took it and sipped through the straw.
Her deep and clear eyes casually swept over the person sitting diagonally opposite.
So, you want to play? Fine, she was game.
"What are you all standing around for? If we’re supposed to have tea, let’s have tea. It’s just a little interruption, nothing to fuss over," Ye Jiuliang said nonchalantly, tossing the empty bottle in her hand into the trash can.
She turned her head towards Li Mochan, her lips curled in a hook, and pulled him to walk out with her.
The Li family patriarch watched the two’s retreating backs, his heart filled with mixed emotions.
Stepping into Li Mochan’s bedroom openly for the first time, Ye Jiuliang smirked with a tilt of her lips.
She turned her head to see the open window and was suddenly reminded of Li Mochan’s birthday banquet.
"What are you looking at?" The man wrapped his arms around her from behind, his chin resting on her shoulder.
"Li Mochan, do you still remember during your birthday banquet when you said you accidentally dialed the wrong number?" Ye Jiuliang turned around, a teasing smile flickering in her eyes.
"You knew it was my birthday and yet you didn’t show up," Li Mochan said, nuzzling her nose with a hint of sourness in his tone.
"We weren’t close at the time, and besides, I later brought you two bottles of wine as a gift," Ye Jiuliang retorted.
She poked his chest with her finger and laughed gently, "That night I was racing with a bunch of people. I abandoned everyone just to bring you a birthday gift—that should count for something, right?"
Perhaps at that time, Li Mochan had already become someone special to her.
Li Mochan’s lips slightly curved upwards, carrying her to sit on the soft couch, "Do you want to catch up on some sleep?"
"Aren’t you curious about that woman who popped up out of nowhere?" Ye Jiuliang snuggled into his embrace, toying with the buttons on his shirt.
"However you want to handle it is fine. As long as you’re happy," the defined fingers of his hand wove through her hair. If she wanted to play, he would indulge her—until she got tired of it. Then he would deal with the nuisances for her.
"Master Li, you’ve got so many admirers, and I’m really troubled by that," Ye Jiuliang said with a curved lip, pinching his jaw with her fingertips.
"You little rascal," Li Mochan pressed down on her head and captured her lips with his.
Ye Jiuliang giggled, her eyebrows arching up as she wrapped her arms around his neck, attempting to take back control.
Master Jiu’s competitive desire was evident in every aspect.
...
When it was noon, a servant knocked on the door to announce that lunch was ready.
Ye Jiuliang was sleeping deeply. Upon hearing the knock, her crescent-shaped brows furrowed and she curled up, burrowing deeper into the covers.
Li Mochan dismissed the servant, then turned to see the woman’s charmingly naïve sleeping face and shook his head with a smile.
His little wolf cub was going to be grumpy waking up.
Li Mochan walked over and dug her out from under the covers. Ye Jiuliang, who was wearing a short-sleeved shirt, shivered unconsciously when she suddenly left the warmth of the covers.
"Li Mochan, what are you doing?" Ye Jiuliang burrowed into his embrace, her small face puffed up in irritation, ready to explode.
Li Mochan chuckled lightly, sat on the edge of the bed, and draped one arm around her while pulling a woolen sweater over her with the other hand.
"Little wolf cub, it’s time to eat."
She brushed off the woolen sweater, showing reluctance, and mumbled, "I’m sleepy."
Again she had lost the upper hand and had even made a loss for herself—too much of a loss.
"Be good, we’ll go back after eating," Li Mochan said, holding her hand as he struggled to dress her in the sweater.
Ye Jiuliang kept her eyes closed, too lazy to pay him any attention.
By the time the two arrived at the dining hall, they were the only ones missing.
Seating at each table was arranged by seniority, so naturally Ye Jiuliang and Li Mochan couldn’t sit together.
"I’ll just sit here," Ye Jiuliang let go of Li Mochan’s hand, fighting the urge to yawn.
She had no desire to sit with the patriarch and the others. Eating with them would’ve been extremely awkward.
Li Mochan pulled out a chair for his little wolf cub to sit, and also handed her a can of juice, removing the wine from in front of her.
After giving her his phone and making sure everything was taken care of, he then walked over to the Li family patriarch’s table.
Li Jingxuan and others at the same table saw how Li Mochan took meticulous care of Ye Jiuliang and couldn’t help feeling envious.
Ignoring their stares, Ye Jiuliang put the phone in her pocket and started drinking the juice.
