Chapter 473: A Mission Concerning Konoha's Future
On the first day of the second phase of the Anbu training program officially beginning.
When Mu Yue arrived at the training ground, all forty Anbu and Root ninja to be trained had already gathered, waiting for the lesson to start.
Mu Yue walked up to the ninja and, as usual, first used his Appraisal to look over everyone.
Some ninja also looked at Mu Yue with curious gazes.
Although Mu Yue had only been appointed squad leader a few days ago and had never served in the Anbu before, he was already "known to everyone" in the Anbu before making a name for himself on the battlefield.
On one hand, the fifteen Anbu being trained spoke highly of Mu Yue; on the other hand, it was because Mu Yue was the developer of the Dark Breathing Method.
Since the Dark Breathing Method was very practical and had no learning threshold, Hiruzen Sarutobi very much wanted all Anbu ninja to learn it.
However, because no ninja in the Anbu could be said to have mastered the Dark Breathing Method, the promotion effort had only moderate progress, with only a few talented ninja learning it.
But Hiruzen Sarutobi's actions to popularize the Dark Breathing Method had indeed made every Anbu remember the name Yusheng Mu Yue.
"I am Yusheng Mu Yue, the person in charge of this training," Mu Yue began by introducing himself.
"Today's training will be conducted in two groups. Those who participated in the previous training, move to the right and form a new line. The rest of you stay where you are."
Because both Hiruzen Sarutobi and Danzo Shimura were promoting the Dark Breathing Method, the ninja undergoing training generally had some progress in the Dark Breathing Method, but most had pitifully low proficiency, almost like they had never learned it.
For those ninja who had already mastered the Dark Breathing Method or even reached a proficient level, Mu Yue certainly could not have them relearn the earlier content alongside the new batch of trainees.
After all, everyone present was from the Anbu or Root, and they moved quickly, immediately carrying out Mu Yue's order to divide into two orderly lines.
Coincidentally, each team had exactly twenty people, so the two teams were equal in number.
"Shadow Clone Technique!"
Mu Yue formed hand seals and created a shadow clone, having the clone lead the ninja who had already learned the Dark Breathing Method to a slightly farther spot to ensure they wouldn't interfere with each other.
During the first training session, Mu Yue had spent almost the entire first day without teaching because he'd needed to establish his authority by holding practice battles with all the training ninja, which wasted a lot of time.
This time, Mu Yue didn't need to go through that trouble and could teach normally from the first day.
Although his reputation now was still a bit inferior to Hokage candidates like the Sannin, he could be considered a Konoha powerhouse known throughout the ninja world, and no one in the Anbu could be unaware of his strength.
"You should all know about the Dark Breathing Method," Mu Yue said.
This was a matter mentioned in the materials the Anbu had given him, not something Mu Yue inferred from his Appraisal panel.
All the ninja nodded in confirmation.
"Then I'll skip the basic introduction and start directly with the specific content," Mu Yue continued.
Seeing no objections, Mu Yue officially began the lesson, teaching from the most fundamental breathing posture.
"Maintaining a specific posture while breathing helps you familiarize yourselves faster with the breathing rhythm of the Dark Breathing Method, and that rhythm is one of its cores," Mu Yue reminded them.
Both the Anbu and Root ninja listened with serious expressions.
Two hours later, they had to admit that the legends about Mu Yue circulating within the Anbu contained no exaggeration—Mu Yue was extremely good at teaching.
"No wonder he's the developer of the Dark Breathing Method. No wonder Tobita and the others think so highly of Squad Leader Yusheng," an Anbu ninja couldn't help but marvel inwardly.
When Hiruzen Sarutobi had promoted the Dark Breathing Method in the Anbu, he had found a few Anbu who had cultivated it best to teach, but after being taught by Mu Yue, he found the two methods incomparable—the gap was too large.
Mu Yue's lectures were not only simple and easy to understand, but when they practiced, he could always point out the core problems and help them solve them quickly.
In just two hours, the Anbu ninja had already understood several issues that had troubled them before.
"Next, rest for fifteen minutes," Mu Yue said, then left behind a shadow clone and went to the other team.
Although the shadow clone's understanding of the Dark Breathing Method was the same as the original body's, the shadow clone did not have the Teaching Skill bonus.
Mu Yue planned to teach like "raining dew evenly": first teach one team for two hours or half a day, then go to the other team for the same amount of time, so that all ninja could enjoy the bonus from the Teaching Skill.
