Chapter 528, Concert Mishap (Third Update)
She drew her hand back, and the man followed suit, stepping back.
Li Mochan lowered his gaze to look at her, his tone full of helpless indulgence, "What would you like to do?"
"Not knowing how to ride a bicycle is not something to be ashamed of. Why are you in such a hurry to leave?" Ye Jiuliang’s eyes twinkled with a mischievous smile, "Let me teach you."
Gazing at her unrestrained smile, Li Mochan felt a bit awkward, and he reluctantly uttered two words, "Won’t learn."
Seeing his proud expression, Ye Jiuliang almost laughed uproariously, intentionally taunting him, "Li Mochan, you’re not afraid you won’t be able to learn, are you?"
Li Mochan looked down at her indifferently, "Provocation doesn’t work on me."
Ye Jiuliang’s eyes rolled slyly as she let go of his hand and turned to leave, "Then forget it. I’ll go have fun by myself. There seem to be quite a few handsome guys over there."
Li Mochan’s face darkened, a wave of jealousy washes over him.
The little brat is showing off again.
Suddenly, her wrist was seized by a forceful grip, and a triumphant smile flashed in Ye Jiuliang’s eyes.
Suppressing the smile on her face, she turned to look at the man, feigning confusion, "Why are you holding onto me?"
This overstepping character, I’ll certainly have to deal with him later.
Li Mochan surrendered with a low magnetic voice coming from his throat, "I’ll learn."
Ye Jiuliang grinned and hooked his arm, "Let’s go, I’ll teach you."
She picked a bicycle casually, hopped on it with practiced moves, and rode circles around Li Mochan.
"See? Just ride like this." Ye Jiuliang braced herself against the ground with the tips of her toes, bringing the tires to a stop.
She dismounted and pushed the bicycle toward Li Mochan.
"Mohan, your turn."
Looking at the powder-blue bicycle before him, Li Mochan frowned, somewhat at a loss for where to start.
"Hurry up." Ye Jiuliang saw Li Mochan’s flustered expression for the first time and almost couldn’t hold back her laughter.
Li Mochan straddled the bicycle seat with his long legs and rested his feet on the pedals on either side.
Imitating Ye Jiuliang’s earlier movements, he gently pedaled but the bicycle wobbled uncontrollably.
Li Mochan gripped the handlebars, struggling to maintain his balance.
Ye Jiuliang laughed so hard she bent over watching the bicycle sway precariously.
It was rare to find something he wasn’t good at.
As the bicycle tilted uncontrollably to the side, Li Mochan put down his long legs, his toes touching the ground, and he hastily braked to avoid tumbling into an embarrassment.
"Hehe."
Her unrestrained laughter sounded from behind him. Li Mochan got off the bicycle and looked back at the woman bent over laughing.
His deep voice had a hint of grinding teeth, "That funny, is it?"
"Not funny, not funny at all." Ye Jiuliang waved her hands, laughter still evident on her face.
Li Mochan narrowed his eyes menacingly, "Little brat, you’re done for."
No sooner had he spoken than the figure standing still turned into a blur.
A chill air rushed toward her, and spotting the arm reaching out to her, Ye Jiuliang mentally cursed her misfortune and started to run.
The man behind her was in hot pursuit, and for some reason, Ye Jiuliang found it amusing.
The great Li Mochan was getting flustered with anger.
Lost in her thoughts, she was suddenly wrapped up by strong arms around her waist.
"Let’s talk this out nicely, okay?" Ye Jiuliang pleaded without much dignity, "There are so many people watching."
Li Mochan snorted softly, "Not laughing anymore?"
She wanted to laugh, but that depended on his mercy, Ye Jiuliang thought to herself.
"Not laughing anymore, not funny at all," she said earnestly.
Li Mochan’s tightly furrowed brows relaxed slightly, and out of the corner of his eye, he spotted a fountain nearby and walked over.
"Hey, hey, put me down first." As the fountain drew closer, Ye Jiuliang felt an ominous premonition.
Li Mochan’s lips lifted into a smile, his brain working quite fast.
When they were a little more than a meter away from the fountain, he stopped.
"Feel like playing in the water?"
A deep voice resounded from above, causing Ye Jiuliang’s lips to tremble slightly.
I knew nothing good was coming.
She looked up, meeting his smiling eyes, and bared her teeth, "Li Mochan, dare to drop me and see what happens."
As soon as she finished speaking, she tightened her grip around his neck, clearly indicating that if he dared to drop her, she would drag him into the water with her.
Li Mochan pulled a smile, loosening his grip slightly.
As the sensation of falling overcame her, Ye Jiuliang reflexively held his neck tighter, not forgetting to threaten, "Damn it, Li Mochan, you’re going to sleep in the study tonight."
Just two seconds after loosening his hold, his strong arm caught her firmly, lifting her in his arms and gently bouncing her.
Enjoying her reliance on him, Li Mochan chuckled softly, "You little rascal, always bullying me."
Not being thrown down, Ye Jiuliang got cocky again, lifting her head to peck his lips and asked with a smile, "Then is this kind of bullying okay?"
The tenderness filling Li Mochan’s eyes was nearly spilling over, "Barely acceptable."
...
The concert lasted nearly two and a half hours, ending with a ballad from the new album.
"Encore."
"Encore, encore..."
Fans screamed incessantly, strongly reluctant to see the concert end so soon.
"Yisheng, encore, encore..."
The stage lights dimmed, and then a soft white light illuminated Jiang Yisheng.
He raised his hand to wipe the fine sweat from his forehead and brought the microphone close to his mouth. "Hush."
In an instant, the screams stopped, and the fans below fell into a tacit silence.
Jiang Yisheng curved his lips, his eyes and eyebrows soaked with a warm smile.
He exhaled, slightly out of breath, "Thank you all for coming to support my concert. It’s cold at night; please wear more clothes. There are free hot drinks and snacks outside for everyone."
At these words, the screams surged once again, some female fans nearly bursting into tears.
Our Yisheng is so considerate, aren’t they?
It wasn’t until the screaming stopped that Jiang Yisheng continued, "Thank you for tonight’s concert, see you next time."
With that, he raised his hand and waved to everyone.
"Yisheng, Yisheng..."
The entire crowd of fans shouted his name, the exhilarated atmosphere unceasing.
As Jiang Yisheng was removing his in-ear monitor and walking back, too exhausted to notice the wire on the ground, he slipped and fell into the lift on the stage.
"Thud—"
Jiang Yisheng quickly braced himself with his arms, hitting his forehead hard on the steps of the lift.
The fans, who hadn’t left yet, gasped in shock at the sight.
"Yisheng."
"Yisheng, be careful."
Suddenly, the scene descended into chaos as the staff rushed in to maintain order.
"Don’t push, everyone, just don’t."
"Exit safely, everyone, don’t push."
On the stage, seeing Jiang Yisheng fall down the lift, Wen Rang was the first to rush over.
The other staff quickly followed, crowding around to check if Jiang Yisheng was hurt.
Wen Rang and his assistant pulled Jiang Yisheng up, and upon seeing his bloodied forehead, Wen Rang’s breath caught sharply.
Wen Rang supported Jiang Yisheng, turned his head to his assistant, and shouted loudly, "Get the car ready, quickly."
The assistant hurried off the stage, and other team members rushed to assist Jiang Yisheng off the stage.
As blood continued to drip down, Wen Rang’s face turned pale with panic, "Yisheng, how do you feel?"
Jiang Yisheng’s face was ashen, and a sudden intense dizziness struck him cruelly. If it weren’t for the others supporting him, he couldn’t even stand straight.
He shook his head slightly, finding even speaking exhausting.
