Chapter 1924: Carrying Out the Assassination

The purpose of the incense is to induce sleep; it was originally invented by a doctor to help those suffering from insomnia.

However, it was later discovered during the assassination missions carried out by the Longyan Special Forces that this incense could not only cure illnesses, but also kill!

Those who smell this incense will fall into a deep slumber.

And for them, these people who have fallen into a deep slumber are the best targets for action.

These people will not be disturbed, nor will they be startled awake.

Furthermore, even if there are other guards lying in ambush inside the room, they will lose their will under the effect of this incense and fall into a deep sleep.

By the time they wake up, the person they intended to protect will have long since breathed their last.

After waiting for a period of time, Li He put on a mask—a mask capable of resisting the incense, though wearing it only delays the time it takes for the hypnosis to take effect.

Looking at General Huo En, who was fast asleep on the bed.

Li He did not hesitate at all and ended his life with a single blade strike!

This operation was not very difficult for him.

Even the defensive measures designed by General Huo En, those hidden sentries and open sentries, were nothing more than child's play.

They held little significance for them.

Just as Li He was about to withdraw, the room door creaked open, and a fat man wearing pajamas appeared.

He stepped forward, saw that Huo En was already dead, and let out a laugh.

Li He was already hiding in the shadows; even in the dark of night, Li He clearly saw who the person who walked in was—it was none other than Delu!

Delu said coldly, "A play must be performed with a complete trap!"

Li He watched as Delu pointed to his own arm and a less critical spot on his chest.

"Shoot me twice!"

Li He did not have a shred of hesitation; he raised his hand and fired two shots!

But these two shots did not take Delu's life.

The sound of the gunfire also alerted the guards inside the castle; as the shots rang out, the members of the Longyan Squad also received the signal.

They immediately retreated.

By the time the French Soldier arrived, only Delu was lying in a pool of blood, looking incomparably miserable.

"Catch... catch the murderer!"

Delu squeezed out these few words with difficulty before fainting.

At this moment, the Longyan Squad led by Li He had already retreated and left.

The French Soldier on the scene saw General Huo En dead on the bed, while Delu had been shot twice.

They immediately deduced the following scenario.

Delu heard the noise and rushed over to find General Huo En, only to see the murderer committing the crime.

Delu put up a resistance but was unfortunately shot!

Because of General Huo En's death, the French army's operational timeline was indeed delayed, and at this time, there were no generals within the French army capable of taking over the duties of the general.

They could only elect Delu, who held the highest official rank at the time.

Just like that, Delu became the supreme commander of the French army in Australia.

And no one knew that Delu was the real culprit who killed General Huo En!

On the other side, Li He also immediately launched an operation!

An operation to capture a mole!

The final result was that Fu Cang was captured, and a unit of the Resistance Army was confirmed to be the mole unit.

The Resistance Army had to reduce its personnel by two thousand!

But in the long run, this was a good thing.

The elimination of the mole could allow the Resistance Army to obtain a very good environment for survival.

As for how the Longyan Army caught the mole, this matter must be told from the beginning.

After seeing that intelligence that had appeared out of nowhere, Li He suspected that there was a mole by his side.

Li He interrogated Fu Cang.

"I have thought of many people as the mole, but I did not expect"

"it to be you, my brother!"

Fu Cang sneered as he looked at Li He: "Is this very surprising?"

Li He looked at him calmly: "No, this is not surprising at all; I still remember when you and Ge Dazhuang found me back then."

"You said you hoped I would come to command the current Longyan Army."

"I still remember our subsequent battles."

"If you hadn't shown your true colors when I mentioned the contents of that letter, I almost would have believed you were the real Fu Cang!"

Fu Cang was stunned; he looked at Li He and then laughed out loud.

"You knew it all?"

Li He remained silent; he looked at Fu Cang's face and had nothing more to say.

Fu Cang said indifferently: "Since you knew it long ago, why didn't you arrest me earlier? Why did you have to wait until after the operation was over?"

Li He said coldly: "Because I needed you to keep Delu steady, and I needed to buy time for our troops to relocate!"

"If the mission wasn't completed, Delu would have taken action against the Resistance Army, and because of your existence, our intelligence should have been completely exposed."

"If I didn't wait for you all to be completely off guard, how would I dare to make a move?"

Fu Cang suddenly understood, and he said: "So you spent these days just waiting for today's mission to be completed, so that you would have time to relocate the troop's base and escape the encirclement and suppression of the French army?"

Li He nodded, then shook his head: "What you say is both true and not."

"We are indeed waiting for the mission to be completed, but more importantly, it is to keep you steady; as long as I go to complete the mission, the troops will be safe."

"And as long as I complete the mission, the troops will be in danger; however, if I discover your identity as an undercover agent, the French troops will likewise be in danger."

"Sigh." Li He sighed and said: "After I complete the mission, your French troops will likely launch an attack on us at that time."

Fu Cang nodded: "General Li He, you are quite right, so how do you choose now?"

"Fight a counterattack, wait for death, or relocate your position?"

"No, you have already relocated your position, but this only delays the time of your destruction; the French troops already possess more powerful firepower than your troops."

"They possess more troops than you, and more importantly, Tasmania is only so big; you Resistance Army have nowhere to escape!"

Li He watched calmly; seeing Li He's gaze, Fu Cang's laughter came to an abrupt halt.

He did not know why a sudden feeling of unease rose from the bottom of his heart.

Just at this moment, Ge Dazhuang ran over, covered in sweat.

"General, it's all buried, buried according to your requirements; once those sons of bitches from the French troops come over, we can definitely send them to the Western Paradise in one go!"

Fu Cang roared: "Impossible, you currently have no weapons at all, let alone Black Powder; I am clear on the quantity of your Black Powder!"

"That amount of Black Powder, plus the Cannonball, isn't even enough to ambush the French troops!"

No matter how Fu Cang roared, Li He's face remained completely calm.

Fu Cang could not understand why, and fear began to rise in his heart again.

But no matter how one looked at it now, the Resistance Army had no Method to achieve final victory.

Li He said coldly: "Did your brother ever tell you the production Method for Landmine, and the use of sugar in explosives?"

Fu Cang was stunned, and immediately a look of terror appeared on his face.

His brother had told him all of these!

Seeing his expression, Li He sneered: "It seems Fu Cang told you; I just can't understand, as Fu Cang's own younger brother, why did you want to harm him?"

"Just because you grew up in France since you were a child?"

"Forget it, I don't want to know your inner journey either; I just want to blow you up now and let your brother educate you properly in heaven!"
