It also grants access to Primordial Spirits and the Dao arts and cultivation methods learned from those mental images.

But simulating another’s mental image is no simple matter…

After months of study, Chen Hang had largely uncovered the underlying rules.

The foremost rule is that the person being simulated must not exceed the simulator’s own cultivation realm by more than one major stage.

A Qi Condensation cultivator simulates Qi Condensation; a Cultivation of Qi cultivator simulates Cultivation of Qi; a Foundation Establishment cultivator simulates Foundation Establishment; and as for Golden Core, Primordial Spirit, and so on, the principle remains much the same.

For instance, the Yangshan Daoist, when he died, was at the sixth layer of Cultivation of Qi, while at that time Chen Hang had only just achieved Qi Condensation; despite coveting his bodily Dao art, he could not simulate the man’s mental image within the True Truth Realm, and had to abandon the attempt.

Yet this iron rule was not without loopholes.

If the person being simulated held no vigilance or suspicion toward the simulator, and had already suffered injuries, with their vital energy depleted… then even if they were one major realm higher, they could still be drawn into the True Truth Realm.

Xu Xu was a vivid example.

This time, both Chen Hang and Tong Gaolu were at the Cultivation of Qi stage; simulating his mental image within the True Truth Realm was naturally effortless.

After sparring with Tong Gaolu several times, Chen Hang grew weary of further entanglement with him.

The moment he summoned the mental image, he detonated all his talismanic artifacts at once, hurling them at Tong Gaolu; no matter how resilient Tong Gaolu’s body, the explosion left him half-dead.

Repeating this tactic over and over, after collecting countless useless items from the Primordial Spirits…

Finally.

Chen Hang finally laid eyes on that bodily Dao art.

…

“Is this… the Tai Su Jade Body?”

As he grasped the Primordial Spirit,

what flooded into his mind was no longer dense, sprawling text, but only an image: a Dao-robed elder, head raised, hands hanging down.

He was short of stature, yet radiated a majestic, all-conquering aura, as if overlooking the starry seas and cosmos! Hua Jing yet unexposed, Xuan Wheel self-circled; meeting the primal foundation, before the Image of the Emperor; attuning to time, cultivating qi into the Xuan Xuan…”

The Daoic chant thundered, cascading like a waterfall, shaking his mind into chaos.

Simultaneously, the Dao-robed elder began moving his body, his form rising like a long dragon ascending to heaven—ancient and bizarre.

…

Tai Su Jade Body…

This Dao art—or rather, this divine skill—was specially created by Tai Su Zhangren as a method to achieve sainthood through the body.

In ancient times, while wandering beyond the Chaos Sea, he and Long Cang the Monk chanced upon an immature ginseng fruit tree.

To preserve harmony, Tai Su Zhangren and Long Cang the Monk agreed: each would take three disciples within nine thousand years, and every three thousand years, their disciples would compete here.

The winner of two out of three matches would claim the ginseng fruit tree.

Tai Su Zhangren, trusting fully, carefully selected a mortal of decent talent, took him as a disciple, and taught him to cultivate Qi, ingest elixirs, visualize, and consecrate swords; when the three thousand years were up, he brought his disciple to the agreed site.

But after only half a day, Tai Su Zhangren’s disciple was on the defensive; had he not wielded his sword-dashing technique with exceptional skill, he would have been beaten to death.

This was not surprising…

Long Cang’s disciple was an ancient beast, the Dragon Elephant, offspring of the primordial Celestial Dragon and Divine Elephant, inheriting the divine traits of both lineages, with extraordinary bloodline; the breath from its nostrils could shatter one hundred and eight thousand dust motes, and a single drop of its blood could crush ocean trenches.

With such bloodline, and under Long Cang’s tutelage, guided specifically toward becoming a Great Protector of the Dharma, he had visited the Eight Treasures Golden Body Pool multiple times.

Though Tai Su Zhangren’s disciple ultimately unleashed a desperate final strike, severing half the Dragon Elephant’s skull, he was still crushed by a single punch, his body reduced to ruin, leaving only his Primordial Spirit intact.

In the first of three matches, Tai Su Zhangren lost to Long Cang.

Upon returning to his Dao hall, he knew that in the second match, Long Cang would surely bring forth another primordial beast as disciple; thus, he stirred his competitive spirit and specially created a bodily sainthood technique, called the “Tai Su Jade Body,” to oppose those immensely powerful primordial beasts.

After creating the “Tai Su Jade Body,” Tai Su Zhangren casually selected a mortal woman and taught her this technique; when the agreed contest date arrived, he brought her before the ginseng fruit tree.

As expected, Long Cang’s disciple was again a primordial beast.

This time, Long Cang’s disciple was a Kun Peng, soaring through the heavens, riding winds for ninety thousand li, flapping its scales across the sea, striking water for three thousand li.

Yet the Kun Peng and the woman who had perfected the Tai Su Jade Body fought to a standstill, neither gaining the upper hand; they battled until near death, still unable to determine a victor.

The second match ended in a draw.

Tai Su Zhangren rejoiced; Long Cang sighed bitterly.

Originally, just one or two more matches would have decided the fate of the ginseng fruit tree.

