Chapter 627: Discharged!

Discharged!

In fact, I've already been discharged for two days.

Hospitalization for endocrine issues mainly involves check-ups. On the day I did the most, I had seven items done—electromyography, enhanced CT, MRI... It was equivalent to sleeping through a hundred-million-dollar machine in one day. It was a "cyber-yellow" experience.

The final result was a confirmed diagnosis. The most miserable part, naturally, is that the thyroid needs to be operated on again.

Speaking of this, I'll take the opportunity to respond to some readers' comments. I was hospitalized at a Grade A tertiary hospital in Shanghai. The surgeon's technique was quite good; there was no pain at all after the thyroid surgery, and I basically didn't feel any complications. I think the surgeon's operation was also fine, and they were thinking of me by removing half of the thyroid to preserve some function.

As for the lymph node metastasis, I only found out after the pathology report. It was two weeks later when I got the results. If there hadn't been lymph node metastasis, this would have been a perfect surgery and surgical result.

Because thyroid cancer is a relatively indolent cancer, metastasis isn't as terrifying as other cancers. However, it is still cancer after all, and the endocrinologist's advice is to deal with it more aggressively.

However, some doctors suggest observing first, and if there is further spread, it's not too late to deal with it. Both lines of thought have their merits.

I personally tend to have it removed later, which is why I'm more conflicted and irritable.

In other words, in two or three months, I will very likely have to be hospitalized again...

Besides that, apart from taking a handful of medicine a day, I have already started entering the recovery period.

I've been playing games for a long time these past two days, and it's truly happy.

Since this book started, the time I've spent playing games might not even equal these few days. I used to always think, "I should struggle if I need to struggle," but after getting sick, I can't help but feel that playing games isn't really a waste of time...

Hmm, I'll let my body recover, and then I'll work hard slowly...

Also, there were many sympathy monthly tickets this month. Even with the sluggish updates, it was still ranked 11th on the monthly ticket list. I feel like it wouldn't be right to just let it rot, so I'll shout twice more:

Requesting monthly tickets!
