Chapter 391: Mission Harvest, Obito's Life Mission Settlement
"Naruto, are you all right? Are you okay?" Sakura Haruno shook the unconscious Naruto Uzumaki as she asked.
Hearing his teammate's call, Naruto Uzumaki opened his eyes somewhat dazedly, and what came into view were Sakura Haruno and Sai's worried faces.
"Sakura, are you two okay?" Naruto Uzumaki asked with concern, seeing his two long-unseen teammates.
"You idiot, what could happen to us? You and Captain Yamato were the ones caught up in the Dragon Vein's energy." Sakura Haruno pressed her forehead with a speechless sigh.
Sakura Haruno quickly checked Naruto Uzumaki and Yamato's bodies and, finding them both perfectly healthy, relaxed.
Naruto Uzumaki scratched his head and let out a silly laugh. "Sakura, you must have gotten pretty impatient waiting, right? Mukade has been defeated, we can go back now."
Naruto Uzumaki felt a little embarrassed—he had been eating and having fun in the past in Rōran, while Sakura Haruno and Sai could only wait here among the ruins.
Sakura Haruno crossed her arms with an annoyed look. "Do I really look that impatient to you? Can't even wait a few minutes?"
"A few minutes?" Naruto Uzumaki was stunned, then looked at Yamato. He remembered he had been in Rōran for a whole month.
Yamato was also very puzzled and immediately asked Sakura Haruno to explain the Mukade pursuit mission from her perspective.
"You and Mukade were both enveloped by the Dragon Vein's energy. I was almost caught up in it myself, but luckily Sai rescued me in time. A few minutes later the energy dissipated, and I just saw you lying on the ground." Sakura Haruno answered.
Sai nodded, indicating that Sakura Haruno's account was entirely correct.
"Naruto, what do you mean by 'Mukade was defeated'? We didn't even see him." Sakura Haruno was also very confused.
Naruto Uzumaki grabbed his hair with both hands, momentarily at a loss for how to explain, and also didn't understand what was going on.
Yamato pondered for a moment but couldn't quite grasp the principle either. He instinctively reached into his ninja tool pouch and pulled out a kunai engraved with the character "teacher."
Then Yamato tried entering the Water Breathing state—no problem at all.
"Senior Muyue's Flying Thunder God Kunai is still in my ninja tool pouch, and I can still use Water Breathing. This isn't an illusion." Yamato confirmed in his heart that this strange journey was real.
"Naruto and I already teamed up to defeat Mukade. Mission complete! Let's return to Konoha immediately!" Yamato said after thinking it over.
Time travel was too unbelievable. Not only would talking about it likely make people think he was mentally unstable, but it might also attract criminals looking to study the Dragon Vein's power. So Yamato decided not to explain for now, and to go back to Konoha to see the situation.
After saying that, Yamato immediately pulled Naruto aside and whispered a reminder.
Although Sakura Haruno had some doubts, since Yamato was the team captain, she didn't ask further.
"I wonder if Kakashi-sensei and them succeeded..." Naruto Uzumaki felt a little anxious inside.
Before coming back, Naruto Uzumaki had already prepared himself for the possibility of disappearing due to changing history. He was very happy to be alive, but he was also a bit worried that Kakashi and Obito had failed.
Yamato was equally curious about this, but his mind worked faster than Naruto's, so he started probing Sakura Haruno and Sai.
He and Naruto had traveled through time, but Sakura Haruno and Sai hadn't. If history had been changed, their memories should have changed accordingly.
"Sakura, do you know a ninja named Hanyu Muyue?" Yamato tested on the way back.
Sakura Haruno looked thoughtful then shook her head. "Never heard that name. Is he a famous ninja?"
Both Yamato and Naruto's hearts sank. Yamato took a deep breath and looked at Sai. "What about you, Sai?"
"No." Sai also shook his head.
"Is the current Hokage still Granny Tsunade?" Naruto Uzumaki couldn't help asking.
If his father hadn't died, technically the Hokage in office should still be Minato Namikaze.
"Idiot Naruto, what nonsense are you talking about? Who else could the Hokage be but Lady Tsunade?" Sakura Haruno complained, feeling that Naruto was acting a bit strange.
"What about the Pervy Sage?" Naruto Uzumaki continued.
"Naruto, I know you're very sad, but he has already..."
After hearing Sakura Haruno's words, Naruto instantly looked dejected, a dazed expression in his eyes.
