Chapter 161: Too Thin Has Its Downsides
"Rock Breathing, Total Concentration Breathing!"
Might Guy concentrated his breathing again and again, absorbing large amounts of oxygen while rapidly gathering chakra, strengthening his body to its current limit.
"Leaf Strong Whirlwind!"
Might Guy continued to attack Muyue.
Boom!!
Muyue dodged Might Guy's attack, and the large tree behind him was directly kicked down by Might Guy, the tree falling toward Muyue.
"Earth Release: Earth-Style Wall!"
Kakashi quickly formed hand signs and performed a jutsu, a thick earth wall with a dog head in the middle rising from Muyue's side, blocking one of Muyue's escape routes.
"Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique!"
At the same time, Obito was not idle either; he immediately used the Great Fireball, which was powerful and cost little chakra, blocking Muyue's retreat in another direction.
Muyue now had a tree pressing down from above, an earth wall blocking his side, a massive fireball blazing with intense flames rushing at him, and Might Guy eyeing him menacingly nearby.
Muyue held up the tree with one hand, switched his breathing technique to Flame Breathing Constant, and then formed hand signs with one hand to release a jutsu.
"Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique!"
Muyue spat out a giant fireball five meters high toward the incoming fireball.
The two fireballs met, and Muyue's stronger fireball directly engulfed Obito's Great Fireball, with the remaining flames continuing toward Obito.
"One-handed hand signs to release a jutsu!" Watching Muyue's actions, Kakashi was shocked; he hadn't expected Muyue to be able to release a fire technique of this level while holding up the tree with one hand.
Might Guy, who was nearby, took advantage of Muyue's occupied hands to immediately attack Muyue, and Kakashi, having recovered his composure, also used the Body Flicker Technique to charge at Muyue.
Now he couldn't even determine whether this Muyue was a Shadow Clone or the real body.
With this level of performance, could it be a Shadow Clone?
Obito also went all out with Flame Breathing, dodging the incoming Great Fireball and charging straight at Muyue.
Muyue pushed the tree in his hand toward Might Guy, instantly knocking him back, then took out a kunai and engaged in fierce combat with Kakashi, who held a short blade.
Under Total Concentration Breathing, Obito turned into a flame generator, continuously using the characteristics of Flame Breathing to create flames and interfere with Muyue.
Might Guy, meanwhile, repeatedly charged at Muyue, attacking him with various high-speed whirlwind kicks.
Finally, Kakashi took advantage of the gap in their attacks, sneakily dove into the ground, and in one go snatched the bells from Muyue's waist.
"It really is the real body." Kakashi looked at the three bells in his hand, a bit puzzled.
"Finally succeeded." Seeing Kakashi's successful sneak attack, Obito collapsed directly onto the ground.
When there were three people it was bearable, but after facing him alone for a while, Obito felt he could barely hold on; it exhausted him terribly.
Might Guy also lay directly on the ground, panting heavily to rest.
He had been fighting Muyue at close quarters the whole time; if he hadn't made a bit of progress when he rushed out to protect Kakashi just now, Might Guy might not have lasted until the end.
Kakashi was actually very tired too; he was the one who had endured pressure first. Seeing his teammates resting, Kakashi also sat down to rest.
Under the dusk, the three disciples beside Muyue each adopted different ways of resting, only Muyue remained standing.
"Very good, you completed the training through cooperation." Muyue also sat down and said with a smile.
Although it was the result of him heavily holding back, the three's cooperation was indeed good, especially the first wave; if it were a more ordinary jonin, they might really not have been able to handle it.
With Muyue's strength, if he didn't hold back, Obito and the others would have no chance. With the Byakugan, Transparent World, and perfect Thunder Breathing, it would be strange if Muyue could actually be ambushed.
"Captain Hasu, did you go change clothes in the middle?" Kakashi voiced the doubt in his heart.
"Mm, I went home in the middle and changed out of my dirty clothes." Muyue nodded in reply.
He had gone back to cook, so he also took a bath and changed clothes.
Kakashi's mouth twitched; turns out he had overthought it. Sometimes being too observant isn't a good thing.
"Next is time to replenish energy." Muyue got up, quickly brought over the prepared food, and distributed it to the three.
"Today we have grilled fish and tempura!" Obito eagerly opened the lunchbox, and seeing the abundant food inside, he couldn't help swallowing, shouted "Itadakimasu!" and then quickly started wolfing down.
"Only by replenishing energy in time can youth burn more fiercely. I'm digging in!" Might Guy opened his lunchbox, caught the aroma, and immediately began wolfing down his food.
Watching Obito and Might Guy eat as if they were afraid someone would steal their food, Kakashi felt a bit odd. He was indeed a little tired, but not to that extent.
Kakashi opened his own lunchbox and felt that Muyue might actually have some skill. The dishes themselves were beautifully shaped and arranged.
He picked up a fried shrimp and put it in his mouth, biting through the crispy coating. Instantly, Kakashi felt the sealed-in juices explode in his mouth, a combination of crispy, tender, fresh, and other textures giving him an unprecedented enjoyment.
In a daze, Kakashi seemed to enter an underwater world. There, he didn't need to train or take missions; he just swam around freely every day.
"Delicious!" Kakashi said subconsciously.
When Kakashi came to, he quickly looked around a few times, only to find that no one was using ninjutsu; everyone was eating.
Kakashi admitted he had underestimated Muyue's cooking skills. If he had failed the training and missed out on food of this level, it would indeed have been a pity.
The more Kakashi ate, the better it tasted, and eventually he ate faster and faster. As he ate, suddenly his chopsticks hit nothing. Only then did Kakashi realize the lunchbox was empty, and he still craved more.
"I'm satisfied. No regrets today," Obito said with a naive grin as he lay on the ground.
He had received Muyue's praise and eaten delicious food. Except for Rin not being here, today was perfect.
"Kakashi, you should really thank me and Guy. If it weren't for us, you would have had to slink off and buy food on the street today," full-bellied Obito began settling scores.
"You clearly said it was your real body, yet you called it a Shadow Clone and told us not to come out."
"This time it was indeed a misjudgment on my part, but if that really had been a Shadow Clone, your actions would only have led to the training failure," Kakashi said.
He admitted that the Shadow Clone part was a misjudgment; he was wrong. But he didn't think his decision-making was wrong.
If this were an actual mission, Obito and Might Guy would only have caused the mission to fail completely, losing any chance of success.
"You're just stubborn. How can you call yourself a ninja if you don't act when your comrade is in danger?" Having finally caught an opportunity, Obito went all out.
"No matter how many times I encounter this situation, I will only make this one choice."
Kakashi remembered the kick Might Guy had made to step forward, and oddly enough, he didn't immediately refute Obito.
"You disobeyed orders." However, Kakashi quickly found a point to attack Obito.
Muyue didn't stop them; she watched everything with a smile, only speaking when it was time to dismiss:
"Tomorrow we'll officially start taking on missions."