After the break, Mu Yue's original body began instructing the veteran team.
While the shadow clone was instructing the veteran team, it did not start teaching the Dark Combustion Technique; instead, it led them in practicing the Dark Breathing Method as a warm-up for Mu Yue's original body's subsequent teaching.
"What you will learn next is the advanced technique of the Dark Breathing Method—the Dark Combustion Technique," Mu Yue said directly, without any preamble.
Unlike the breathing-enhanced chakra mode, the Dark Combustion Technique did not require high proficiency; even those with below-proficient Dark Breathing Method could cultivate it, though it would be more difficult.
The ninja below were all somewhat surprised; their initial expectation was only to refine the Dark Breathing Method during this training, never expecting there would be advanced techniques to learn.
"The Dark Burn Technique can consume the chakra within your body to greatly enhance your strength and speed. You can think of it as temporarily amplifying the effects of the Dark Breathing Method." Mu Yue explained.
The Anbu ninjas all showed expressions of anticipation.
Although Mu Yue's introduction was plain and unadorned, the Dark Breathing Method itself already boosts explosive power, and amplifying it further would make it even stronger.
With just two sentences, Mu Yue successfully sparked the desire to learn in all the veteran students. They couldn't wait to immediately master the Dark Burn Technique and try out the enhanced effects.
"Push your breathing to its utmost limit as much as possible, but don't let it become erratic." Having set the stage, Mu Yue began formal instruction.
Although this so-called Dark Burn Technique had only been developed by Mu Yue not long ago, its essence was a degraded form of the Breathing Method Chakra Mode, so he explained it just as smoothly as the Dark Breathing Method.
"The Dark Breathing was already formidable enough, and now with this Dark Burn Technique added, he's truly developed a secret art that can allow a ninja clan to establish a foothold in the ninja world." Sarutobi Shinji sighed inwardly.
He thought that if Mu Yue's Dark Breathing Method and Dark Burn Technique were passed down as a clan secret art and developed smoothly for over a hundred years, there might well be an additional, not-weak, Hanyu clan in the ninja world.
"Good thing I was selected again, otherwise I'd have missed out big time." Hida Kenji thought to himself with relief.
Normally, even if he hadn't attended the training, Sarutobi Hiruzen, who had promoted the Dark Breathing Method, would certainly have provided an opportunity to learn the Dark Burn Technique.
But the standards and requirements would be unclear, and without Mu Yue's guidance, learning it would be very difficult.
Complete one intermediate-level lesson.
Evaluation: S
Reward obtained: Breathing Method Understanding Boost, Dark Breathing 48, Basic Breathing 22, Lightning Breathing. After the day's lesson ended, the panel displayed the lesson rewards.
Mu Yue shifted his gaze to the first reward, Breathing Method Understanding Boost. The reason he had chosen to grind the Breathing Method was precisely to get this reward.
This was a reward exclusive to S-rank evaluations for intermediate lessons, which could increase his understanding of the essence of the Breathing Method.
After briefly organizing the knowledge in his mind, Mu Yue walked toward Tsunade's house.
Just one lesson reward was not enough to improve his mastery of the Breathing Method. To develop the Yang Breathing he envisioned, he would need to grind more lesson rewards.
Root base.
"What did Mu Yue teach today? Were there any differences between Root and Anbu? How was the teaching?" Shimura Danzo asked the Root ninja who had just finished the training.
Shimura Danzo was very dissatisfied with this training session.
Of course, it had nothing to do with Mu Yue; this dissatisfaction was aimed at Sarutobi Hiruzen.
Because Sarutobi Hiruzen had arranged for twenty-five Anbu to join the training, while Root could still only send fifteen people to receive training, just like last time.
Shimura Danzo naturally couldn't tolerate such blatant double standards. As soon as he received the specific arrangement documents, he rushed straight to the Hokage's office.
Being quite angry, Shimura Danzo overlooked some details this time. As soon as he entered, he was rebuked by Sarutobi Hiruzen for not knocking, and then Sarutobi Hiruzen kept picking on some of Shimura Danzo's minor issues, making Shimura Danzo extremely displeased.
What annoyed Shimura Danzo the most was that even after he went to see Sarutobi Hiruzen, Hiruzen still refused to increase the number of Root members in the training.
Sarutobi Hiruzen's reasoning was something Shimura Danzo simply couldn't refute.
"Root is a subordinate organization of Anbu. Even Anbu only has twenty-five people participating. Why should Root be equal to Anbu?" Sarutobi Hiruzen said as such.