He felt like they had traveled through time for nothing—nothing had changed. Senior Muyue, his father, still died; Jiraiya still didn't make it; and he didn't know what had happened to Obito and Rin Nohara.
Seeing Naruto like this, Sakura Haruno reflected on her own words just now and found that she hadn't said anything harsh.
"Naruto, what's wrong with you? You seem very strange." Sakura Haruno asked.
Naruto Uzumaki was silent and didn't answer Sakura Haruno's question.
Facing Naruto like this, Sakura Haruno was a bit irritated, and was about to say something when Yamato stopped her.
"Focus on traveling and get back to Konoha as soon as possible." Yamato said in a deep voice. He didn't blame Haruno Sakura, after all, she didn't know anything, but Yamato couldn't let Sakura use her ignorance to hurt Naruto either.
Haruno Sakura nodded, burst out her chakra, and pushed forward at full speed.
Yamato walked over to Uzumaki Naruto, patted him on the shoulder, and comforted him: "Let's go back to Konoha first and take a look. Maybe because history changed, Lord Minato didn't become Hokage."
Uzumaki Naruto took out the photo that Obito had taken of him and Namikaze Minato, nodded heavily, and traveled at full speed.
Actually, to confirm the answer to this question, they didn't need to go back to Konoha—they could just ask Sakura who the Fourth Hokage was. But Yamato didn't say that. He hoped that the time spent traveling would wear away some of Uzumaki Naruto's grief.
None of the four were ordinary ninjas. Under their full-speed travel, they quickly returned to Konoha.
Konoha's Hokage Rock faces were carved into the cliff behind the village. No matter where you were in Konoha, you could see the giant Hokage Rock faces.
Yamato used to like that—just look up and see the great ninjas who had fought for Konoha. Now, however, he felt that being too conspicuous was not a good thing.
Staring at the giant rock face of Namikaze Minato, Uzumaki Naruto's eyes dimmed. They really hadn't changed anything.
Uzumaki Naruto felt a little self-blame. If he had known a bit more, maybe Kakashi and the others could have succeeded.
Yamato started to speak but stopped, not knowing how to comfort Naruto for the moment.
In fact, Yamato's own feelings were also complicated. At first, Yamato hadn't wanted to change history, worried that altering it might cause Konoha's destruction or a major upheaval in the ninja world.
But after getting along with Mu Yue and others, and seeing Namikaze Minato reunited with Uzumaki Naruto, Yamato began to think that changing the future wasn't so bad. If the new history's Konoha had Mu Yue and Namikaze Minato, then Konoha would definitely be no worse than now.
Yamato had no choice but to disband the team first, then go find Kakashi with Uzumaki Naruto, hoping to get some information from him.
"Your mission went pretty smoothly, you're back so soon." Kakashi briefly took his eyes off the book in his hand, glanced at Uzumaki Naruto and Yamato, and said.
With that glance, Kakashi noticed that Uzumaki Naruto's mood seemed off. He closed the book of Make-Out Paradise in his hand and looked at Uzumaki Naruto.
"Kakashi-senpai, do you know Uchiha Obito and Nohara Rin?" Yamato asked.
Hearing those two names, long-sealed memories were reopened. The exposed eye of Kakashi's ordinary eye suddenly constricted.
Kakashi sighed and nodded. "They were friends of mine from before. They died during the Third Shinobi World War. Where did you hear those names?"
Even though more than ten years had passed, Kakashi still couldn't forget those two dead old friends and often berated himself inwardly.
Yamato looked stunned. He hadn't expected Obito and Nohara Rin to have died so early. Could it be that they died to save Mu Yue, sacrificing together?
"And Mu Yue-senpai? Did he also die in the Third Shinobi World War?" Uzumaki Naruto adjusted his emotions and stared at Kakashi as he asked.
Dwelling on meaningless sadness was not his style. If one attempt didn't succeed, he would try a second time. But before going back, Uzumaki Naruto needed to figure out how Mu Yue had died.
Yamato also looked at Kakashi. He felt that Mu Yue's death might be a key point, very likely the reason history hadn't changed.
"Mu Yue-senpai? Which Mu Yue? Who are you talking about?" Kakashi thought for a moment, then asked back.
"Hagane Mu Yue! He was your teacher, Kakashi-sensei! You couldn't have forgotten, could you?" Uzumaki Naruto frowned and asked loudly.
