Chapter 53: Explosion Tactics
The confrontation with the Strange Butterfly ultimately ended with Lu Xing temporarily giving up.
But just because Lu Xing gave up didn't mean other players were willing to give up.
A large number of players eager to possess the "Wind-Riding" Painful Painful Minghun chose to hunt the Strange Butterfly through other methods.
During this period, they tried solo challenges, food lures, setting traps, and other methods, but the Strange Butterfly was different from mindless Origin Monsters like Bone Fire; it would alertly observe its surroundings, and even if it temporarily flew away from the bushes, upon returning it would carefully inspect the environment.
Any change would cause the Strange Butterfly to depart.
This led to multiple attempts by player groups ending in failure.
In the end, they could only go to Lu Xing's livestream room, offering gentle persuasion, trying to stir up Lu Xing's fighting spirit, hoping he would fight the Strange Butterfly again.
But after being beaten multiple times, Lu Xing had learned to be smart.
In his eyes, the onlookers in the livestream room were all big swindlers who couldn't provide a reliable plan to defeat the Strange Butterfly, only urging him to keep attempting challenges.
Failure meant no loss for the players in the livestream room, but he had to endure a miserable beating.
The duration started at half an hour.
After this ordeal, Lu Xing's mindset changed.
He decided to temporarily abandon the idea of world travel, focusing on improving his strength, and fight the Strange Butterfly again once he was strong enough.
Another purpose of improving strength was for better travel in the future; who knows, one might encounter strange monsters similar to the Strange Butterfly on the exploration path, and powerful strength could safeguard the journey.
Just as Lu Xing was determined to grow, the purification battle in the Dark Cave had advanced to the front of the Underground Palace.
Upon learning through guidance prompts that the Corrosion Core was behind the palace and that shattering it would complete the purification, players thought victory was in sight.
But an accident appeared at this moment.
Sensing the threat, the Corrosion Core controlled the black-armored soldiers standing before the palace and launched a massacre against the player group.
Every black-armored soldier was once a powerful warrior who followed Ice Blade; although they fought until their life force was exhausted and their bodies were broken, after being corrupted by the Black Tide energy and transformed into Cursed Soldiers, they generally had a hunting level of 25 or higher.
Meanwhile, the average level of players at this stage was only level 10.
Facing the slaughter by the black-armored soldiers, the player legions formed by the alliance of major guilds were no match, and the battle was a one-sided rout.
After being wiped out repeatedly, players logging back into the game began to redeploy tactics on the forum.
During this time, many bizarre brain-hole tactical ideas emerged.
Among these, an idea proposed by a player attracted attention, and a large number of players engaged in heated discussion under his post.
【How to Kill the Black-Armored Soldiers Before the Underground Palace, I Have a Reliable Idea】

Content:
I am a member of the Doomsday Technology Guild and participated in the entire Dark Cave battle these past few days.
Fighting alongside everyone made me feel passionate and excited; I haven't been this happy in a long time.
Now, let's get to the main point.
In our recent confrontations with the black-armored soldiers, we found that our current player strength makes defeating them too difficult; the huge gap in strength caused our hard-organized joint operations to end in failure.
Just now, while browsing the forum, I saw everyone proposed many tactical suggestions, but in my opinion, none of these tactics are very reliable; I feel the only feasible one is the attrition tactic, clearing the black-armored soldiers bit by bit by repeatedly joining the fight after being wiped out.
But this method is undoubtedly too slow.
So I have an enhanced version of the attrition tactic; here I first present my recently crafted custom weapon (Appendix: Analysis Diagram).
Spirit Bomb:
Item Quality: Level 10
Item Analysis Introduction: A custom weapon crafted by player "Weapon Master"; by altering the internal structure of the Spirit Stone to make it unstable, it can be destroyed via consciousness impact to collapse the final support, generating an energy-surge explosion.
The Spirit Bomb I crafted can cause area-of-effect damage upon detonation, and the power is immense.
Here is a clip from actual combat footage (Appendix: Video).
In the video footage, I killed eight Blood Corpses within the explosion range using only three Spirit Bombs.
So my idea is, can we kill the black-armored soldiers by detonating Spirit Bombs in batches?
The only drawback of this tactic is that only the Eagle-Head Demon, Bone Fire, and Qi-Eater monster forms, which possess powerful spiritual power, can control the Spirit Bomb explosion via consciousness projection; other monster forms lack sufficient spiritual strength to trigger it.
There is also an unsolvable problem: throwing the Spirit Bomb requires powerful strength support.
How to throw it is a difficult problem.
The tactic I conceived is to abandon throwing; let players choosing the Eagle-Head Demon, Qi-Eater, or Bone Fire forms charge while hugging Spirit Bombs, detonating the bombs directly after approaching the black-armored soldiers, causing massive damage to the black-armored soldiers through self-sacrifice.
Theoretically, this tactic can quickly eliminate the black-armored soldiers, allowing us to successfully capture the Dark Cave domain node.
The above content is merely a personal idea; if you have different ideas, please criticize lightly!
Comment Section:
Is This Reasonable: Damn, buddy, isn't your tactic just making us act as human bombs to damage the black-armored soldiers through mutual destruction?
Night Is Coming: This tactic is interesting; I think we can try it. This purification mission calculates rewards based on contribution, so there is no issue of effort without return; even if we only damage the black-armored soldiers without killing them, it still counts as contribution, so everyone doesn't need to worry about the cost-benefit issue.
Orange Perfume: This is indeed a game where Law-type Painful Painful Minghun save the world; in the end, it's still us shouldering the mission to complete the purification task (wry smile. jpg).
Dark Land Is Really Fun: Seems like we can try it; a collective charge and self-detonation. If we don't kill the black-armored soldiers, we get damage contribution; if we kill one, we make a huge profit. This could level us up several times, earning a lot of Shou Shou Jili; the process is like scratching lottery tickets, making gamblers go wild with joy.
Wo Si Ni Die: Feasible, absolutely feasible; I raise both hands and feet in agreement, but I suspect the main purpose of the OP proposing this suggestion is to sell Spirit Bombs. You arms dealers in the guild are all crooked merchants; as far as I know, the cost to craft a Spirit Gun is only 100 Shou Shou Jili, yet you dare sell it for 150, pocketing a 50% premium profit.
Weapon Master (OP) replied to Wo Si Ni Die: There is indeed such consideration; considering all players will benefit from this collective action, the crafted Spirit Bombs will only charge the cost price plus a 5% fee.
Qin Ye's idea sparked heated discussion on the forum.
The self-detonation tactic received approval from many players, who believed that since it was a suicide mission anyway, the self-detonation method could obviously cause greater damage to the black-armored soldiers.
Importantly, every explosion was a lottery; if luck was good and a low-health black-armored soldier was blown up, the Shou Shou Jili and Evolution Point rewards would be very substantial.
The post was quickly pinned to the top of the forum homepage, ranking first on the popularity chart.
This was followed by a large number of orders.
The core members of the Apocalypse Technology Guild were thus recalled to Emperor Tomb Village by their leader, Yang Yang Tianxuan, to devote themselves to the production of Spirit Energy Bombs.
