Chapter 313, Lack of Repair (First Update)
"Jiuliang, are you sure you don’t want to consider another horse?" Jiang Yisheng opened with tact, noting the heavy malignancy of this horse, clearly seeing it was not easy to tame.
Ye Jiuliang pursed her lips, "No need, this one is quite good."
"Let’s make it clear, none of the staff here can get close to this horse. It gets ornery when unhappy, and you’ll have to figure out how to get it out yourself if you want it," Feng Yi reminded.
To bring this horse back, quite a few people had been injured, and in the end, they had to tranquilize it to barely manage the return trip.
Ye Jiuliang stroked her chin, eyeing the flicking horse’s tail, her lips curving into a wicked smile.
Such a haughty horse, in need of discipline.
She reached into her pocket, took out a lollipop, unwrapped the candy coating, and threw it in front of the black horse from a tricky angle.
This move dumbfounded both Jiang Yisheng and Feng Yi.
Jiang Yisheng said, half laughing and half in despair, "Jiuliang, it doesn’t eat lollipops."
Ye Jiuliang quirked her lips with a smile, suddenly recalling something, and looked up at Li Mochan, "Mohan, don’t you think it’s a bit like you."
The first time she met him, he was full of haughty pride, with a face so cold it made people tremble.
Li Mochan looked down at her, his gaze revealing an unfathomable shimmer.
His lips parted slightly, his voice low and magnetic, "In what way?"
Ye Jiuliang said, "Figure it out yourself."
"It, it..." Feng Yi’s voice of surprise drew their attention back.
Ye Jiuliang turned back to look and saw the haughty horse drop its arrogant posture. It lowered its proud head and stared intently at the lollipop on the ground, evidently puzzled.
After hesitating for a few seconds, a scarlet tongue suddenly shot out, grabbing the lollipop from the pile of grass with lightning speed.
"Crunch, crunch," and the lollipop disappeared into its mouth.
"It really ate it?" Jiang Yisheng watched the haughty horse in disbelief.
Where did the high and mighty demeanor go?
Ye Jiuliang cracked a teasing smile, fished another lollipop from her pocket, and whistled at the horse.
Li Mochan reached out to ruffle her head, his eyes filled with indulgence and doting.
"Remember, don’t play too wild, safety first."
Ye Jiuliang nodded distractedly, her agreement couldn’t be more perfunctory.
The horse, with its glossy black hair, turned slowly at the sound of the whistle, its large, shiny eyes fixed on Ye Jiuliang, smacking its tongue as if still savoring the taste of the lollipop.
"You haughty devil, want another lollipop?" Ye Jiuliang taunted, shaking the lollipop in her hand, a nonchalant smile playing on her lips.
The sound of hooves "clip-clopped," as the horse reached its head over the fence, extending its neck to try to reach the lollipop in Ye Jiuliang’s hand.
"Come out nicely, and this is yours. No coming out, no candy," Ye Jiuliang pulled back her hand intentionally, teasing it.
Seeing the lollipop taken away, the horse became disgruntled, stamping its hooves irritably.
"Act up again, and I’ll beat you," Ye Jiuliang’s eyes narrowed slightly, carrying a hint of dangerous coldness.
A piercing chill suddenly filled the stable.
It seemed that the horse understood Ye Jiuliang’s threat as it reflexively backed away.
"Want a lollipop, nod your head," Ye Jiuliang hooked her lips, dangling the bait once more.
Incredibly, the haughty horse hesitated for two seconds, then glanced at the lollipop in Ye Jiuliang’s hand and nodded its big head.
She asked again, slowly, "Come out, follow me, do you agree?"
At her side, Feng Yi stared with his mouth agape, looking at Ye Jiuliang as if she were a deity.
Damned, a horse that loves lollipops.
If they had known this could work, then many staff members wouldn’t have been injured.
The horse nodded again, its temper suddenly becoming gentler.
Ye Jiuliang’s red lips curled slightly as she gave Feng Yi a look, "Let it out."
"Are you sure?" Feng Yi’s hair was in a mess in the wind.
An untamed horse once set free could be very destructive.
Ye Jiuliang nodded, "Don’t worry, it will behave."
"And if it doesn’t?" Jiang Yisheng asked without thinking.
Ye Jiuliang raised an eyebrow, "Then it gets a beating."
Having taken her lollipop, it naturally deserved a beating if it was disobedient.
Jiang Yisheng heard this and looked at the horse, silently mourning for it for a few seconds.
Feng Yi called over a staff member to unlock the stable.
As soon as the lock was opened, the staff member immediately retreated, clearly traumatized by the horse.
Li Mochan put his arm around Ye Jiuliang, but the person in his arms couldn’t stay still and kept trying to touch the horse’s tail.
"Don’t worry, it won’t hurt me."
With those words, she slipped out of his embrace and reached out to grab the reins around the horse’s neck.
"Don’t scare anyone else, walk outside, and you’ll get your lollipop," Ye Jiuliang patted its head and spoke slowly.
The horse shook its head, its big black eyes fixed on the lollipop, drooling all over the ground, and it stamped its feet on the spot, stubbornly refusing to move.
It looked rather dumb and cute.
Jiang Yisheng facepalmed, barely able to watch.
This was even greedier than his family’s Erbao.
Its integrity was shattered all over the ground.
"Are you coming or not? If you don’t move, you get nothing," Ye Jiuliang did not indulge it, stashing the lollipop back in her pocket, her voice suddenly turning cold.
The horse’s eyes, which were shining, suddenly showed a hint of defiance, its hooves scraping against the ground, making a "tap tap" sound.
"Not good, Jiuliang, get away, you’ve angered it," Feng Yi, who had been watching the horse the whole time, saw it rubbing its hooves and his smile disappeared, his voice carried a rare panic.
Before he had finished speaking, the horse suddenly charged out, its powerful hooves unleashing a tremendous force as it thundered away, unstoppable.
Ye Jiuliang was still holding its reins, and she was yanked out alongside it.
Li Mochan’s heart tightened, and he reached out for Ye Jiuliang’s hand but was still a step too slow.
"Jiuliang..." Jiang Yisheng was also startled by the sudden turn of events.
Yanked out, Ye Jiuliang reacted quickly, skillfully flipping onto the horse’s back.
She pulled on the reins, leaned forward, and snatched away the riding crop from the hands of a staff member.
The sky was a clear blue, without a single unnecessary fluff of cloud.
On the bright green grassland, a black horse was galloping at speed, unstoppable as tidal waves.
Against the wind, the woman’s cool voice scattered in the breeze, her arrogant tone tinged with a bit of unrestrained wildness.
"Stupid horse, daring to go back on your word, ate my lollipop and still won’t behave, you’re asking for a spanking," she taunted.
Li Mochan and the others rode out after her, and seeing the figure on horseback in the distance, they breathed a sigh of relief in unison.
"Are you going to behave?" Ye Jiuliang held the reins in one hand and tapped its head with the riding crop.
After all, it was an untamed horse that, when provoked, would have its stubborn temper flare up in an instant.
The horse dashed wildly, its agile body restlessly bouncing, desperate to throw off the person on its back.