No joke, Uzumaki Naruto felt like punching Kakashi twice right now. How could he forget someone so important?
Uzumaki Naruto's attitude made Kakashi a little unsure of himself, but he recalled everyone who had taught him from childhood to now, and there was no ninja with the surname Hagane or named Mu Yue.
"Naruto, where did you hear this? I can tell you clearly: I have no teacher named Hagane Mu Yue." Kakashi answered with a serious face.
Kakashi's expression looked very earnest, not at all like he was joking.
Uzumaki Naruto and Yamato looked at each other, both shocked and confused.
"How can this be? Little Kakashi-sensei respected Mu Yue-senpai so much." Uzumaki Naruto recalled everything he had experienced through time and space, and his eyes gradually became dazed.
Uzumaki Naruto really couldn't understand what was going on. Even if Mu Yue had died in the Third Shinobi World War, Kakashi wouldn't just forget him outright, would he? Kakashi still remembered Obito and Nohara Rin.
Yamato felt his brain wasn't working well. The situation was completely different from what he had imagined. Not only had history not changed at all, but Kakashi's reaction was also incredibly confused.
"Did something happen to you two during this mission?" Seeing the two acting so strangely, Kakashi asked.
They had seen each other not long ago, and both Uzumaki Naruto and Yamato had been normal back then. So the mission must have gone wrong.
"We were in Rōran capturing the Suna missing-nin Mukade. Mukade devoured the Dragon Vein seal, causing the Dragon Vein's power to go berserk. Then we traveled through time and space back to the past, where we met the younger you, Kakashi-senpai, as well as your teammates and teacher..."
In the end, Yamato chose to tell Kakashi the whole story of the Rōran mission, hoping it would help sort things out.
"Travel through time and space back to the past, and meet a younger me?" Kakashi frowned after listening.
Yamato's story sounded very ninja-like—traveling through time and space, meeting younger elders and past strong people.
But Kakashi could tell that Naruto Uzumaki and Yamato weren't joking—they were recounting real experiences, or at least that's what Naruto Uzumaki and Yamato believed.
"Is it possible that the Dragon Vein energy had a hallucinogenic effect, and everything that happened was just an illusion you both experienced?" Kakashi said after some thought.
Compared to time travel, Kakashi thought this was far more plausible, since he didn't know Hasumi Muzuki and had no memory of meeting Yamato and Naruto Uzumaki during his own childhood.
"That would also explain why you spent a whole month over there while only a few minutes passed here—because it was all an illusion."
Kakashi actually had some experience with this; he had once fallen victim to Itachi Uchiha's Tsukuyomi, where he was continuously stabbed by a ninja sword for seventy-two hours, yet only an instant passed in reality.
"It can't be an illusion. If it were, then how do you explain this?" Naruto Uzumaki pulled out a photo of himself and the Fourth Hokage and handed it to Kakashi.
Seeing the beaming faces of Minato Namikaze and Naruto Uzumaki in the photo, Kakashi's expression changed.
If time travel weren't involved, this photo shouldn't theoretically exist, because Minato Namikaze in the picture only looked about four or five years older than Naruto Uzumaki.
While it was possible to deliberately create such a photo using the Transformation Jutsu, that clearly wasn't the case here.
"Kakashi-senpai, that was definitely not an illusion. Before our fight with Mukade, Muzuki-senpai gave me this Flying Thunder God kunai. Can an illusion just create something out of nothing?"
Yamato took out the kunai with the Flying Thunder God mark from his ninja tool pouch.
"Not just the photo with my father—there's also one with you, Kakashi-sensei."
Naruto Uzumaki then produced more photos: a picture of him and Obito together, a group photo of Muzuki, Minato, and his three students, and a group shot with everyone.
"Obito… Rin…" Staring at the old friends in the photo who looked exactly as he remembered, Kakashi fell silent.
In particular, the photo of Muzuki, Minato, and the three students caused memories to surge uncontrollably in Kakashi's mind, leaving him unsettled for a long time.
"Besides the Flying Thunder God kunai, I can also use the jutsu Muzuki-senpai taught me." Saying this, Yamato demonstrated a flawless Water Formation Wall with no blind spots and a Water Severing Wave with extreme cutting power.
"Kakashi-sensei, are you sure you really don't remember a person named Muzuki-senpai?" Naruto Uzumaki asked again.