But before the next three thousand years passed, a Celestial Official of the Dao Court discovered the ginseng fruit tree’s location; though Tai Su Zhangren and Long Cang were not afraid of Him, they could not disregard the Dao Court.

They could not defy the colossal entity behind Him, who governed all heavens; they could only sigh in helplessness and surrender the ginseng fruit tree.

At that time, the Dao Court was gathering all Dao arts, intending to compile them into a canon named the “Earth Vault Golden Scripture,” to awe all heavens, all Dao, all gods, saints, immortals, and Buddhas.

The “Tai Su Jade Body,” created by Tai Su Zhangren, caught the eye of the Dao Court’s Grand Historian, who included it within the “Earth Vault Golden Scripture.”

…

Chen Hang naturally knew none of these ancient secrets; as the Dao-robed elder’s form shifted, countless pieces of information surged into his mind with the thundering Dao chant, leaving him dizzy and disoriented.

After roughly a few cups of tea’s time, Chen Hang steadied his spirit, retraced everything from the beginning in his mind, and his eyes flashed with sharp brilliance.

“The ‘Tai Su Jade Body’… this method was inspired by Tai Su Zhangren’s journey beyond the Void Sea, observing countless realms and lands collapsing and being reborn within Chaos—his mind sparked, and thus he created it? What profound insight!”

Know this:

Beyond the four classes of supreme beings—immortals, Buddhas, gods, and saints—no existence is eternal or indestructible.

Whether realms, lands, or heavens,

none are permanent, unchanging creations.

Heaven has Great Yang Nine, Great Bai Liu; small Yang Nine, small Bai Liu.

Heavenly calamity is called Yang Nine; earthly deficiency is called Bai Liu. These two disasters are the imbalance and erosion of Heaven and Earth, Yin and Yang.

Yang Nine means drought, sea surges, and land scorched; Bai Liu means sea dried up, mountains sunk into abysses.

Heaven and earth are overturned, rivers and seas surge and burst, humans drown, mountains vanish, gold and jade dissolve, the six directions merge into one, white corpses drift in the boundless void, lonely souls grieve upon the vast waves…

As for the Five Elements’ destruction, the four seasons clashing, Metal and Earth bonding, Water and Fire parting, forests and herbs withering, rivers opening and closing—all are trivial matters.

Take a typical realm as an example—

Every 129,600 years, a small Yang Nine calamity occurs; every 99,825 years, a small Bai Liu disaster arrives.

When the small Yang Nine and small Bai Liu periods arrive, all manner of calamities descend upon the realm.

Either seas sink and lands drown, or the void collapses, or billions of outer realm demons descend to sever life and spirit, or heretical Buddhas and mad gods invade, using their radiant power to engulf a region and drag all beings into endless suffering.

Though terrifying, small Yang Nine and small Bai Liu merely harm the living within the realm and destroy its terrain and spiritual energy, never threatening the realm’s fundamental existence.

But when the Great Yang Nine and Great Bai Liu arrive, that is truly the realm’s moment of life and death!

The heavenly cycle of 1,296,000 years is Great Yang Nine; the earthly cycle of 998,250 years is Great Bai Liu.

These Great Yang Nine and Great Bai Liu are true Great Erosions of Yin and Yang!

Once they arrive, the Nine Qi shift their measure, the sun and moon contract their motion!

Just as a human has a finite lifespan, Great Yang Nine and Great Bai Liu are the end of a realm’s lifespan.

Catastrophic calamities, myriad calamities rising together, are mere common occurrences.

Most horrifying is that the realm’s entire spiritual energy will pour out into the boundless void, unable to retain or absorb any more; the realm itself will gradually disintegrate and shatter, dissolving into the primordial Xuan, Yuan, and Shi Qi, returning to the Chaotic Mother Source.

Born from the Void, finally returning to the Void.

That is all—

Worlds are born from the Xuan, Yuan, and Shi Qi, and when they collapse, they revert to the Xuan, Yuan, and Shi Qi, returning to their source; this is the immutable truth of Heaven’s cyclical balance.

In the usual universe, countless realms collapse due to Great Yang Nine; every 1,296,000 years, all things become ashes.

Some realms cannot even survive until Great Yang Nine arrives—they perish from Great Bai Liu alone, vanishing after 998,250 years, erased from existence, nameless forever.

The calamity of Yang Nine and Bai Liu

does not affect realms alone.

Lands and heavens too must face this doom.

But lands and heavens cannot be compared to mere realms.

Their Yang Nine and Bai Liu calamities arrive far later—often after millions, even tens of millions of years.

Yet correspondingly, their calamities are fiercer, wilder!

…

Tai Su Jade Body.

This bodily sainthood technique, created by Tai Su Zhangren, was forged from the calamities of Yang Nine and Bai Liu, and inspired by observing the Xuan, Yuan, and Shi Qi’s creation of the world.

It is divided into three great realms: Xuan, Yuan, Shi.

Each realm has nine layers, corresponding to the number Yang Nine, in harmony with celestial patterns.

When the ninth layer of the Shi realm is perfected, one can fully cultivate the Tai Su Jade Body, transforming into a flawless Tai Su form.