What else could Shimura Danzo say? He could only leave with the words "You'll regret this" and then slam the door as he left.
"Teacher Mu Yue taught the Dark Breathing Method and its corresponding advanced technique, the Dark Burn Technique, today. There was no difference in learning content between Root and Anbu. Teacher Mu Yue taught as well as always." The Root ninja answered each question in turn.
Shimura Danzo nodded slightly and asked a few more details to confirm there were no issues before letting the Anbu ninja leave.
"Hiruzen, you've changed. As expected, not telling you about the Wood Release ninja was the right choice." Thinking about the humiliation he had suffered from Sarutobi Hiruzen, Shimura Danzo couldn't help but curse inwardly.
In the past, Shimura Danzo had considered whether to tell Sarutobi Hiruzen about the existence of the Wood Release ninja, so that the Wood Release ninja could receive maximum training.
For Konoha, Wood Release was a special existence. Many Konoha ninja believed that no Kekkei Genkai could compare to Wood Release, and the strongest ninjutsu was Wood Release.
Because from Konoha's founding to the present day, there had only been one Wood Release ninja: the First Hokage, Senju Hashirama, known as the God of Shinobi.
This naturally led to boundless speculation—perhaps any Wood Release ninja could reach the heights of the God of Shinobi.
Even those slightly more rational would be swayed by the sheer terror of Hashirama's former power and erroneously conclude that even if they couldn't reach Hashirama's level, they should be at least two-thirds or half as strong.
Now Shimura Danzo had completely abandoned the idea of sharing information with Sarutobi Hiruzen, because Hiruzen would surely use all kinds of excuses to take the Wood Release ninja away from Root—and never return him.
Shimura Danzo would never let that happen. It wasn't simply to strengthen Root's power; it was for Konoha's sake.
Because Shimura Danzo believed that only within Root could the strongest Wood Release ninja be cultivated. If the Wood Release ninja went to Sarutobi Hiruzen, he wouldn't be able to unearth his own power as much. That would be a great pity for the entire village of Konoha.
"It's time to check on his training."
Shimura Danzō headed to a hidden spot near Konoha with two of his Root subordinates.
The Wood Release ninja that Shimura Danzō possessed was actually the only success of Orochimaru's Hashirama Cell experiments. However, due to an unexpected factor, Orochimaru believed all subjects had failed, and Shimura Danzō picked up the leftover.
Keeping the Wood Release ninja stationed outside the village was not only to prevent Sarutobi Hiruzen from discovering him, but also to prevent Orochimaru from finding out and demanding him back.
Although Shimura Danzō thought that someone like Orochimaru probably wouldn't remember what his former test subjects looked like, it was better to be safe than sorry.
"Lord Danzō." Yamato called out respectfully upon seeing Shimura Danzō.
"Mm. Use your strongest Wood Release jutsu and show me." Shimura Danzō commanded with a slight nod.
Although Shimura Danzō could not use Wood Release, he possessed the Wood Release jutsu data left behind by Hashirama Senju.
Shimura Danzō mainly taught Yamato chakra control techniques and various assassination arts.
Yamato seriously formed hand seals, then gathered chakra and converted it into Wood Release chakra to activate the jutsu.
Under the influence of Yamato's Wood Release chakra, a sprout broke through the soil and grew rapidly into a tree slightly taller than Shimura Danzō.
After releasing the jutsu, Yamato looked at Shimura Danzō with anticipation.
Shimura Danzō frowned slightly. "Isn't this about the same as last time? Kai, have you been slacking off in your training lately?"
Shimura Danzō had assigned multiple Root ninja to watch Yamato, and received daily reports on Yamato's activities and whether any suspicious individuals had appeared nearby.
According to the reports, Yamato had trained every day as per his schedule.
But based on Yamato's performance, Shimura Danzō felt that Yamato might just be going through the motions without truly dedicating himself to training.
Yamato hung his hands down, pinching the hem of his clothes, with a somewhat nervous expression. He explained, "No, I wasn't slacking off. Lord Danzō, please look carefully. It's actually five centimeters taller than before."
He had practiced not long ago, and he was sure that he had improved a little since Shimura Danzō's last visit.
Until Shimura Danzō spoke, Yamato had thought he would be praised.
"Kai, you are the elite among Root's elites. Your goal is to surpass the current most perfect product of Root, Hanyū Muzuki. In two weeks, you've only made this much progress. Are you worthy of the training and expectations I've invested in you?" Shimura Danzō said sternly.