Kakashi shook his head. What Naruto Uzumaki and Yamato had experienced was not an illusion, but he truly didn't know any ninja named Hasumi Muzuki.
"If that ninja named Hasumi Muzuki was really as outstanding as you say, and so similar to Minato-sensei, how could I have possibly forgotten his existence?" Kakashi replied.
Now he couldn't figure out what was going on either.
"Tell me in detail about that young Kakashi you met—his age, his ninja rank, and all the jutsu he used." After thinking carefully, Kakashi said.
His memories related to Obito and Rin were already distant, but he was very clear about what abilities he had at each stage of his life.
"He seemed to be about ten, but hadn't had his birthday yet. Ninja rank was chunin. Even though his rank was chunin, his strength was already higher than some jonin. His incredibly sharp Lightning Blade technique, when used at full power in real combat, could one-shot an ordinary jonin. As for jutsu, he mainly used Lightning Release and Earth Release. There was a purple lightning jutsu that didn't need hand seals—it was very strong…"
Yamato recalled every detail about the young Kakashi and told him everything.
Kakashi was stunned. Before turning ten, he could one-shot a jonin? What Lightning Blade technique was so powerful? He was also Kakashi—how could he not know?
At this point, Yamato voiced the doubt in his mind: "Kakashi-senpai, your Lightning Blade technique is so strong now, so why don't you use it anymore?"
Kakashi: …
He didn't even know what Yamato was talking about. Was that really him?
"That Kakashi you met was not me," Kakashi stated his conclusion.
"I don't mean age. He simply isn't me. Not at age ten—even when I became a jonin at twelve, I never had a technique that could guarantee one-shotting a jonin, and I never had a Lightning Release that was purple lightning."
It wasn't just strength and jutsu that were different. Kakashi remembered that at that time in his life he was still in a state of withdrawal. The Kakashi Yamato described was more like the Kakashi of now, just overly serious.
Naruto Uzumaki looked at the photo, then at Kakashi. "Are you saying this isn't you?"
"Even though he looks a lot like how I used to be, he really isn't me."
Kakashi said in a firm tone. Naruto Uzumaki and Yamato couldn't possibly know Kakashi better than Kakashi himself.
"You might not have traveled to the past, but to another world," Kakashi offered his speculation.
"Although that world is very similar to ours—it has a Kakashi Hatake and a Minato Namikaze—it's ultimately not the same world. That world has Hasumi Muzuki, and maybe our world has people who don't exist in that world."
Kakashi stood up, leaped to a tree, and plucked two leaves to show to Naruto Uzumaki and Yamato.
"These two leaves look the same, but if you look closely, their size, thickness, and shape all have slight differences. Maybe the relationship between our two worlds is like these leaves—similar but not exactly the same."
This was the most reasonable explanation Kakashi could come up with, one that could perfectly resolve all existing issues.
After hearing Kakashi's words, Yamato suddenly understood. That made everything clear. Since they had told so many things about the future, yet history hadn't changed at all, that was obviously unreasonable.
Naruto Uzumaki didn't know how to describe his current emotions.
Good news: Obito and the others might not have failed; his father, Mu Yue, and Jiraiya might all live into the future.
Bad news: this future is not their future; his father of this world and his teacher Jiraiya of this world will never return.
Naruto Uzumaki really envied the yet-unborn Naruto Uzumaki of the other world, because he might be born with something that Naruto Uzumaki could never have.
"Little Kakashi-sensei, Obito, Little Rin, do your best!" Naruto Uzumaki silently cheered for the three — Kakashi, Obito, and Rin — of the other world in his heart.
Although he envied him, Naruto Uzumaki sincerely hoped that his other self would not end up like him.
If his father were still alive, and he had an elder like Mu Yue, and an interesting older brother like Obito, then he would surely have a happy and very interesting childhood.
"Naruto aside, how could you, Yamato, be so reckless? Luckily, it wasn't really going back in time; otherwise, your actions might have caused immeasurable consequences." Kakashi casually threw the leaf to the ground and said.
Kakashi believed that changing history would lead to terrifying consequences; Yamato's choice this time was too imprudent.
"I can't help it — I really couldn't refuse your begging expression, Kakashi-senpai." Yamato said jokingly, as if trying to shift the blame to Kakashi.
Kakashi raised an eyebrow. "Oh, is that so? Then I beg you, Yamato, to treat me and Naruto to a bowl of ramen. No problem, right?"
