Chapter 1353: Disorder Rift Belt

~7 min read 1,264 words

The sight of Order Ruins City blurred rapidly behind him, turning into a dim yellow streak. Yan Buji pushed the Chaos Void-crossing Boat to its limit, the boat's gray-gold runes flashing wildly, even burning his origin essence blood to gain the utmost speed of tearing through space. Fear coiled like icy vines around his heart; he had only one thought.

Flee! Flee this world!

The Amber Seal's guidance pointed to the northwestern edge of the ruins, a perilous place known as the Disorder Rift Belt. Legend says it is where the Dao Realm's laws are most violent and chaotic, space shattered like a wound in the world, yet it also hides a faint glimmer of life leading to other unknown realms.

At this moment Yan Buji had no time to weigh options. His body flashed like lightning, ignoring the stirred law remnants and scattered traps along the way, he unleashed his Mirror-heart power fully, solely to carve the swiftest path through the endless ruins.

Days later, the edge of the ruins came into view. The scene ahead shifted abruptly; at the wreck's end, the earth seemed torn and devoured by an invisible force, replaced by a bizarre, chaotic, terrifying landscape!

Countless space rifts like black lightning spread and vanished wildly in the void. Shattered Law Fragments, like colorful sharp glass, shot and collided in the turbulence, bursting with destructive light. Twisted yuan-magnetic storms roared silently, pulling at all tangible and intangible things. Various-sized space vortices turned slowly, emitting a suction that devoured everything. Here there was no concept of the four extremes of heaven and earth, only violent energy turbulence and chaotic law clashes, forming a deadly zone so dreadful even immortals would shy away.

"Disorder Rift Belt..." Yan Buji braked sharply at the edge, his face grim as iron. Even with his Great Completion Peak cultivation and adaptability to the Chaos Path, facing this chaos made his soul sting with pain. Yet he had no retreat.

He drew a deep breath, forcing his state upward. The Silence Extinction Chaos Shield contracted and solidified, clinging close to his body. Mirror-heart became the keenest spiritual sense, straining to catch the fleeting, relatively stable 'seam' in the turbulence. The Infinity Chaos Essence Crystal slowly turned, providing the final resilience.

"Charge!"

He gritted his teeth, driving the Void-crossing Boat forward like an arrow loosed from a bow, shooting into this law-filled burial ground!

Upon entry, violent turbulence tore at him from all sides! The Void-crossing Boat shuddered violently, groaning under the strain. Yan Buji focused his mind and soul intensely, steering the small craft through the dense web of space rifts and Law Fragments in a perilous dance, as if treading on millions of blades.

A pitch-black rift imbued with the essence of collapse spread soundlessly, reducing everything in its path to nothing. Yan Buji narrowly dodged it, but suddenly a yuan-magnetic vortex formed to the side, its powerful pull yanking the Void-crossing Boat toward a floating landmass ablaze with pale karmic fire!

"Break!"

Yan Buji shouted in anger, spewing chaos death qi like a dragon, forcibly shattering the vortex. In the instant the Void-crossing Boat broke free, it narrowly missed a meteorite shrouded in decaying law, its grim green hue grazing past!

Chaos! Utmost chaos and danger! At every moment he must face entirely different lethal threats. Mana surged wildly, his soul aching in waves from pushing to the limit. Moreover, the turbulence mixed with heart-devil illusions and resentful echoes, like poisonous snakes drilling into his sea of consciousness, seeking to stir inner demons and shatter his will.

He clung to a single point of chaos clarity at his spirit platform, forcibly refining and isolating those intrusions, the burden weighing like a mountain.

He did not know how long he had struggled on the brink of death; the Void-crossing Boat was already riddled with cracks, its spiritual light dim. Yan Buji himself bled from his seven orifices, his breath feeble.

Just as he neared his limit, deep within the violent turbulence ahead, a faint yet unusually stable and pure spirit-machine pulse flickered, like a lighthouse in the darkness, faintly reaching him!

That spirit-machine pulse differed starkly from the surrounding chaos, carrying a natural, unshakable intent, as if calling from another complete world. The Amber Seal on his brow warmed slightly, pointing toward the pulse's source.

"A path to life?!"

Yan Buji's spirit lifted; he squeezed out his last strength, steering the nearly disintegrating Void-crossing Boat toward that spirit-machine pulse, charging forward without hesitation.

He plunged into the most violent law thunderstorm zone, where countless law thunders of varied colors fell like rain, weaving a net of destruction. The Void-crossing Boat could no longer hold, exploding in a blinding flash and shattering roar!

Yan Buji was flung outward, his protective divine light shattering instantly, his flesh exposed to the violent thunder and turbulence; in an instant his skin split, his flesh tore, and his bones cracked!

Just as he was about to be utterly annihilated, that stable spirit-machine pulse surged, transforming into an invisible hand of law that pierced the chaos, gently yet irresistibly wrapping and pulling him toward a milky-white spirit aura vortex that suddenly appeared at the storm's center, slowly rotating.

"Pfft—!"

It felt like passing through a viscous water membrane, then like falling into a bottomless abyss. After the extreme tearing sensation came a sudden calm and a sense of falling.

"Bang!"

He crashed heavily onto solid ground, the violent impact blackening his vision, consciousness lost entirely, leaving only a faint blur of sensation—beneath him seemed cold, hard rock, the air filled with a fresh yet extremely rich spiritual aura mingled with an unfamiliar Dao rhythm.

He did not know how long had passed—it felt like an instant, yet also like ten thousand years.

A thread of weak consciousness, like a candle in the wind, slowly awakened. Intense pain spread from his limbs and bones, through his meridians and dantian, even to the depths of his soul, reminding him of his grave injuries. His mana was nearly exhausted, his chaos core dim and dark, even the newly born Infinity Chaos Essence Crystal covered in fine cracks.

He struggled to open his heavy eyelids.

What met his eyes was a completely unfamiliar sky.

That sky was not the azure of the Five Regions Nine Heavens, nor the leaden gray of the Netherworld, nor the dim yellow of the Dao Realm. Instead it was a pure, deep indigo blue, vast beyond compare, with a few strands of immaculate white clouds drifting slowly. At the horizon, faint seven-colored rosy light flowed, beautiful enough to make his heart race, yet it exuded an ineffable ancient majesty.

He strained to turn his neck, looking around.

Beneath him lay a mirror-smooth, deep-blue jade platform, its edges carved with complex cloud patterns and star charts brimming with natural rhythm, now emitting a faint warm luster—apparently the platform's own power that had welcomed and cushioned his fall.

The platform sat atop a lone peak. Gazing out, surrounding layers of towering mountains stretched to the horizon. The mountains were majestic and perilous, cloaked in lush, dripping ancient trees and drifting spiritual mist, waterfalls and springs dotting the scene, occasional immortal cranes and spiritual birds appearing. The air brimmed with spiritual aura so thick it seemed almost liquid; with each breath he could feel his cultivation slowly recovering on its own, yet the Dao rhythm within that aura was utterly unlike anything he knew—far older, more complete, and… exclusive? It seemed to possess its own strict operational laws, instinctively rejecting and purifying external forces.