Having witnessed the First Hokage's magnificent feat of raising an entire forest with a wave of his hand, Shimura Danzō naturally could not be satisfied with Yamato's five-centimeter improvement.
In his view, it wasn't even progress—it only served as proof that Yamato had not trained seriously.
"I... I..." Yamato opened his mouth to continue explaining, but facing Shimura Danzō's stern expression, he finally lowered his head. "Lord Danzō, I'm sorry."
Although he felt he had trained seriously, Lord Danzō, who had saved him, said he hadn't. Perhaps he had slacked off without realizing it.
"It's good that you recognize your mistake. As long as you train according to my plan, you will definitely become Root's strongest ninja—no, the strongest ninja in Konoha, and even the entire shinobi world." Shimura Danzō instinctively fell into the pattern of painting a rosy picture.
Yamato nodded blankly.
In fact, he didn't really understand what it meant to be Root's strongest ninja or the shinobi world's strongest ninja, but he felt that since Lord Danzō said it, it must be the right thing to do.
"But I can also understand your hard work. You haven't eaten yet, have you? I brought you a meal." Shimura Danzō patted Yamato's head and had his subordinate bring out two portions of dinner.
Yamato's previously dim eyes lit up again. "Mm, thank you, Lord Danzō!"
During the meal, Shimura Danzō became much kinder. He didn't say any harsh words to Yamato; instead, he even showed concern for Yamato's daily life.
After finishing dinner, Shimura Danzō patted Yamato on the shoulder and said:
"Kai, no matter what, I want you to train seriously. This is not for me, but for yourself—for Root and for Konoha."
Yamato nodded heavily. "I will definitely live up to your expectations, Lord Danzō."
Shimura Danzō put on a kindly smile, patted Yamato on the head, then turned and walked back to Konoha with his subordinates.
After walking some distance, the kindly expression on Shimura Danzō's face disappeared, reverting to his usual cold and gloomy demeanor.
As the leader of Root, Shimura Danzō understood perfectly how to cultivate subordinates.
Not to mention a child under ten like Yamato—Shimura Danzō was confident that even an adult ninja could be molded into a Root loyalist within five years.
"Even a Wood Release ninja needs enough time to accumulate power?" Shimura Danzō wore a thoughtful expression.
Yamato's growth was slower than he had imagined. Although he could be called a genius, he was not as outstanding as Danzō had envisioned.
"Or is it because he lacks a suitable teacher?" Two ideas quickly formed in Shimura Danzō's mind.
The best plan would naturally be to directly summon Hashirama Senju with Impure World Reincarnation and have him teach Yamato.
Hashirama Senju is not only the God of Shinobi but also the strongest Wood Release user, making him the most ideal teacher Yamato could hope for.
Danzo Shimura quickly dismissed that idea and focused all his thoughts on another.
Nothing else—this was simply too blasphemous, something he couldn't even think too much about.
Impure World Reincarnation, a forbidden technique concerning the dead, was already taboo in Konoha, and the candidate was Hashirama Senju, one of the village's founders. If Danzo Shimura actually dared to do that, he would be a missing-nin the very next day.
"If it were Muyue, he should be able to speed up Kō's growth as well," Danzo Shimura thought to himself.
Muyue's teaching ability was strong—so strong that Hiruzen Sarutobi, worried about Muyue's safety, kept refusing Danzo's suggestion to send Muyue to the battlefield.
The performance of Muyue's students on the battlefield proved his ability to teach, with all five of them, including Rin Nohara, showing genius-level talent.
"Bringing Kō into Konoha would increase the risk," Danzo Shimura began weighing the pros and cons.
Yamato actually had an identity in Konoha; Danzo had helped Yamato obtain a ninja registration, making him a genuine Konoha shinobi, not an undocumented person.
The danger Danzo mentioned wasn't that Yamato would be in peril, but that if Yamato's identity as a Wood Release user was exposed and Hiruzen Sarutobi took him, that would be dangerous for Root.
"If I make proper countermeasures, there should be no problem." After careful deliberation, Danzo Shimura decided to bring Yamato into Konoha.
After repeated probing, Danzo was convinced that Muyue was utterly loyal to him.
With the loyal Muyue around, combined with his Root forces, it would actually be very difficult for Yamato to be discovered.
Danzo Shimura was a man of decisive action. Once he made up his mind, he sent his most trusted subordinate to bring Yamato into Konoha the next day, then summoned Muyue to the Root base that night.