He thought this might alleviate some of the bitterness in Naruto Uzumaki's heart.
Yamato could only agree reluctantly, thinking to himself that the Kakashi-senpai of the other world was better — at least he wouldn't make him treat them.
"Come on, let's go eat ramen. Naruto, eat as much as you want, as many bowls as you like. Yamato has saved up a lot of money, so don't worry about him being unable to pay." Kakashi, with a relaxed and cheerful smile, patted Naruto Uzumaki on the shoulder and said.
Yamato was shocked — Kakashi even knew about his savings.
Naruto Uzumaki hadn't had Ichiraku Ramen in a long time and missed it a bit, so he readily agreed.
But after a few bites of Ichiraku Ramen, Naruto found that the hot ramen seemed to have lost the deliciousness in his memory; it tasted far different from the ramen Mu Yue made, and emotionally, it wasn't as good as his father's ramen.
"Naruto, what's wrong? Is today's ramen not to your taste?" Teuchi noticed that Naruto Uzumaki's manner of eating ramen was different from usual and asked with concern.
Teuchi's words reminded Naruto Uzumaki of the encouragement and support Teuchi had given him in the past. During those days when the entire village ostracized Naruto Uzumaki, Teuchi was one of the few people who did not look at him with strange eyes.
Naruto Uzumaki speeded up his eating. He quickly finished the ramen in the bowl, then showed a smile and said, "No, it's still as delicious as before!"
He would miss Mu Yue and Minato Namikaze, and might even try to find a way back, but he would also cherish what was in front of him.
"As expected, it still doesn't work." After Naruto Uzumaki and Yamato left, Mu Yue found that he could no longer sense the Flying Thunder God kunai on them.
He tried to see if he could use the Flying Thunder God to travel between the two worlds. If it succeeded, then there would be many more choices for the fifth disciple slot, and it would be equivalent to having the resources of one more world.
The result was obviously not possible — it was far beyond his sensing range.
Mu Yue was not too disappointed; he had considered this possibility, after all, crossing worlds probably wasn't that simple.
"I hope everything goes well for them." Thinking about Naruto Uzumaki's life after returning, Minato Namikaze sincerely blessed.
"It will." Mu Yue said with a smile.
Naruto Uzumaki, with the Yang Breathing, would only be stronger than in the original story.
"To prevent history from being changed, I think we should seal the memories of this mission concerning Rōran." Minato Namikaze withdrew his gaze and got down to business.
It doesn't matter if future
Hearing Minato's words, Kakashi and the other two instantly tensed up. Although they had recorded some things about the future, if their memories were sealed, whether that information would be effective was unknown, and the success rate of changing the future would absolutely drop dramatically.
Obito frantically exchanged eye contact with Kakashi and Rin Nohara.
Obito: "What should we do? If our memories are sealed, we're done for."
Kakashi: "Don't panic yet. Don't say anything about changing history. Let's see what Teacher Muyue thinks."
Kakashi forced himself to calm down and used his eyes to signal Obito not to speak. He had guessed that Minato Namikaze didn't want to change history, but he hadn't expected Minato to be so ruthless as to choose to seal their memories.
After all, if their memories were sealed, then all of Minato Namikaze's memories of Naruto would disappear.
"I don't think it's necessary to go this far. If the future is immutable, are we all just puppets with a script written for us? Since the future is not set in stone, why seal these beautiful memories?" Muyue shook his head and said.
Sealing the memories of Loulan had no effect on Muyue; after all, his identity as a time traveler had already made him aware of the entire plot.
If he didn't mind being sealed, with his current level of sealing techniques, fooling Minato would have been no problem, but Muyue still chose to raise his objection.
Because he felt that this memory was a worthy memory for Namikaze Minato and the others; there was no need to seal it away for such a meaningless reason. With him around, this world would not head toward the original future.
Obito's eyes lit up, and he silently cheered for Muyue, hoping Muyue could persuade Namikaze Minato.
"I don't think we are puppets acting according to a script. I just feel that we need to be responsible for the people of the future." Namikaze Minato stated his view. He was not someone easily swayed, and would not change his mind just because of one sentence from Muyue.
Even if that future did not include him, Namikaze Minato still wanted to protect that future, because in that future, Konoha and his child would exist well. But if the future changed, that might not be the case.
"Being responsible for the future has nothing to do with sealing memories. What we need to do is to use our efforts to create the best possible future." Muyue retorted.
