Chapter 805: Out of Control

She involuntarily reached out, wanting to touch that twisted point of light. Just as her fingertip was about to make contact, Tianji Zi suddenly pulled her away.

"Hey! Girl! Wake up!" The old man's voice boomed like thunder in her ears.

Yun Qing snapped back to her senses, discovering her arm had turned semi-transparent, as if about to merge into the light.

"What's going on?" she asked in terror.

Tianji Zi didn't answer but quickly formed seals, laying layer upon layer of restrictions around them. The stone chamber's shaking grew more violent, and cracks began to appear on the walls.

"Listen, girl." Tianji Zi suddenly spoke solemnly, "The secret of the Primordial Seed is more dangerous than you imagine. Now I will send you away from here."

"And what about you?"

"I'll stay behind to buy time." Tianji Zi took out an ancient copper coin from his bosom and gave it to Yun Qing, "Take this, go to the Heavenly Mechanism Pavilion and find my senior disciple Xuan Ling Zi. He will protect you."

Yun Qing still wanted to say something, but Tianji Zi had already activated the teleportation formation. In the final moment before the light engulfed her vision, she saw the stone chamber's ceiling collapse with a boom, and several terrifying auras descended...

When Yun Qing opened her eyes again, she found herself standing on the back mountain of the Heavenly Mechanism Pavilion. In the distance came fierce fighting sounds, and the entire Heavenly Mechanism Pavilion had fallen into a sea of fire.

She gripped the copper coin, her heart a jumble of emotions. Her father's warning, her master's admonition, the restless Primordial Seed within her... everything pointed to a truth she did not want to face: perhaps she herself was the core of this turmoil.

"No matter who..." Yun Qing wiped away her tears, her gaze gradually firming, "I will uncover the truth and avenge my father!"

She gave one last look at the burning Heavenly Mechanism Pavilion, then turned and disappeared into the darkness. The jade pendant at her chest warmed slightly, as if guiding her forward.

But at this moment, Yun Qing turned and left, walking away from the Heavenly Mechanism Pavilion!

"What? The Grand Merchant Association was attacked in Central Heaven City?!"

"Yeah, it's a big deal. I heard a Great Vehicle Stage cultivator made a move. Last night that aura pressed me to the ground so I couldn't get up—look, my face is covered in dirt marks!"

Those unaware felt shocked, while those in the know had already guessed something.

After this news spread, Yuan Zhen immediately led his people away from the Sect Mining Area, and similarly, Pang Mingde also set out alone from Luohuang Zhou.

Yan Buji, however, took no action; he knew Yun Qing would surely come to find him.

"I can't find her either now; it seems the Grand Merchant Association's people reacted quickly as well. But since the Sacred Heart Alliance chose to act without notifying me, that proves the Grand Merchant Association knows the secret on Yun Qing's body and has resolved to protect her...."

So the Sacred Heart Alliance's move is actually.....

Yan Buji's eyes shifted as he thought of many things.

"They understand the Primordial Seed better than I do. Since the Sacred Heart Alliance overturned the previous plan, it means they also lacked confidence in obtaining the Primordial Seed, so they acted! Their purpose is to stir up the situation, forcing the Grand Merchant Association to relocate Yun Qing to a safer place?"

Perhaps that's exactly the case. If the Sacred Heart Alliance sent people to raid the Grand Merchant Association but gained nothing, then their action wouldn't be meaningless.

Only by making the Grand Merchant Association feel pressure would they choose to place Yun Qing in a safer location for protection—this logic is sound.

But could the people of the Grand Merchant Association not think of this?

Yan Buji thought deeper, because he felt that since the Grand Merchant Association's people, upon learning Yun Qing possessed the Primordial Seed, did not attack her but instead protected her, this shows either the Primordial Seed is not easy to obtain, or they have other motives.

But regardless, Yun Qing is in their hands and has a legitimate identity. The Sacred Heart Alliance can only carry out such raids to force them to send Yun Qing out, so the essence of both sides lies in.....

"The Primordial Seed cannot be easily obtained; perhaps certain conditions are needed. These conditions might only be satisfiable by Yun Qing, who possesses the Primordial Seed, so the Grand Merchant Association, going with the flow, sent her out of the Heavenly Spirit Realm. Where is their destination?" Yan Buji frowned.

Although it's unclear whether this is my guess, Yan Buji knows that if Yun Qing might already have been placed in some secret location, then she definitely would not be in the Heavenly Spirit Realm.

Could it be some anomalous region?

Yan Buji suddenly thought that the Primordial Seed comes from an anomalous region; perhaps one must be within that region to find a way to obtain it, or perhaps the Primordial Seed itself... only manifests some special function within the anomalous region.

Thinking this through, Yan Buji felt his guess was roughly correct, but he dared not be certain.

"The most important question now is not the purpose of the Sacred Heart Alliance's raid on the Grand Merchant Association. Since they think I'm useful, even if they temporarily changed their plan, it wouldn't come to this; rather, telling Yun Qing that I killed Yun Hua would make her come find me.... Could it be?" Yan Buji narrowed his eyes.

Before long, the entire Zhong Tian Zhi Yu will know that I killed the father of a Holy Fetus cultivator.

Hehehe.

But that's not right—if that were the case, the three Great Vehicle Stage cultivators of the Grand Merchant Association would not remain indifferent. Is the Sacred Heart Alliance trying to force those three Great Vehicle Stage cultivators to turn their gaze toward me, that is, toward my backing, the Great Sinful Sect, thereby seizing the opportunity to locate and control Yun Qing in advance?

"If they could confirm Yun Qing's location, why would they need to broadcast my deeds far and wide, unless Yun Qing...."

She is no longer under control either.

Yan Buji suddenly realized a point: he had overlooked a Holy Fetus cultivator who possesses the Primordial Seed; even if that cultivator's cultivation might not be high enough, they are still not lacking.

Furthermore, if she also sensed that the Grand Merchant Association might have other designs on her, then Yun Qing would surely choose a completely different path, not following their intentions.

"Perhaps it's like this."

So Yan Buji conjectured that if later events unfold as he anticipated, that would mean Yun Qing is no longer under their control.

That would serve as circumstantial evidence that the Primordial Seed absolutely cannot be easily obtained; even if she were killed and refined, it would still not be obtainable, requiring special means to utilize it....

This means that Yun Qing cannot be killed, and moreover, one must rely on the power of the Primordial Seed within her to obtain anything.

Yan Buji frowned; this deviates greatly from what he had anticipated.

"If that is the case...." Yan Buji pondered long, then his eyes shifted: "What could I gain then?"

Killing Yun Qing is clearly out of the question; the Sacred Heart Alliance's purpose is probably not truly to exterminate Yun Qing, at least not before they obtain the Primordial Seed or whatever they originally wanted.

Nor could Yan Buji simply wait for Yun Qing to come knocking to kill him, or become a stepping stone for her rise.

But upon careful thought, if the anticipated situation occurs, there would likely be countless eyes on him, even making him willingly let Yun Qing avenge her father.

"No way—my situation keeps getting more dangerous going round and round! I need to find a way to escape this peril!" Yan Buji narrowed his eyes.

To escape the peril while also scheming for the Primordial Seed on Yun Qing's body, there is only one way.

Uncover her lost memories, let her know that I am her biological father!

Yan Buji let out a cold chuckle.