"Lord Danzo," Muyue greeted with a respectful expression.
This time, before arriving at Root, Muyue couldn't quite guess what Danzo wanted from him.
Because on the surface, he already had an important mission that took up most of his time, so he had no room for other tasks.
But after scanning the entire Root base with his Byakugan before arriving, Muyue had a vague guess, though he wasn't certain.
Danzo Shimura was very satisfied seeing Muyue's respectful expression, unchanged for decades.
"I have an extremely important task for you. It concerns the future of Konoha!" Danzo Shimura said in a deep voice.
As the second Wood Release user after Hashirama Senju, Danzo believed Yamato's importance was no less than that of a Tailed Beast.
"I am willing to give everything for Konoha's future," Muyue said without hesitation.
"I'll immediately have my Shadow Clone apply to the Third Hokage to cancel the training mission."
Saying that, Muyue formed hand signs and split off a Shadow Clone, which immediately rushed toward the door, as if eager to dash to the Hokage Building.
Danzo Shimura's eyelid twitched. If Muyue suddenly told Hiruzen Sarutobi he was quitting his mission, given how closely Hiruzen watched over Muyue, such an abnormal act would definitely prompt an investigation. If something was actually uncovered, that would be bad—Root couldn't withstand scrutiny.
"Muyue, dispel that clone. Listen to me first, don't rush," Danzo quickly stopped him.
By the time he thought to speak, the clone had already run out of the office. He worried that if he didn't say something, the clone would have already left the base and charged toward the Hokage Building.
Muyue's decisiveness was too strong—strong to the point of being extreme.
"Lord Danzo, didn't you say you had a task concerning Konoha's future for me? If I don't end this training mission, I won't have time to carry out your mission," Muyue said with a puzzled look as he dispelled the Shadow Clone.
Danzo Shimura's mood was a bit strange now. Although what Muyue was doing was disadvantageous to him, he felt deeply gratified.
"He was about to send a clone to find Hiruzen and end the mission after just hearing one sentence from me."
Danzo Shimura felt that every action Muyue took now radiated loyalty.
"Ahem." Danzo Shimura cleared his throat twice and explained, "Though this task is important, it won't take up much of your time at this stage. You can continue your training mission as normal."
Muyue made an expression of sudden understanding, then stood still obediently.
"Your task this time is to teach Root's Wood Release ninja." Danzo Shimura stopped being cryptic and stated the specific mission.
Muyue looked at Danzo Shimura in shock, as if he had heard something unbelievable.
Danzo Shimura couldn't help but show a smug smile—no Konoha shinobi would be unshocked by this news.
"You are the most outstanding ninja I have cultivated since Root's founding. I believe you have the ability to shoulder the responsibility of teaching the Wood Release user," Danzo Shimura said with an approving expression.
Danzo Shimura felt that Muyue's loyalty to him must have peaked at this moment—after all, he had entrusted even an existence as important as the Wood Release user to Muyue for training.
Mu Yue cooperated by showing a grateful expression, thinking that Shimura Danzo's face was truly extraordinary. From Danzo's perspective, his current strength should be attributable to Sarutobi Hiruzen's efforts, yet Danzo still said those words without batting an eye.
Next, Shimura Danzo walked out of the office, went into the room next door, and brought Yamato into the office.
"This is the one you will be teaching next. His codename is 'Kinoe'." Shimura Danzo introduced.
Yamato had no name here with Shimura Danzo, only a codename.
On one hand, Danzo really didn't know Yamato's name; more importantly, he wanted to make Yamato see Root as his everything and treat his Root codename as his name through this method.
Otherwise, couldn't Danzo have casually given him a name if he wanted?
"This is the Hanyu Mu Yue I told you about before, the most perfect ninja in Root." Shimura Danzo said, looking at Yamato.
He had once told Yamato about some of Mu Yue's exploits, setting Yamato the goal of surpassing Mu Yue.
Yamato looked up at Mu Yue in a daze, and Mu Yue also looked at Yamato with a slight smile.
"So bright."
Yamato only felt that Mu Yue's sunrise-like smile and golden hair seemed to make this somewhat dim office even brighter.
That bright and warm feeling made Yamato unable to help but develop a favorable impression of Mu Yue, even though it was his first day seeing him.
Unfortunately, that brightness soon left Yamato, because Danzo immediately had a Root ninja take him to the adjacent room.