"I have never asked Naruto or the others about future-related matters, because I believe that the future that belongs to us should be created by ourselves. The future is never set in stone!"
Namikaze Minato began to waver a little; Muyue's words indeed made a lot of sense.
"Teacher Muyue indeed never asked about the future, and even told us not to ask, saying that future ninja also have their own difficulties." Kakashi immediately stepped forward and said.
"Teacher Minato, I think what Teacher Muyue says makes a lot of sense, and I also don't want to forget the time I spent with Brother Naruto." Obito followed up.
"Teacher Minato, we absolutely will not spread information about this mission. Sealing memories is really unnecessary." Nohara Rin also sided with Muyue.
Muyue walked over to Namikaze Minato's side and said seriously, "Minato, trust us, and trust yourself. There is no reason why Naruto must become an orphan."
Namikaze Minato showed a helpless expression. "I can't win against you in words."
Because of the character and qualities Muyue had always displayed, Namikaze Minato was convinced by Muyue. If there was a choice, he certainly did not want his future child to be an orphan and then suffer so many hardships.
Moreover, Muyue had said they hadn't asked about the future, so Namikaze Minato felt that this should be within a controllable range.
Seeing that Namikaze Minato had given up on the idea of sealing their memories, Kakashi, Obito, and Rin breathed a sigh of relief.
"It really takes Muyue the Sage." Obito gave Muyue a thumbs-up in his heart, glad that they had come with Muyue.
After sending Naruto and the others back to the other world, Muyue's mission was completely over, and they left Loulan the next day.
On the way, Muyue and Namikaze Minato discussed how to report the mission.
In the end, they agreed that they could not report the matter about the future ninja. The fewer people who knew about this, the better.
When they reached a location near the Country of Grass, Namikaze Minato temporarily separated from Muyue and the others to go to the Country of Grass battlefield to find Jiraiya.
Jiraiya also knew about the future ninja. Although Namikaze Minato trusted his teacher's character, he felt it was important to discuss and coordinate.
"Rest today, train as usual tomorrow." After returning to Konoha, Muyue gave Kakashi and the others a day off as per usual.
Although Muyue gave them time off, Kakashi, Obito, and Nohara Rin all did not go back to rest. Instead, they went to the South Border Forest to train.
They were eager to improve their strength. With their current strength, wanting to change the future was somewhat arrogant.
Obito was thinking about whether he should tell Shisui, also an Uchiha, about the future annihilation of the Uchiha clan.
Muyue split off a Shadow Clone to watch over his disciples, while his main body returned home to organize the gains from this mission.
【Disciple Hatake Kakashi, Uchiha Obito worked hard and completed entrustment missions, obtaining Chakra +800. Being led by the teacher himself, additional reward of Chakra +400】
【Disciple Uchiha Obito's strength increased, reputation rose, seniority increased, probability of becoming Hokage increased slightly, obtaining progress reward — Chakra +1400, Ninjutsu Extraction Scroll·S (Proficient level), Fire Release·Great Fire Annihilation (Proficient level)】
The chakra from completing the mission was a bit more than Muyue had anticipated. Since this mission was almost without threat, having this total was already very impressive.
Muyue turned his attention to Obito's second life mission settlement; this was the main reason Muyue had gone out on the mission.
Compared to the ten percent settlement, the twenty-percent-progress settlement gave more chakra, and Muyue found it hard to compare the remaining rewards.
In Muyue's view, the proficient-level Great Fire Annihilation and the Dragon Flame Release Song Technique were about the same; neither was outstandingly stronger.
As for the Bloodline Enhancement Scroll and the S-rank Ninjutsu Extraction Scroll, these two were harder to compare; it depended on what ninjutsu was specifically drawn from the Ninjutsu Extraction Scroll.
This was the first time Muyue had obtained an S-rank Ninjutsu Extraction Scroll. Previously, he had only obtained an S-rank Taijutsu Extraction Scroll, which had yielded the Golden Horizon.
The power of the Golden Horizon was beyond doubt; it was one of Muyue's strongest offensive methods, so Muyue had high expectations for this S-rank Ninjutsu Extraction Scroll.
However, Muyue did not want an offensive ninjutsu this time. He was not lacking in attack capabilities now; he had too many various ninjutsu and taijutsu. He hoped to extract a ninjutsu with strong functionality.