Upon achieving this realm, moving mountains, overturning seas, shifting ranges—all become trivial matters; one can even wrestle with Kun Peng and contend with Dragon Elephant breeds without yielding.

To match the primordial divine bodies with a human form—undoubtedly, this is an extraordinarily powerful Dao art and divine skill!

In terms of rarity, among all Chen Hang’s possessions, only the “Divine House Shu Hua Dao Jun’s Discourse on the Primordial True Scripture” rivals it.

As for which holds higher insight, Chen Hang’s current perspective cannot yet judge.

…

“Though the ‘Tai Su Jade Body’ is extraordinary, it has several difficulties…”

Within the True Truth Realm, Chen Hang mused: “It demands an immense amount of spiritual energy; in mortal realms or small sects like Xuanzhen Sect, one might cultivate for centuries and still be no stronger than Tong Gaolu. Also, the choice of material must be carefully considered.”

Tai Su Jade Body.

This divine art is not as difficult as it seems, otherwise Tong Gaolu and Yangshan Daoist could not have succeeded in cultivating it.

Its essence is merely to treat the human body as heaven and earth, refining it through vast quantities of spiritual energy to achieve results.

But for cultivators, spiritual energy is inherently exceedingly precious—it is the very path to immortality.

Every bit used on the Tai Su Jade Body means one less bit available for one’s own cultivation progress.

After all, even if one perfects the Tai Su Golden Body, it grants no extended lifespan—it is a classic case of gaining technique without attaining the Dao, a heretical path.

“I possess the Tai Shi Yuan Zhen; all one hundred twenty-nine thousand six hundred types of spiritual energy are at my disposal. Unlike Tong Gaolu and the others, who can only draw upon a few kinds, this is my advantage!”

Chen Hang let out a light laugh.

The higher the level of true qi, the greater the number of spiritual energy affinities it can absorb!

But a true qi like the Tai Shi Yuan Zhen, capable of encompassing the entirety of primordial spiritual energy—Chen Hang believed that even if such existed in the Nine Provinces and Four Seas, there would be no more than five fingers’ worth.

“Second, the Tai Su Jade Body requires finding a binding object before cultivation can begin. The choice of this binding object…”

The Tai Su Jade Body is, after all, a supreme divine art that usurps the work of heaven and earth.

What ordinary method allows one to merely absorb spiritual energy and directly elevate the level of a divine art? Where is there such a thing?

But the Tai Su Jade Body can!

Since it treats the human body as heaven and earth to refine, does heaven and earth encounter any obstruction when absorbing spiritual energy to grow?

Naturally, none exists.

The first step in cultivating the Tai Su Jade Body is to find an object and refine it using the secret methods of the Tai Su Jade Body scripture, making it the binding object to deceive heaven and earth’s perception, achieving unity with all things.

Only then can this divine art continuously draw in spiritual energy and ascend in level.

Yet this method has a flaw even the Tai Su Elder cannot resolve.

If the binding object is discovered through divination or fortune-telling, and its perception is shattered, the cultivator instantly loses the ability to deceive the void and must exit the state of unity with all things.

Instantly, the calamity of Yang Jiu Bai Liu will descend.

This calamity corresponds to heaven and earth—if it strikes a human body, how could one survive?

In short, cultivators skilled in divination and fortune-telling are the natural enemies of those who cultivate the Tai Su Jade Body.

They need not lift a finger—merely by pinching their fingers and calculating, heaven’s retribution and earth’s punishment will arise to punish their foes.

Moreover, when breaking through the three realms of Xuan, Yuan, and Shi within the Tai Su Jade Body, there will be Xiang Fei and Lei Zhen to obstruct success; without the protection of a great divine art master, one cannot pass through.

“The Tai Su Jade Body is excellent, but its regulations are exceedingly strict. Let’s not even mention Xiang Fei and Lei Zhen—that’s for later—but this binding object?”

Chen Hang hesitated.

The divine art scripture repeatedly mentions that after selecting the binding object, one must daily reinforce it with concealment techniques, or ask senior elders of one’s sect to cast spells that disrupt divination.

Otherwise, if an enemy calculates its location and shatters its perception, unless a god intervenes, no one can save you.

“No wonder the lower sections of this scripture still carry annotations from the Dao Court… stating that only disciples of great divine art masters may cultivate the Tai Su Jade Body.”

“This method is utterly useless—tasteless to eat, regrettable to discard. Among the thirty-four thousand methods of achieving sainthood through the body, it ranks among the lowest tiers—only fit for display, of negligible use.”

Chen Hang’s gaze flickered:

“The Dao Court has quite the audacity—casually judging even a powerful divine art created by the Tai Su Elder, with a tone of disdain and a low evaluation… I wonder what kind of power they are? Greater than the Eight Sects?”

He fell into silent thought for a while, unusually restless in the Yi Zhen Fa Jie, not cultivating at all.

Binding object… celestial fate…

Chen Hang paced back and forth, frowning at the boundless, empty space.

Soon after, suddenly, his expression changed—he clapped his hands in excitement and burst into laughter:

“Of course!
