Chapter 488, then take it (third watch)
"That teddy bear." She didn’t leave him puzzled for long, Ye Jiuliang pointed at the teddy bear lying on the couch and said.
"You said you’d trade it for me."
Following her gaze to the teddy bear, Li Mochan was dubious, "Teddy bear?"
She couldn’t possibly be tricking him, could she? A teddy bear was so immature, it didn’t match him at all.
Seeing the disdain in his eyes, Ye Jiuliang found it both funny and irritating, "Now you know how to be disdainful, but when you traded it for me back then, you didn’t find it objectionable?"
"Am I only worth a teddy bear to you, Li Mochan?" she jabbed his shoulder, questioning him.
The last trace of doubt dissipated, and Li Mochan’s face showed an embarrassed expression as he promptly corrected himself, "Actually, teddy bears are quite nice-looking."
Now that he changed his tune, wasn’t it a bit too late? Ye Jiuliang gave him a glance.
Forget about it, he didn’t even believe that himself.
Seeing the conversation drifting farther off-topic, Li Mochan steered back to the main point, "Is getting the marriage certificate a good idea or not?"
Ye Jiuliang looked at him. Was he stirred up by Aqian last night? Why was he fixating on getting the certificate again?
She cleared her throat, "Do you really want to get the certificate?"
Li Mochan nodded.
She decided airily, "Then let’s get it."
She agreed so readily that Li Mochan was momentarily stunned.
"What did you say?"
Ye Jiuliang teased him, "Getting the certificate. What, are you having second thoughts now?"
With a laugh brimming in his clear eyes, Li Mochan took her hand, "Who’s having second thoughts? Let’s do it tomorrow."
Ye Jiuliang laughed into his embrace, grateful that the household registration book she had pilfered from the old man hadn’t been returned yet; otherwise, this would have really been difficult to arrange.

After chatting in the living room for a while, Ji Mingqian went upstairs to rest.
As he passed Jiang Yisheng’s room, he could hear soothing light music.
He paused his steps and raised his hand to knock on the door.
"Knock knock knock—"
It wasn’t long before someone opened the door.
A wave of warm air rushed out.
Seeing the person leaning against the doorway, Jiang Yisheng asked, "Do you need your backpack?"
"Why do you bring up the backpack as soon as you see me?" Ji Mingqian was speechless.
Jiang Yisheng inquired, "Then what do you need?"
Seeing that he had no intention of inviting him in to sit down, Ji Mingqian expressed his frustration, "Do we really have to stand here and talk?"
Jiang Yisheng opened the door wider, "Come in, and close the door behind you." The warmth was nearly escaping the room.
Ji Mingqian stepped in and casually shut the door.
Jiang Yisheng turned off the music and fetched the backpack for him, "Here, it’s yours."
After receiving the backpack and setting it aside, Ji Mingqian eyed the half-completed puzzle on the table and raised an eyebrow.
"You like assembling these?"
Jiang Yisheng replied, "Just killing time."
"I was a bit busy with some stuff the last few days, and the signal wasn’t great there. I didn’t notice your call."
"I know, XaXinuoi Nuo told me." Jiang Yisheng picked up a game disk from the table. "Bought a new video game disk, teach me how to play, will you?"
Ji Mingqian chuckled, "That comes with a tuition fee."
"What kind of tuition?"
"Coffee."
Leaving everything else aside, his coffee indeed was hard to match by anyone else’s.
Jiang Yisheng laughed at how simple the ’tuition’ was, "Alright."
Ji Mingqian got up, shifted next to him, and extended his hand for the game disk.
"Let me take a look."
The two sat closely together, and with a slight turn of the head, their heads could bump into each other.
Jiang Yisheng turned to look and noticed the necklace on his neck, which seemed very familiar.
"That necklace of yours looks a lot like Jiuliang and the others’."
As Ji Mingqian toyed with the disk, he casually responded, "Each of the four of us has one."