"This teaching session must be conducted in secret. I will have him live in a remote area in the southern outskirts of Konoha. You can teach him at the nearest training ground. Decide the teaching schedule and specific curriculum yourself." Shimura Danzo continued explaining his arrangements for Yamato.
Since he was having Mu Yue teach Yamato, Danzo would not interfere in teaching-related matters, as Mu Yue was truly authoritative in this area.
What Danzo needed to do was handle the secrecy, ensuring that Yamato's identity as a Wood Release user was not exposed to Sarutobi Hiruzen.
"I will certainly live up to Lord Danzo's trust." Mu Yue said with a sincere expression.
After finishing the mission matters, Shimura Danzo gave Mu Yue a large amount of Wood Release ninjutsu materials and cultivation experience, asking Mu Yue to help Yamato plan the best learning schedule.
Finally, it was time to give benefits. For the loyal and devoted Mu Yue, Danzo certainly couldn't skimp on rewards—what if he got lured away by Sarutobi Hiruzen or Orochimaru?
First, Shimura Danzo stated that he would raise Mu Yue's authority among Root ninja to the Squad Leader level, and not just an ordinary Squad Leader. An ordinary Squad Leader can only mobilize ninja from their own squad, but Mu Yue could mobilize all Root ninja below the rank of Squad Leader.
However, since Mu Yue nominally no longer belonged to Root, Danzo could not directly assign him a position in Root's organizational structure, so he gave a verbal order instead.
Danzo's calculations were clever—if Mu Yue ever became disloyal, with a single word Danzo could strip Mu Yue of his authority.
Apart from the position, the rest was money, secret medicines, and ninjutsu.
Mu Yue calculated and found that the most meaningful thing for him was actually the Wood Release ninjutsu in the teaching materials; all that Root authority and other things were insubstantial.
Although Mu Yue had a proficient-level Wood Release, he had not yet learned a single Wood Release ninjutsu.
Name: Yamato
Chakra: Potential: S (basic talent from Hashirama's cells)
Skills: Wood Release (Beginner: 420/500), Earth Nature Chakra Transformation (Proficient: 200/3000), Water Nature Chakra Transformation (Proficient)...
On the way home, Mu Yue recalled this world's Yamato's stats panel.
Perhaps due to a short training time, on Yamato's panel, aside from Chakra and potential stats being decent, the skill section was simply atrocious.
"If there were an extra slot, he'd be a good choice." Mu Yue thought.
To Shimura Danzo, Yamato was a useless brat who hadn't grown up yet, but to Mu Yue, he was an uncut gem awaiting polishing.
Because of the system's reward mechanism, the younger the disciple Mu Yue took on, the greater the benefits. Yamato's poor strength was actually a good thing for Mu Yue.
The only pity was that Mu Yue currently had no disciple slots.
The system was too strict with disciple slots. It had been nearly three years since Mu Yue transmigrated, and he had only obtained one disciple slot.
Mu Yue didn't even know if he could obtain another disciple slot in the future.
After returning home, Mu Yue hadn't been studying Sun Breathing for long when Minato knocked on his door.
"I can confirm the battle time now. Tomorrow afternoon is very free." Minato said with some embarrassment.
That day he had said he might be busy for a few days, but it ended up being nearly ten days.
"Sunday works for me too." Mu Yue replied after thinking, then placed the poured tea in front of Minato.
Training isn't held every day—only six days a week, with Sundays off.
"All right, then leave the venue arrangements to you, Muyue." Minato took a light sip of tea and said.
Muyue nodded to indicate no problem. "If you don't mind, Minato, I'll choose the place where I usually teach my disciples. My disciples will be watching from the sidelines."
Watching a battle between the strong benefits cultivation. On one hand, it provides a clear understanding of higher levels of strength; on the other, one can learn combat methods from those even mightier.
"It's fine—after all, most of them are also my disciples." As he said this, Namikaze Minato grew even more embarrassed. He had been back for over ten days but had only gone to see Obito and the others five or six times, not even half the days.
Namikaze Minato could barely keep a straight face himself. He decided that once he was done with this, he would properly fulfill his duties as a teacher and not let Muyue do all the work alone.
"A battle with the Yellow Flash—how exciting." Muyue teased him a little.
"A battle with the Blazing Sun Muyue is equally exciting." Minato's face resumed its smile as he replied.
He was indeed looking forward to this battle. To make it fairer, Minato hadn't even discussed developing ninjutsu with Muyue. His technique, inspired by the Tailed Beast Ball, was in its final stages—just a bit more and it would be complete.
